What's retiring #2

Hi Everyone,
I thought I'd carry on sharing some of the retiring bits with you,  this one, Star Blast edgelits and Birthday Blast Clear mount bundle yep it's on there:(  and both the Birthday Blast stamp set and the Star Blast Edgelits are currently discounted if you buy them separately Stamp set down to $26.35 and edgelits down to $28 ($54.35 for both, which is cheaper than the bundled price!)
I think the dies are pretty cool, as you can make them stand up like the card above, or just use them flat as in the card below, the sayings are in a lovely font too, and when you cut out the stars you end up with the separate stars from the inside (bonus!)

Ok well that's it for now I hope this inspires you to create!

What's retiring......

Hi Everyone,
Oh my goodness I have printed out 6 pages of retiring products! there's a few things I'm really sad to see going! Some are reduced by up to 50%! (but you really best get in quick for those)  I've discovered some things are already sold out :(
If you don't have the owl builder punch and always thought you'd get it, get on quick and order one! here he is just peeking out from the inside of the card! it also uses the Hardwood Stamp (not retiring yay!)
Very sad to see Gorgeous Grunge on the retiring list too as that's one I've used a LOT, great for backgrounds! Oh here it is paired with Better than Email (already gone!)
And one more for now, Birthday Fiesta, I loved this little Lama/Alpaca as soon as I saw him the stamp set is on low inventory as we "speak" however the bundle isn't on low: Birthday Fiesta Bundle
Yea that Better Together (the wording for Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday in the last 2 cards, is continuing on)

Ok well that'll do for now.... (stay tuned)  I hope this has inspired you to hop on and check out the retiring list, if you're ordering and not part of my Craft@Home Group, do use this code with the chance to win some FREE goodies KRGDPPJQ (put it into the "hostess code" bit when you order.  Also if you tell the website that you don't want to be contacted by the demonstrator, I won't know it's you that's ordered, so I won't be able to include you in the draw!

God Bless love

And another baby card....

Hi Everyone,
Well this time I thought I'd make up a "pastels" baby card, at least it can be used for a boy or girl this one!
Who doesn't love this cute Baby Bear Stamp set?  I'm hoping he continues into the next annual catalogue, all will be revealed on 11th April when the retiring list comes out!  I really like the way you can cut out the bow with the Holly Berry Builder Punch (yes I could hand cut but isn't it so much nicer to have an implement do it for you? lol)  I've also used the largest Lots of Labels framelit die, which the teddy fits into nicely. Oh and for the background for teddy, I've cut a mask of the teddy which I laid over him (after I realised that the So Saffron colour would show up over top of him - oops!) and used one of the Gorgeous Grunge Stamps.  It looked a bit boring plain!

Hope this inspires you to create,
God Bless love

Global Design Project (GDP081)

Hi Everyone,
I keep meaning to join in the Global Design Project, and by the time I know it, the week has gone... again!
So this time I'm hoping to get in on the act with this card, I've created it for friends we know who've just had a baby boy, bet you can't guess his name - lol!
The brief is a colour combo this time, Night of Navy,  White and a free colour

Here we are my creation! those who know me will know I'm not a traditional light blue and light pink baby card person, so this palette suited me well for this card
Not sure it shows up terribly well, but I've used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to create the name, then sponged/daubed the Night of Navy to 1/2 way up (I love this graduated colour look), I've used some of the beautiful Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper in the background.
Then the little teddy out of the Bookcase Builder Stamp set, and also the saying from Baby Bear Stamp set.  The extra colour I've used is the Silver Foil line across the middle of the card I think it gives just the right amount of zing to the card๐Ÿ˜Š
I hope they like it, and it makes it into a baby album at some point!  What do you think? have you ever tried sponging the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper?

I hope it inspires you to have a go!

But Wait there's more Bigshot creations.....

Hi Everyone,
At the end of the last post I did say I'd be adding another one using up some of the bits that we created the other day (admittedly a couple of these are ones I'd created before the class, but as they Oooh'd and Ahhh'd over them appropriately, I thought I'd best share with the wider world too ๐Ÿ˜
First up using the Butterflies Thinlits dies. All these cards use the partial cutting technique.

and this one uses theStarBlast Edgelits

I did take another photo closeup of the die cut bit, here it is!
It's made up as an Easel Card, so the die cut pops out of the top (might need to create a stamp for this one too, as I did think it would look pretty cool with the die cut stamped into the gap on the card!).... thinking on that one......!

Moving onto this last card to show you today, again using the Butterflies thinlit die, as a partial cut I've added silver foil cardstock behind it and I'm not sure the photos really do it justice, but wow, it's amazing! the foil reflects back the colours, like a mirror, behind the Designer Series Paper (which of course are the colours that are on the edge of the card - having folded the edges back to show them), I've taken a couple more photos to see if I can show you it a bit better:

What do you think?  I'd love to hear your comments, or if you've tried anything like this before.
There's still 2 more dates left in May for my Making the Most of your Bigshot class, where I'll be teaching this technique, do let me know if you're interested!
And I hope this has inspired you to Create!

Making the Most of Your Bigshot (creations)

Hi everyone,
as promised here are some of the creations I've made up with the techniques I am teaching at the "Making the most of your Bigshot" Class
These first 2 cards show partial embossing techniques, funny thing with this first one, is that I'd chosen the Holly Embossing folder, so then it was blue! Umm wasn't too sure about a blue Christmas card like this, however the holly really isn't appropriate for anything other than Christmas! So I added the Seasonal Bells Stamp set and the Bell Punch.  Then when I was making it I had to grab a new sheet of grid paper for underneath (and I usually reuse the ones from class).  And I have to show you the photo I took as I discovered that I had Christmas sentiment already stamped on the grid paper, it made me laugh, as lets face it April isn't the usual time to create Christmas cards :) so hopefully you can see the sentiment under my card says "Warm heartfelt greetings for a Very Merry Christmas" how appropriate - lol!
Ok onto the 2nd partially embossed card: this one has an oval in the centre that isn't embossed, so you can stamp in the middle of it. I've used the Lovely Lace Embossing folder
Next up a partial cutting technique we used butterflies or dragonflies in this case the Detailed Dragonfly thinlit dies, to make them flutter off the page!
Both the ladies on Wednesday loved this technique, and I love the way it looks on a card

This card was finished off with the "Wild About Flowers" photopolymer stamp set the Thistles in this set are really pretty

We also went through Embossing with Thinlits and framelits, which is where this card comes in using the Up and Away Thinlits.
I just love the fact that you can do so much more with your bigshot than just the obvious!

Oh and another thing we did was creating our own stamps using dies.

Again using the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits I've created this card.  A bit of Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter over top of the wings, and I love it!

If you are interested in doing my "Making the Most of Your Bigshot class"  I have 2 more dates scheduled in May - Wednesday 10th (evening) and Sunday 28th (afternoon) or should I call that a "Crafternoon" lol ๐Ÿ˜Š

Another post to come with some more of the creations I've made from our samples .......... (watch this spot as they say, alternatively just keep an eye on my blog ๐Ÿ˜ƒ)

Anyway I hope this has inspired to you create.

Making the most of your Bigshot Class

Hi Everyone,
I did the first "Making the most of your Bigshot" Class on Wednesday morning, and there are 2 more in May - Wed 10th (evening) and Sunday 28th (afternoon).
I thought I'd share a couple of the photos from the day on Wednesday (because I actually remembered to take some at the end - lol)

So here are the 2 lovely ladies holding up some of their creations! they are both holding up their die Partial cut's, check out the next blog post (hopefully coming tomorrow) for the photos of creations I've made with some of the techniques we tried out.

This is one of the things I show at the class, how to elongate a die cut, the "official box" is the smaller one on the right :)
If you would like to book in for either of my Bigshot classes in May, you will need to reserve your space with a $5 deposit - ask me for more details (the numbers are limited)
Do check out my next blog post for some more inspiration
