Something Saturday - Louvre Windows Card

Image
Hi there Creators Today I thought I'd show you how to create this Louvre Windows card (little bit of trivia, did you know Louvres were invented back in the middle ages around 1500 years ago?, they were made of wood and put on pitched roofs to let out smoke, and increase circulation)😃 Anyway moving on.... I saw these kind of cards at the Picture to Page show, and of course the company selling them had dies to cut out all the components, but I figured I could make it work my own way. And so Voila: I made this card up before the video using the Celebratory Sips Designer paper (see all the links below) and here it is opened up (little difficult to photograph!) So this is the bit that's obscured above! Then in the video this is the card I made up, this time using the Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper (again links below) and the middle..... as you can see I used a bit more of the designer paper to cut out and add to the middle sections and again the obscured bit Links for products R...

Cards for April Classes

Image
Hi there Creators Yay, sharing our cards for my April Classes now, so I don't forget when my Mum is over! Class dates in April are Friday 4th 1pm in my classroom Laanecoorie, and Saturday 5th at 10.30am at Wattle City Church Maryborough. Don't forget to book your place! First up we have this card made with the Spring Corners Bundle (it's an Online bundle in case you're wondering where it arrived from!)  I was quite taken with the dies in particular, but of course some of them cut out images, and after having seen these cute little balloons on someone else's card I was hooked!🤣 also used the delicate Blooming pearls , I felt it needed something that wasn't really bold with this set! Next up We have this card using Birthday Celebration Stamps , and One More Year Stamps , I love using the Brights colours with the One More Year Stamps, I really feel it lends itself to bright and fun!  Inside the card is a surprise saying of " At least you're not as old ...

Something Saturday - Concentric Shapes Cards

Image
Hi There Creators Today I decided to have a go at something that's been brewing in my brain, and I'm happy with the way it turned out, not sure if there's a specific name for cards like this or if this is a Heather special! The idea is to stamp a nice colourful image for the underneath image, then the same image as a plain image non-coloured in or less decorative.   This one then gets cut up with a series of dies that allow a small gap between them.  I thought it would be cool if the top image is raised and the best way I found of doing this was to add Foam Adhesive sheets to the back before it's cut, gives it a nice sturdy lift, plus saves faffing around with mini dimensionals and trying to cut them down! Anyway here are the photos of the finished cards, and you end up making 2 cards out of the one cut! these are the ones I made up first, using the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and the absolutely gorgeous Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments So then onto the one...

Cards for March classes

Image
Hi there Creators, here are the cards we'll be making in March at my classes which are Wednesday 1st at 10.30am and Thursday 2nd at 7pm in Laanecoorie (my classroom) and Saturday 4th at 10.30am in Maryborough. First up:  I thought this was kind of an interesting almost linen look to the hexagons on this card, then I've used the Biggest Wish stamps to create the bold sayings.  To see what I used, click here:  what Heather used Next up are the Sea turtles, I saw someone else using these and once I realised the size I decided they were worth having, I love the bright colours I've used on them, click this link to see what I used for this card: What Heather used Next up I do love this Watercolor World stamp so I after mentioning last month that I might use it this month (and getting a positive response....)  I've teamed it up with the Hope & Prayer stamp set, that hasn't seen much use yet, but I do love the images in it!  Check out what I used for this car...
