Cool! watercolour pencils on black card

Hi Creators,
I was thinking about a gorgeous technique I've done before that uses white embossing on black cardstock then you use the aqua painter to add white craft ink to the design, allow it to dry a bit, then add colour over the top, (it's a little time consuming) and I was wondering if I could produce any other ways of colouring on Black card (I'm sure others have done this too, but I haven't noticed it).  So......enter the Watercolor Pencils , yep they're spelt missing the 'u' in the catalogue (it's an American thing!) although its really hard to spell color that way when you're so used to spelling it colour! lol

However moving on if you're a regular reader of my blog you'll notice that in my class this month we're using this technique on this card:
however I decided to make a video on it, and thought I'd use a different set, that doesn't have quite so much to colour in (keep the video shorter).  This next photo shows what I used to make the card, the watercolor pencils, White craft Ink stamp pad,  the Designer Series Paper is the gorgeous Petal Promenade, and the stamp set is Beautiful You
And finally the video itself:
I hope you enjoy it and it inspires you to dig out your black cardstock and watercolour pencils (don't let it get wet on the card, as the colour then sinks into the card, and disappears)
Happy Stampin'
God Bless
Love

GDP164 Entry

Hi Stampers
I've been meaning to enter the Global Design Project Challenge for a while, I did a few quite a long time ago, and keep getting the emails and forgetting, so this time it went on my list!, and I combined it with my thankyou card for the month!, so if you order from me in November, you can expect to receive this at some point.

However first up, the challenge...... This time it's a CASE "Copy and Selectively Edit" by Louise Sharp, here is her card.

http://www.global-design-project.com/2018/11/global-design-project-164-case-designer.html
I liked the layout of her card, so that is what I chose to go with for mine, I've also included a "sneak peek" of a new product called "Bloom by Bloom, which I received (for free) recently at the Stampin' Up! conference called "On Stage"  and here it is.....
I made 2 versions one in White and one in Vanilla, so then of course had to use 2 different ribbons! I think I prefer the white with the polka dot tulle ribbon over the Vanilla with the Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon, which do you prefer?  The background paper is the beautiful Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.

Also thought I'd mention how I created the graded effect on the flower
I started off inking the whole stamp with Flirty Flamingo, then daubed Melon Mambo onto the bottom of it, then stamped, giving that different grades of pink look, you have to make sure you dab it and not swipe, as it doesn't work if you swipe, you end up with an incomplete image.

Soon Sale a Bration and the new Occasions Catalogues will be here! if you have ordered from me in the last year, you will be receiving the new Catalogues through the mail (or in person) once I am able to order them, if not or you're not sure, and you'd like me to get one to you, do let me know, and I'll make sure I get them to you

Don't forget if you order during November and your order is over $125 you will qualify for my free Bonus gift, your choice of a Shimmer Paint, if your order is between $125 and $250 pop this hostess code in  RJZEGMNQ if it's over $250 you'll qualify for free hostess $'s for yourself, so don't put the hostess code in!

I hope you have been inspired to create with this!

Interactive Cards for August (Waterfall Cards)

Hi There
As the title says, this month we are doing Waterfall cards on Thursday 23rd August, as it is a mail out as well as "in person" class I have tried to limit the amount of stamping involved as I can't mail out pre-stamped bits for people, so if you do order this as a mail out kit, you'll just need to find a couple of appropriate sayings from your stache! Having said that I'll tell you what I used :)

So the first card I just couldn't resist using this really cute Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper
I thought it was such a cute card that the saying "just a note to lift your spirits" from Lift Me Up Stamp set went so well with it.

The next card almost said Hello, but then I changed it to HB2U, seemed more "useable" like this.
this one uses the beautiful Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, and the fabulous Large Letters Framelit dies, with a quick hark back to the Large numbers (no longer available)  And I've used the Hostess set Hand Delivered for the small flowers and sayings.

And a little video of them "in action"

Do let me know if you're interested in joining in the class $20 or getting a mail out kit $17
I hope for now this inspires you to create!

Cards for August

Hi there,
Amazing isn't it how the year is just rushing past?  I have the cards sorted for August, Class dates are Saturday 4th in Maryborough at 10am, then Wednesday 8th in Laanecoorie at 10.30am and 7.30pm
Here they are, I'm hard pushed to choose a favourite this month, but this first one might be it!
it uses the beautiful "Healing Hugs" stamp set, and I had to use the new gorgeous purples!  Gorgeous Grape, and Highland Heather (oh what a good name lol)
This would have to come a close second, how cute is this little platypus? he's from the stamp set Postcard Pals.  Using spot of paper piecing, so bring your specs/glasses to class! I thought he teamed up rather well with the Seaside Embossing Folder, what do you think?
Next is this dinky little card made using the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes, and Oh my goodness! the stunning Petal Promenade designer Series Paper, and not forgetting the Darling Label punch box which comes with it's own set of stamps and 2 cute little stampin spots.
This last card is not quite finished as I expected the ribbon I want to use on it, to arrive on Friday, but alas no, so just imagine it with ribbon down the side! (hence the gap!)  I've used the Rooted in Nature bundle to create this card and also the Subtle Embossing folder, which gives the background the lovely textured look.
I hope these cards inspire you to create in your own space and I'd love you to come and join in one of my classes, do let me know if you can!
God Bless love
