Something Saturday - Waterfall PopCorn Card

Image
Hi there Creators I was scrolling through Facebook the other day and came across a short with a simple Waterfall Card on it, and realised, hey I haven't done one of those in ages!  this is nice and simple (in theory, although towards the end of the video, I had to do a bit of adjustment! I ended up making a second card with only 5 waterfall pieces rather than the original 8, and it seems to work better (plus I didn't have to think up another 3 windows for it🤣  I've photographed them side by side, so you can see each window..... Now for the measurements, for the Popcorn Card you'll need:  And if you want to see the goodies I used click this link: Popcorn Waterfall Card 8 pieces of 7cm x 7cm (colour) 8 pieces of 6cm x 6cm (white) strip 2cm x 14cm 7cm x length of A4 (29.8cm), scored at 7cm, 8, 9,10,11,12, 13 and 14cm For the "Not 29 Anymore" Card you'll need: And if you want to see the goodies I used click this link: Not 29 Waterfall Card 5 pieces of 3...

Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

Image
Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...

Something Saturday - Inchie equivalent card for those with an A4 Brain!

Image
Hi there Creators, Well today I thought I'd have a go at an "inchie" card, only mine (unsurprisingly for me) aren't inchies! The idea behind it is that you have inch squares, which get attached to a background paper (which has been scored up before hand so you have lines to attach your inchies to, and embossed with an embossing folder, which then deletes the score lines. However, as you have to cut your base card down to create an inchie card, I decided to do things "my way" hence "equivalent for an A4 brain" Here are the 2 Inchie cards I received the first one from Simone my up-line as a swap at the Stampin' Up!event. She's used the beautiful vibrant Flowering Zinnias designer series paper and the second from Lee-Allan one of my down-line (which uses some paper that now I need to buy 🤣) check it out for yourself:  Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper then I got onto creating one - my size using retired Designer Papers (you can never ...
