Something Saturday - Hooray for Honeycomb Kit

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I thought we'd take a look at one of the new Kits that Stampin' Up! has brought out, it's really fun!, the name "honeycomb" kind of gives it away🤣 There are 9 cards to create, and it's a nice simple kit, would make an excellent gift for anyone who is thinking of starting off with card-making, there's no stamping involved - it's all "stick it together" and everything is included to do this.  At $32 it works out to $3.56 per card (which let's face it is pretty cheap for a card these days!) So here are the cards you can make (3 of each): Don't you just love the matching envelopes? The front of each card has clear embossed shiny bits on it (most obvious on the rainbow card at the top! with my photography) And there you have it, I haven't had the chance to play around and see what else I can create with this kit yet, so if you get it and do play around, let me know what you do! If you missed the video here it

Hi there Creators, Today we're checking out the Rock & Roll designer Series Paper , it's a great all rounder being black & white (check it out with the link above) Oh and don't forget..... that Sale-a-Bration (SAB) is still going to the end of Feb, which means for every $90 you purchase you get a FREE SAB goody , or if you have heaps you want, you could join my team , and pick $235 of goodies, and only pay $169! plus you get the Glass Mat Studio for FREE or an extra $51 of goodies to pick for free! (making it $286 you can pick and only pay $169!! bargain!)  click the links to find out more info. Anyway, onto the cards I created with it, after last week I was kind of stuck on my Alphabet A La Mode dies , so kept using them🤣  Oh Plus I also used the new Stampin' Brayer to create a great quick colour for the background so it wasn't the stark white (the advantages of having black & white designer paper!) then I used my Stampin' Write markers to c

Something Saturday - Let's Go Alphabet

Hi There Creators, Today we're checking out both of the Alphabet Die sets that Stampin' Up! have on offer at the mo. Alphabet A La Mode Dies , and Mini Alphabet Dies, both sets really handy, and if you're a scrapbooker, I'd say they're essential! Anyway, here are the cards I created this time: The first card, kind of uses the off-cut piece, and I suggested in the video you could do an anagram of someone's name using it, this one is just a FOR U card 😊 with a few other off cuts I happened to have lying around on my desk. Then this is the card I made up in the video, I had previously cut the black glimmer paper (quite a long time ago) intending to make up a card like this, which clearly hadn't been used 🤣 can't rush these things! So, as Sam's birthday is looming at the end of Feb, and he'll be 13 I thought I could make it up for him, his fav colour is "cyan" as he likes to call it (I'd call it turquoise or blue) I've used Tahi

Something Saturday - Mini Ink Pads & Alphabet dies

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I showed off a quick way to create 2 cards from one cut, nice and simple, but with a great look to them. Here are the cards:  The cool thing with this is you can gear it to the colours the person really likes. The idea is to have a piece of card that will give a nice gap all the way round once it's on your card, mine measures 9.5cm x 13.8cm (bearing in mind my base card is 10.5cm x 14.8cm).  You cut out the Happy (or other word) I've used the Alphabet a la Mode dies , leaving enough room to stamp a sentiment in too, (I've used Biggest Wish Stamp set ) use the cut out letters in the other card, and add colour to your base card so it peeps through. I've taken my mini ink pads and swiped them on their ends to get this scribbled effect, I guess you could use pencils or pens, but this was so quick and easy!  Mini ink pads - or Stampin' Spots as they're actually called are such fabulous pads to have, I've inked one up for each colour we h

Hi there Creators, Happy New Year! (or at least New Years eve😍) Today I'm showing off how to create another card design that I was sent for Christmas, I can see so many ways to use this throughout the whole year, and it's such an easy card to make (don't you just love that?!) With this card I'm doing a bit of a sneak peek (not that far in advance now as it'll be available on 5th January)  I'm using the Alphabet a la Mode Dies, such a great die set and I love that it has numbers as well as letters. As you can see I made one each up for my kids for Christmas.  Ben even commented that it was a great card and would be good for all year round (high praise!) I've actually used the Storybook Gnomes Designer Papers in the background which amazingly are still available despite being reduced on the retiring list! (from $21 down to $12.60)  check them out through the link they're available till 4th January, not long to go! Here is the inside of Sam's card, I
