Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

Something Saturday - Clear Blocks are more than just for Stamps!

Image
Hi There Creators join me today as I show you how to make the most of your clear blocks! Before the video I had actually managed to create a couple of cards - yay go me!! Which were these ones; To find out what I used on this first card click here:  What Heather Used   To find out what I used for this Chick Card, click here: What Heather Used  Then in the video I showed how to create this wall using clear blocks, to see what I used click here: What Heather used   In the video I mention when one of us at work gets distracted one of the other girls has a catch phrase for it "Oh look a squirrel!"  After having mentioned that, I thought, Oh squirrels would look good on top of the wall! 🤣 (good job I have squirrel stamps!) and for this card I show how to create these frames, to see what I used clear here:  What Heather used  It's actually easy to use your clear block to create cool backgrounds or as in the squirrel card, bricks.  All you do is f...

Cards for August Classes

Image
Hi there Creators, Well I've made the decision to re-commence classes in August in my classroom, with a max of 3 participants, (unless we get locked down further between now and the dates!) With that in mind, these are the cards we'll be creating: A couple of male'ish cards:  This Camouflage Background Stamp is such a fabulous background!  and the saying is from Happiest of Birthdays , which again is a fabulous stamp set, I like the way the sayings are so big, and clear. I've used one of the Holiday Rhinestone Basic jewels in the i of birthday, such lovely colours in these jewels! Card #2 this is the first time I've got round to using this " Whiskey Business" stamp set , and I really wanted to convey looking in through a window at the aftermath of a party scene, with the balloons ( Balloon Bouquet Punch ) bumping up against the ceiling and 1/2 a drink left. (hoping I achieved it!) Card #3 I've not used this stamp much either, from Ornate Style stamp ...

Camouflage Stamp

Image
Hi there Creative Peeps, Well if you have any "boyzie boys" or "boyzie girls" (if you get my drift!) in your life I think this is a must have background stamp!  Camouflage is the stamp, and there's nothing to it but to show you what I made with it......  I've used the same stamp in the middle, from Happiest of Birthdays Stamp set , I really love the size of this stamp.  Sadly it doesn't show up on the photos terribly well with this green one! I embossed it with Gold embossing powder.  Oh and I used Mossy Meadow for the green. Next card; I wanted to make a matching card for the blanket I made for Sam (youngest son), and I noticed the base of it is blue in colour, so I started off with Balmy Blue cardstock, then used the Misty Moonlight to stamp the Camouflage, and silver embossing powder for the saying.  I have to say Sam was pretty chuffed with it and did proclaim it to look the same as his blanket. This last card I thought I should make a girlie camo ...
