Class Cards for August

 Hi there Creators

Here are the cards we'll be creating at my classes in August.

Class Dates are: Tuesday 6th at 2pm (it's been a bit all over the place the start time, so we'll try 2pm this time 🤣)  Then Thursday 8th at 7pm (both these are at my classroom in Laanecoorie), then Saturday 10th at 10.30am at the Wattle City Church in Maryborough (Argyle Road)

Card 1 uses Latte Love Bundle, I did eventually succumb to buying it🤣 figured at some point coffee/tea would come in handy.

Latte Love Bundle, Stampin' Up!
Then next up is the Citrus Blossoms bundle and matching , cool thing with the dies is they match the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Paper😃

Next onto a set that I really loved when I first saw the catalogue called You are Beautiful.  The sayings are lovely I'm planning at some point to mix and match some of the words in the sayings to create "You are Amazing"
You are Loved, Stampin' Up!
And another set I succumbed to is the Adventurous Sky bundle, although I haven't used the dies in this card, I totally recommend getting the bundle as you'd definitely use the dies too! and I figured the Sweetly Scripted saying went well with this card.  I also rather like the Adhesive Backed Textured Dots that I've added to the propeller middles
Adventurous Sky, Sweetly Scripted, Stampin' Up!

And that's it folks😊

Hopefully you can come and join in one of the classes, but if not, I hope this inspires you to create!

God Bless love

Something Saturday - Designer Paper Card

Hi there Creators

Today I wanted to create something that would show off both sides of the Designer Paper, I'd seen a design I liked, but of course in typical Heather style it didn't turn out the way I'd seen 🤣 Having said that I'm really happy with it, I've used the Mediterranean Blooms Paper, and YAY the Citrus Blooms dies actually cut out some of the paper (gotta love that!)

There is currently a special 10% off sale on the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines, and also an extra 10% off on some of the Stamp & Die bundles (so you'll get 20% off as they already have 10% off them - if that makes sense)

So here is the card closed

Mediterranean Blooms, Stampin' Up!
Then as you open it up, you get to see the next layer of designer paper, and the inside of the designer Paper that is the outside cover.

Just realised I forgot to take a photo of the inside/inside bit lol, but when you lift the flap you see the lemons on the underside of the navy paper (you can see the pattern that was folded over at the bottom.

So..... to create this card I took

  • the outside sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP for short) cut down to 6", then scored at 4" and 8", then the front 2 flaps cut on a diagonal to a matching point up on each side (my point was about 2" up)
  • A 3 7/8"  x 12" piece of DSP for the middle bit, folded in 1/2 at 6"
  • a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock to go inside the above piece (for writing on)

The inside DSP gets attached in the middle of the trifold DSP, then I folded up a section on the bottom to see the other side of the DSP (mine is about 1").

I also folded the outer flaps on the tri-fold DSP over to display both sides of the paper from the front

Then I decorated up with some pieces of the DSP cut out with the matching dies.

If you missed the video here it is:

I hope this inspires you to have a go too

Something Saturday - Diagonal Cut Card x 2

Hi there Creators,

I received a gorgeous card from Lee-Allan (one of my Stampin' Up! downline), and I loved the layout of it, so she gave me permission to "case" is Case stand for "Copy and Share Everything".

Before I get going, I forgot to mention in the video, there is an amazing joining special for the month of May, where you can get the usual $235 of goodies for $169, but ALSO you get the New In Colour: Ink Pads, Stampin' Write Markers, Designer Paper, and A4 papers I think it worked out to $124 of extra goodies for free!!  if you want to find out more let me know, or go here:  Join Heather's Team

Here is her card:  How gorgeous is this using the new Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper?

Stampin' Up!, Mediterranean Blooms DSP

Having inspected it thoroughly (as you do), I decided actually if I'm making one, then it really needs to be 2 (which is possibly what you're meant to do!)  read on for my measurements.......

Then I did a trial run myself with some old retired Designer Paper (never to soon to start making Christmas Cards 🤣) also managed to use up some of my scraps I had lying around the desk!

Stampin' Up! Diagonal Cut card
then I embarked on the video, and decided to use this gorgeous Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper  I did discover that it's best to cover up the join at the top and it doesn't look fabulous, having said that it doesn't take much to do so, and it does add a pretty "extra".

Righty ho - on to measurements:

Base Card is A5 scored at 10.5cm and folded in 1/2 (which has a front of 10.5cm x 14.8cm)

Then the mat on top is 5mm shorter so: 10cm x 14.3cm (but don't attach this till you've added the DSP Designer Series Paper)

You'll need a piece of A6 (14.8cm x 10.5cm) to initially attach the DSP to.

DSP is cut to 13.8cm x 9.5cm then you put both pieces together and cut as shown in the photo below (just bear in mind you need 2 contrasting pieces of DSP) again retired DSP

Once you've got it cut take 3 matching pieces of DSP and add them to the colour you've chosen to "mat" them with, then cut them down, so there is a border, as shown:

stick it all together (the pieces with borders go on top of the other piece, and up on dimensionals)

 Hopefully that makes sense!

If you missed the video, here it it😃

I hope this inspires you to have a go too!
