Thankyou for joining me today, I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, since 2008. My blog will show you how to make cards and projects using Stampin' Up!'s fabulous products. And occasionally random extra stuff (that's the way I roll 🤣) Please do sign up to receive my emails, so you get my latest info.
Wow the Product of the Month has arrived on my doorstep, and it's so stinkin' cute! Wild Bunch If you want it I'd recommend ordering sooner rather than later, as they are only while stocks last. You need to order $125 worth then pick it for $9 (Oh so worth it!)
Next week is my CreateAlong Video, if you've ordered a kit you can "CreateAlong" with me, if you haven't I hope you enjoy it anyway! 😃 (and don't forget to sign up for the next one in August!)
Anyway I decided I wanted to create one of those cards where they all look like they're sitting behind each other, which requires a bit of masking, then I decided to use Wink of stella to blend my watercolour pencils together (I always colour really roughly, knowing that I'll blend them with either the blender pens/water colour painters or wink of stella)
I've also used the Arches Dies for this card, as I felt like it needed something "framing" it.
Earlier in the day at Craft Alive I made up this card, the instructions for which will be coming out in my "Happy Sunday" email
Well today I thought I'd play around with the Scalloped Blooms Dies, I used to use this technique years ago when we had a heap of scallop circle punches, and it's really pretty, so, read on......
Oh and before I forget the Last Chance products list just got updated on 2nd, so check out the retiring (and discounted) goodies here: Last Chance List.
I've used: Scalloped Blooms Dies, Dreamy Flowers Embellishments, and the Natural Hues Cardstock in the card I show in the video, then the other card I created, a bit differently, but I still love the effect and I used the Pastels Shimmer Paper for that one. The Natural Hues Card is kind of like "raw card" it has the feel of leaf matter and bits in it, I remember when I was backpacking round Thailand and Malaysia seeing paper being made with leaves, and petals in it and it reminds me a little of that. (it fascinated me back then 26 years ago - clearly I am a true "paper lover" 🤣)
You've probably worked out by now, but all I've done is put little cuts in between the scallops on the first card, then cut down each scallop on the second card, both produce really pretty results. Have you tried this before?
If you missed the video here it is:
Hope you've enjoyed this, and it gives you inspiration as you craft.
Well, today I have this really cool fancy fold card to show you, courtesy of our Team Zoom the other night and my friend (and downline) Rose. We crafted along with her to create our own versions of the card she showed us.
Just quickly before I do, if you're considering joining Stampin' Up! there is a deal on for 2 more days (till end of 31st May) you pay $169 and get $235 of your choice of goodies, plus the 5 new In colours (worth $25 each pad) OR you pay $169 and get $300 of your choice of goodies!! either way it's a bargain, check it out here: Join Stampin' Up!
Oh and I keep forgetting to mention that I'm going to be holding a Crafting Retreat in April 2027, check out the details here: Crafting Retreat April 2027
As I prefer to use A4 when I make cards, I had a bit of a play around and changed it up, came up with this: using the fun Beach Boardwalk Designer Series paper
Then I moved onto making this one in the video, I used my favourite piece of DSP from Natures Walk Designer Series paper, then added the sayings on the white piece of Sunset Shimmer Vellum, and grabbed some of the sayings from A Family Celebration Stamp set, Oh and used some of the Sparkle Dot Essentials to cover over the glue dots that hold the vellum down (discovered the sparkle dots are on the retiring list and discounted - shame they are so pretty, but bonus if you like them and want to get some!) Just a heads up the Retiring/Last Chance list is being updated on 2nd June, so worth having a look - I'm sure some things will be gone in a flash!
And now the bit you've all been waiting for: the measurements.......
You'll need:
A base card measuring 29cm x 10.5cm, scored at 8.5cm, 10.5cm, 15.6cm & 20.5cm
12"x 10cm Designer Paper strip cut in sequence: 8cm/ 1.5cm/ 9cm/ 8cm cut the 9cm piece down to two lots of 4.5cm
Stick these all into the corresponding slots on your base card, make sure the 4.5cm strips are well stuck down all over, otherwise they will fall off when you do the next bit!
Next cut horizontal lines into the middle section that has the two 4.5cm pieces of DSP on it the lines need to be cut at 2.5cm, 4cm, 6.5cm and 8cm
fold it up and your base card is now complete, then you can decorate it
If this is as clear as mud, here's the video, which hopefully makes more sense!😃
Woo Hoo I'm going to be holding a crafting retreat in April 2027, here is the flyer about it:
Accommodation is provided (there is limited numbers of rooms/beds) some meals let me know asap if you want more info or want to book! It's going to be fun🤩🥳🎉🎈
Well this months Paper Pumpkin is Sooooo pretty! We also have a monthly team zoom/ we have a team retreat coming up in October and more.
Oh and if you haven't signed up for the Paper Pumpkin yet, as a demo you get 20% off it!😉
This is how the cards are meant to be made (with a small change to the light bulbs)
Then I moved on to "Ad-libbing" the only additive, other than base cards, I used was from last months paper pumpkin, I used the green Stampin' Spot for the trees just below
One of the cool things with Paper Pumpkin is that you can get refills for the kits, so if you love it you can get more, and if you haven't subscribed yet and you already own inks and stamps you can subscribe for next months kit and then the refills from past kits become available for you to purchase, which you can make up with your own stamps and inks😍
The first card uses the bit you punch out from the windows
I chose to cut the big fireworks in 1/2 for these next 2 cards
Then these last 2 cards - every time I looked at the lanterns I couldn't help thinking of little sitting stools🤣 so I added some grass/reeds (from last month's PP) if I'd had mini toadstool I reckon they could have looked really cute in amongst the stools!
Then the stamped fireworks kept making me think of palm trees....... And the sayings I've mixed around a bit, they are really easy to just ink up the first or last words.
And that's it! So if you missed the video, here it is:
I hope this inspires you to grab yourself a Paper Pumpkin subscription and try it out for yourself!
Well a little late for Mother's Day, but thought I'd show you what I created for my Mum (what do you send someone overseas who has everything they need?) A notebook and pen of course🤣 I do love to send a gift that someone will use up and then I can re-do it the next year (potentially!) One of my favourite gifts is a decorated notebook (maybe it's because I use so many myself with my morning bible study/time with God).
Anyway Temu (admittedly some time ago) had these notebooks and pens that I'd brought individually, and had no idea they actually matched each other - go me! 💖 but they were just individual with no pretty cover and I always figured I'd make covers for them....
Here's the one I made in the video: (by the time I took the photos I'd wrapped and enveloped Mum's one, so I don't have any photos of it 🤦♀️)
This is the inside of the holder, the strips of magnetic stuff seem to hold it closed ok, so that's good.
then I had a strip of the gorgeous DSP left over so figured I'd make a card to go with this one, so at least when I want to give it to someone, it'll be all ready to go! Oh and I'd received a card from someone else recently that inspired me to use the flowers in the Fern & Flora Bundle, I have to admit they are really pretty coloured in like this (I wasn't keen on having the white edges to them, so I've used the Ivory Stampin' Blend to roughly colour in the white edges and it takes the starkness away (which I was doubtful was a word, but spell check hasn't corrected me🤣) Oh and I've used an interesting technique to splash water on the cardstock then add heat embossing powder and heat emboss it. I think there's more of a technique to it than I displayed, but it might be worth a video in the future if I can work it out a little better!
Then I thought I'd show you the two together, isn't it pretty?!😍
Oh and I was supposed to tell you about the joining special! because I forgot in the video!
Hey do you fancy joining my team and getting a whole heap of Stampin' Up! perks?

Woo hoo! our next CreateAlong is happening on 20th June, this time we're using the Ultra stroke-able Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series paper, the matching Velveteen Assortment Specialty paper, Dreamy Flowers, and the Scalloped Window Boxes that also happen to go well with the Scalloped Blooms Bundle (dies & Stamps)
Click on the photo to see all the goodies I used to create these cards.
If you are planning to craft along and would like a kit, order it from me by 2nd June so I can have them all ready in time, get in touch with me for payment details.
One of the wonderful things about these CreateAlongs is the flexibility — you can choose when it suits you to complete your projects. Whether you prefer to spread them out over different days or craft straight away, you can enjoy creating at your own pace.
After the Video has gone live I will be selling the PDF over in my Tutorials.
My goodness the months go quickly don't they? I've just advertised my very first CreateAble Crafting Retreat in April 2027 (limited numbers due to accommodation restraints) if you're interested and didn't receive the email, let me know! (and make sure you sign up for my future emails!)
Oh also if you don't know already there is a joining special this month, which is pretty cool, you can either get the 5 new In colour ink pads for free or an extra $65 to spend on top of the usual join offer which is: pick out $235 of goodies and only pay $169 (the ink pad offer is the better one as they're worth $25 each!) Check it out here: Join Heather's Team
Anyway today I have next months regular card class cards to show you, These classes are on Friday 5th June at 1pm in my classroom (Laanecoorie) and Saturday 6th June in Maryborough at Wattle City Church.
Next Up I've used something from my Paper Pumpkin Subscription (Wonderful Scenes Dies), which actually seems to have sold out already! They are a special die set, includes the "wonderful", the fireworks, butterflies, flowers and frame. I've also used a stamp set (which is still available!) A Family Celebration, it's kind of cool that it gives a heap of family title names eg Mum, Dad, Better Half, - check it out with the link!
This next card is probably my favourite this month! In the class folks will pick which one they want to make, I just adore the little dogs and cats in this Cutest Crew Bundle, as I write it's currently out of stock, but should be back in again hopefully before the class! add a bit of colour and a saying cut out from the Forever Florals Dies plus one of the little furry's cut out with the dies and up on dimensionals, and voila.....
Yes, I know we're into May, but unfortunately the gorgeous Delicate Dreams Designer Series Papers were out of stock until recently, by which time people had already booked their kits to Create Along with me, so we delayed it until I could get everyone's kits out to them!
On that note, if you missed out on a kit, but would like the instructions, head on over to my new section on the right hand side called "Tutorial Library", and you can purchase the PDF that the participants received, so that way you know what is required and the measurements. Potentially you could make this up with different papers if you chose to do so! I used these main goodies Delicate Dreams DSP, Springtime Scenes Bundle, Misty Moonlight Checkered Trim, and the fabulous Textured Metallic Papers (which are on the retiring list)
We created 5 cards and a framed piece which includes creating the frame itself
Here are the projects:
In the video I mention that I have created an extra video to go with this to show you how to create a simple frame using the Stampin' Trimmer, so here it is:
And lastly the video for creating all the above cards and decor frame
I hope these inspire you to create, and if you do CreateAlong, let me know what you think!
I was going to put up the cards I made for my class at the end of May (needs to be booked by 4th May) but I decided they really needed their own post, which you can find here: May Scenic Coast Class. So I made an extra card instead😃
This Scenic Coast Designer Paper is so gorgeous that I could just keep creating with it!
However this is the card I create in the video, I really feel like this sort of "scenery" type paper warrants full use on a card!
Then I got carried away and made up another card, if you get my emails you'll get instructions for this one next Sunday (31st) If you don't get my emails make sure you sign up!!🤣
Well today I get to play around with some more new goodies (available on 5th May if you're not a "demonstrator") Tempted to join my team? you can get new goodies early, plus you get a discount on them (win, win!!) Check out this info Join my Team
I'm showing off a few of my new goodies, but the one I end up playing with in the video is Floral Spray 3D Embossing folder, its a big 6" x 8" folder and really gorgeous!
Here's what I end up creating with what I made during the video:
I did create 2 frames using the Golden Glow and Peaceful Pine Cardstocks then it's mounted onto a Crisp Cantaloupe A4 card, added a bit of Wink of Stella (which you can't really see in the photo!), and that's it!
I also had a play around with the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder, using the same technique to ink up the smooth side of the folder then run it through the Cut & Emboss Machine I ended up making another larger card than normal so I could show off most of this fabulous embossing folder, accompanied with a bit of Old Olive Specialty RickRack ribbon.
Then last but not least I made up the Eyelet Blooms Die Cut piece into a card, this big die is the Product of the Month for April, - you need to purchase $125+ then you can pick it for $9, It is really pretty, and I love that you get a whole card front from it! The Pearlized Faceted Circles work so well in the middle of the raised flowers
If you missed the video and want to check it out - here it is!😃
I decided this needed a post all of it's own as it is a separate class! This in either an In Person or you can order it by mail class, and you need to have ordered by 4th May as I'll be ordering when the catalogue goes live on 5th 😃 (I am praying that I can get all the "ingredients" without anything being on back-order!
Class Dates if you're keen on an In Person class are Tuesday 26th May in Maryborough (ask me for the address) at 3pm, then Saturday 30th at 2pm in my classroom here in Laanecoorie, the class cost is $43 and you'll create 7 cards (you'll get full instructions, all the pieces prepped for you, an extra set of the papers, and more) Make sure you have booked your place soon, as places are limited (obviously not limited for "at Home creating"!)
Anyway enough of the details and on to the cards...... there are 2 fancy fold cards in this class at the bottom😉 It's hard to show the shimmer on the paper in a photo, but Oh my goodness it's amazing!
If you choose to do this kit from home and you want to include the boats in card 4 and the sayings, you'll need to have in particular: the Scenic Coast Stamp set at $44 although to be honest I'd recommend the bundle (stamps & dies) at $98 or even the Suite at $160.50 - that includes the Stamps, dies, Designer Series Papers, shimmer papers and the gorgeous shimmer adhesive backed sequins - (plus postage) guess what I got? lol
There are a couple of extra cards I've made using this suite that will be shown in my Something Saturday Video next Saturday 2nd May, so keep your eyes peeled! And make sure you've signed up for my emails as I'll be sending out instructions for an extra card made with this suite.
If you can't make it to the class but would like the instructions I'm working on how to sell PDF's, so let me know if you're interested.
Today I'm showing off a couple of ways to use your Silicone Brayer, I'm using some of the goodies that are discounted and on the retiring list (check out the whole list here: Last Chance Products)
The first technique I showed off is the one we used on Friday & Saturday in my regular classes. this involves Inking the brayer on the corner of the ink pad, so you get triangular shapes on your brayer (and you don't run the brayer over the whole ink pad), gives a cool background effect, I then teamed it up with the gorgeous, sadly retiring Layers of Beauty (if you don't have this set you can get stamps - just discovered these have sold out😢, dies and masks, which are really beautiful and the Purple Shimmer Gems (and all reduced)! - different links for each product
The next technique involves inking the brayer up properly, but then only using partially on the background, then adding another colour and repeating it, again giving a great background effect, this one I paired up with the retiring Inspiring Imperfections Stamp set again there is also dies and an embossing folder Oh and the punch is retiring too: Labelled with Love punch and bling in the form of Faceted Gems trio pack (all discounted woo hoo!)
Next up I used a thin mask, cut from post-it notes with the retiring Joyful Squares Dies, the mask needs to be really thin (as in copy paper thin) for the brayer to work well with it. I've also used the With You in Mind Stamp set and the leaves come from Layers of Beauty Dies (see link above) and the Iridescent Foil Gems (again all discounted)
Then the last technique is brayering directly onto the inside of one side of an embossing folder, then either press it down, or run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, in the video I just add the Pumpkin pie, but then when I was making it up into a card I brayered granny apple green over top to create the 2 colours which I love the look of!, and I couldn't resist curling it round (like a turtles back!) I've used the Turtle textures embossing folder, the Turtle-y Awesome Stamp set and matching dies and even the Shades of Green Hexagon embellishments (all retiring- and discounted)!
I'm beginning to feel like ALL my goodies that are retiring are actually discounted too!, although I know a few things aren't discounted, there is sooooo much that is! don't forget to check out all the goodies here: Last Chance List.
If you missed the video here it is:
I hope these inspire you to dig out your brayer and get creating too!
My May "4 Cards Class" is happening on Friday 1st at 1pm (Laanecoorie) and Saturday 2nd 10.30am in Maryborough. And here are the cards we'll be creating:
The New Catalogue won't be quite released at this point, as it goes live on 5th, but I've sneaked in a couple of new goodies!
The first one uses the most new goodies, Scalloped Blooms Dies, (gee these dies are amazing the largest one is big enough to create a card with (as you can see!) then I've used a new stamp set: Sending Salutations, and also new Designer Paper: Artisian Sketched Garden, (which is a fabulous black and white set)
Next up is this one that inadvertently also uses the Scalloped Blooms dies, in the background as masks (oh and some of the new In colours 😉) Then the stamp set is Forever Florals. and a spot of new Peaceful Pine Ribbon.
This card does inadvertently use a new goodie in it, the White Gel Pen, which Stampin' Up! have tested to make sure it doesn't stop 1/2 way through a line (as a lot of gel pens tend to) , I've also used the gorgeous Sunflower 3D embossing folder and the Banner Sayings bundle (stamp set and punch)
And last but not least, I've used the Addressed to You stamp set , and the Fern & Flora Bundle (newbie) figured this card would work well for a blokey card!
And that's it folks, keep your eyes out for the extra In person or by mail class happening in May (just waiting on the goodies arriving so I can create it)
I hope you can make it to one of the classes (or let me know if you and a friend or two would like to do it but can't make it to one of the scheduled dates, and I can work in a time with you)
Today I thought I'd show off this months Paper Pumpkin Kit, it's pretty cool and does make some fabulous Blokey cards! If you didn't order it for yourself, hopefully you haven't lost the chance - if it hasn't sold out, you need to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, then you should be able to order past kits after 21st.
And of course if you're looking for a crafty gift for a friend it would make an amazing presy💖 What better than to have a surprise box of crafty goodness turn up on your doorstep monthly?
Anyway onto what I've created with mine, and I did use up the entire kit (very proud of myself!) The first 3 photos show the "official" card from the pack in the top left corner, then a couple of varieties, I pretty much used only kit ingredients to create them, except for a bit of ribbon on 2 of the cards and extra glues. As the cards are decorated front and back I cut mine in 1/2 so I could use both sides, and made the most of the scraps that were left after punching out all the elements. This box comes with a stamp set and mini ink pad, and if you stamp off on scrap paper you can get the lighter green effect (very handy for adding a bit more "texture" to a plain background)
Then I went completely off topic and made these ones with left over pieces 🤣 and made the most of the stamp set and ink pad.
In the video I mention that I'll show you the stamp set a bit better on my blog, so here it is......
