Something Saturday - Brightest Birthday Kit

  Hi there Creators Today we're checking out one of the new kits, I have to say WOW!, maybe it's the holographic blingy bits (ooooo bling....🤣)  if you're a regular reader of my blog or watch my YouTube or Facebook channels then you'll know I can't resist bling.  Anyway check out the kit here: Brightest Birthday Kit And here are the cards it makes.... oh and their matching (also blingy) envelopes. Then you'll notice on the first card with the balloons it has a box that has the holographic outline, which is actually a sticker, so in the video I show you how to get the sticker off and onto a separate piece of card without having to pick it off and re-piece it yourself. And this is the card I made with it:  I probably should have used the same Azure Afternoon colour, but I had this piece of Shy Shamrock hanging around my desk, so chose to use that instead, and seeing as the star stamp hadn't been used I figured I should put it into action.  Its not a bad littl...

Class cards for October

  Hi there Creators Class dates for October are:  Thursday 3rd in Laanecoorie at  7pm Saturday 5th in Maryborough at 10.30am , along with this session from 2-3pm is the Stampin' Up! World Card-Making Day Event, the church has said I can keep the hall for longer so we can watch (and join in) together.  If you plan to stay make sure you register with Stampin' Up! as there was mention of a gift after the event for everyone who registers!  Register here:  World Card-Making Day Event Tuesday 8th 1.30pm in Laanecoorie Make sure you let me know if you are planning to come! And here are the cards we'll be creating: First up 2 Christmas Cards, this one uses the Gold Mercury Vellum , which really pops well on the Cherry cobbler background, and I love this die cut from Peaceful Season Bundle (stamps & dies) Next up is the Peaceful Evergreens , how cool is the little bow? Cards for September Classes

 Hi there Creators It's that time of the month again where I share with you the cards I'll be teaching in my classes next month. If you're interested in coming along, make sure you book your spot: Tuesday 3rd at 1.30pm, Thursday 5th at 7pm (both in Laanecoorie) and Saturday 8th at 10.30am in Maryborough.  Cost of $24 for the 4 cards. Here is the line-up...... first up using the Simply Sparkling Bundle (although not specifically using the dies in this one)  it's a nice light and friendly birthday card.   Next up, Friends for Life Bundle is used for this pretty card, love how delicate the heart die cuts are. Ooo Card #3 uses new goodies! which ironically won't be available to purchase till 6th! (I'm not sure the links will work till then either) however it uses Peaceful Season Bundle (although again I'm not using the specific dies from it) and Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder , also a new ribbon: Shaded Spruce Satin & sheer ribbon , and the lovely Spot...

Something Saturday - Simply Sparkling

  Hi there Creators, Today I was playing around with this new set I received, and then couldn't resist sharing it with you too. Oh My Goodness, wow this "Simply Sparkling" is such a great bundle, I have a feeling I'll be using it a fair bit in the future! It's an "online exclusive", which simply means it's not in the catalogue, but it is in the "online catalogue" as it were. Anyway onto the creations..... This bubbles die is the main reason I was so attracted to this set, and these are the 2 mini cards I made in the video:  How cool is this die?! (so exciting) I have to admit the little half orange segment looked so much like a mini pizza when I first cut it out...... something to try....... I was trying to work out what the little heart shaped piece is meant to be, and have now worked out it's meant to be a peach - Ah ha light bulb moment! 🤣  (also works well as a heart!)  The dies are absolutely fabulous!
