February 2025 Class Cards

Image
Hi there Creators My goodness over 1/2 way through January!, so I figured seeing as I've made them I'd best share my class cards for Feb.  Classes are Friday 7th at 1pm in my classroom Laanecoorie and Saturday 8th at 10.30am at Wattle City Church Argyle Road, Maryborough.  Class cost is $24 for 4 cards I thought we'd better make the most of the Sale-a-Bration goodies, so this is Heart Shaped Bundle (stamps & dies) that you can get for free with an order of $200, it is a pretty bundle!  I've teamed it up with the new Antique Pearls this next one uses the rather cool Linked Together Decorative Masks and also the saying from With You in Mind (I rather like nice large sayings for cards and this one has a few! Moving onto a new punch: To the Point Label Punch and matching stamp set Bright Borders And last but not least one of the new Hybrid embossing folders (this means it has dies that go with the embossing folder): Beautiful Butterflies (never would have gu...

Something Saturday - Gatefold Bow Card

Image
Hi There Creators, If you've ever made a gatefold card, with a ribbon that attaches all the way round it to keep it shut, you'll know it gets to it's recipient who then can't redo a bow, and it never quite looks the same again 🤣 So I was contemplating this as I was playing around with a gatefold card the other day and thought why couldn't the tied bow just be a faux one? that doesn't actually keep the card closed, but looks good? Enter the "Gatefold Bow Card" (cos I didn't know what else to call it🤣)  There is probably not an easy way to be perfectly honest to make your bows look good, what it takes is practice and playing around with it once it is made (sometimes it takes a well placed mini glue dot 😉)  I used some of the Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Papers they come in 6x6" and designed to be suitable for all occasions. Ok, here are the cards I created in the end: for this one I also use the Peaceful Season Bundle , the Iridescent ...

Something Saturday - Simply Sparkling

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I was playing around with this new set I received, and then couldn't resist sharing it with you too. Oh My Goodness, wow this "Simply Sparkling" is such a great bundle, I have a feeling I'll be using it a fair bit in the future! It's an "online exclusive", which simply means it's not in the catalogue, but it is in the "online catalogue" as it were. Anyway onto the creations..... This bubbles die is the main reason I was so attracted to this set, and these are the 2 mini cards I made in the video:  How cool is this die?! (so exciting) I have to admit the little half orange segment looked so much like a mini pizza when I first cut it out...... something to try....... I was trying to work out what the little heart shaped piece is meant to be, and have now worked out it's meant to be a peach - Ah ha light bulb moment! 🤣  (also works well as a heart!)  The dies are absolutely fabulous! Anyway I also had to play wi...

Something Saturday - Slit Slider Card

Image
Hi there Creators Today I'm showing off a slider card, one of the presenters at the Stampin' Up! Onstage event we went to in Melbourne showed a similar card, so I thought I should have a go too 😍  I love the way it looks like the element is floating across the card. Anyway here are the finished cards I made up: I have used the Keeping Tabs bundle for the pull tab piece, and the Attention Shoppers Bundle for the cake, bottles & sayings, and also the Labelled with Love Punch  (little note, if you plan to come to my July Mega Class you'll receive the Attention Shoppers stamp set and Labelled with Love Punch as part of your kit)  Oooo so exciting! To create these cards you'll need: A Base Card (A5 folded in 1/2) which gives a front of 14.8cm x 10.5cm A piece of (in this case) white cardstock 5mm shorter = 14.3cm x 10cm A piece of Designer Paper 1/2cm smaller again = 13.8cm x 9.5cm A long straight strip of card in this case 13cm x 3cm And a smaller piece to attach t...
