Something Saturday - Cascading Pleated Fold Card

Image
Hi There Creators, I promised when I was showing off my swap cards from OnStage that I'd work out how to create a couple of cards I received. So, here we go, I have discovered they're called Cascading Pleated Fold Cards! (good start) Here are my 2 cards I made using this technique, I figured I could have a go at both landscape and portrait cards. 😍 The first one is made using the absolutely gorgeous Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper . It took a bit of cutting to get it right as I wanted each scene in front to echo the scene behind, but I think I got it! Then the card I made up in the video ended up like this, I've used the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (which is happily continuing onto the next catalogue!), and the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle (again continuing on)   Although Sam (Mr 13 year old) did ask what flavour ice-cream is that meant to be?  I said Chocolate & Boysenberry (Hummm, Ok Mum....) 🤣 Anyway on to the measurements.... I worked out that

Tag Card for March instructions

Image
Hi Creators, if you have ordered from me this month you'll receive a tag on your bag, I've included the extras to make this card, so thought I'd drop in quickly and explain how to pop it together! first up here is the tag, it's small but cute!  I've used the Tabs for Everything stamp set, which has this cool line stamp perfect size to cut out with the 1" circle punch , I've backed it with the 1 1/8" scallop circle punch , using the Champagne foil sheets , then it's hung using the rose metallic thread . So then onto the card itself!  take your piece of Designer Series 3x6" paper, and fold over around 1cm at one end of it, attach it down to your card (and attach the flap down)  then attach down the die cut Tropical Thinlit piece.  Then take your tag, add adhesive to the back of it and loop the thread around till your happy with the way it looks and attach this to your card too, Voila you're all done! I hope you enjoy making up your

Hi there Creators, Well almost at the end of March, and so here are the cards I'll be teaching in April.  The class dates are Wednesday 3rd 10.30am in Laanecoorie, Thursday 4th at 10.30am and 7.30pm in Laanecoorie, then Saturday 6th at 10am in Maryborough.  Do let me know if you plan to come to one of the classes (and haven't done so already). Best start showing you the cards!  This first one uses the stunning Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder , which is currently a Sale-a-Bration item till the end of March, so spend $90 and you can choose it for FREE! (you can't purchase this one at the moment).  I've also used the Label Me Pretty Stamp set with Matching Pretty Label Punch , and the lovely chunky ribbon is Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon .   Card #2, I thought we hadn't used the Stampin' Blends for a while (don't forget if you're using the Blends they are alcohol markers so you need to use memento ink for your ba

And now for something different!

Hi there Creators, I was playing around a bit with the pretty Sweet Pins & Tags , and discovered just how gorgeous they are!  Whilst doing so I thought of something someone was saying the other day, how they used to like receiving the kits to create cards that the ladies in my Craft@Home group receive, and I thought maybe I could start creating limited kits to purchase. With that in mind here is my very first March@Home Kit, it's limited to 7 kits in total (first in best dressed as they say), you'll receive these 3 cards to create, all the elements inc envelopes except, Stamps & Ink, scissors and adhesives, with instructions, the cost is $13 with $2 postage if I need to mail it to you. thought I'd show you a close up of the gorgeous tags: Do you see the shimmer round the edge of each? I've used the Butterfly Gala Stamp set for the sayings in mine, but you could substitute it with other sayings. Do let me know what you think, or if you'd lik

Eastern Medallion Box & Card

Hi There Creators, Turning my thoughts towards Picture to Page Show on the 16th & 17th March (oh my goodness this weekend!!), I thought I might make a 3D project (although it's not what I started making lol) So, I was playing around with the Eastern Medallion thinlits, specifically the little 6 petaled flower, and having tried to do something else I suddenly thought how nice it would look if it was done in a row with maybe DSP underneath.  Still might look nice done that way, just didn't turn out that way lol however it does look rather nice with Gold glimmer under it!  Anyway while I was making this card it occurred to me that a little box would look equally fabulous with these little flowers round the outside of it, drum roll........ And guess what? it does! although it's awfully hard to photograph, so I'll show you a couple of photos. once I'd made the cute little round box, then I felt it needed a little cone shaped lid, I'm so chuffed with i
