Thankyou for joining me today, I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, since 2008. My blog will show you how to make cards and projects using Stampin' Up!'s fabulous products. Yep it's that time of the month, Paper Pumpkin Time 💖🎉(pumpkin emoji's aren't that great) Click the link to find out all about paper pumpkin.
My Challenge to myself each time it comes is to create the actual cards, In this case 2, then with the rest of the kit see what else I can create, by not adding too many more products, in this particular instance I used Wink of Stella (gotta have extra bling), green ink pad initially I used Peaceful Pine then realised that actually Mossy Meadow is the right colour!, also blending brushes to go with the Early Espresso that comes with the kit and my green colour, plus some extra glues and thick white cardstock for card bases.
First up the "official" 2 cards (of which if you just make these up there's 5 of each)
I don't really like to overcomplicate the cards, so clockwise the first card just has the leaves stamped around the image, then coloured in with Wink of Stella. Second card, has the trees masked off first to add green to the frame, then the frame masked to add brown to the trees. One of the brown banners is halved, as is the circle, and wink of stella'd in various places. Next up (bottom right) I've taken one of the tree frames and cut the trees out, added them to the "middle" of the card then added the trees frame over top, and then the saying at the bottom. Last card in this photo, I've just cut the tree frame and added the trees individually over top, with the other 1/2 of the circle for the saying and the other 1/2 of the brown banner.
Next photo (again clockwise) like before I've masked the inside trees of the frame to create the green outside, and vice versa to add brown to the trees. Also I cut one of the main cards up so I could use the pine trees and yellow trees separately, so the yellow trees are up on dimensionals on this card (more obvious in the flesh as it were) next card, I cut one of the frames down to just the trees (kept the side piece, cut the ends on an angle, scrunched it up and brushed green onto it) the extra trees got stuck down to the base card, and the next frame added over top (on Foam Adhesive strips) then the green scrunched bit added over the right side of the frame, I've dipped the other side of the frame (trees side) into my ink pad just to even out the colour difference and added the saying over top of the trees. Bottom right I've turned over one of the trees frames, dragged the brown ink pad over it (that came with the kit) then stamped the saying on one of the pieces that get punched out, popped it back in place, and obviously stamped and "stella'd" the main card base. Last card I cut the card up and used the back of the card, with the ink pad pressed onto it multiple times for the "mat" then cut up the main image into sections, and fussy cut a couple of the leaves for the corners.
Then lastly the 4 somewhat more random cards🤣, The first one is made using the negative of the punched out circles, oh and I made up a bow using some of the cardstock that was between the punched out banners, hence the white and brown stripes. Next very random looking card uses the trees frame (before you use them on one of the other cards!) as a mask to create the background, I actually think it's kind of cool! (but maybe that's just me) also added Stella, although you can't really see it in the photo) Bottom right has green brushed onto the base card first, just in the middle so it shows nicely behind the pine trees. then uses the pine trees cut from one of the base cards, and layered up so they sit nicely, then a couple of strips of cardstock coloured with the brown ink and softened by curling it to create what looks like ribbon. And last but not least..... I've used the negative piece from the long saying tags as a mask to create the stripey background, then stamped the leaves, cut forks in the end of one of those long saying pieces, and an extra fork in the end of the brown banner, with the saying on top.
And that's it! Anyway onto what I created with this months one, officially it creates 9 cards, but of course I'm never content with only 9!🤣 My aim is to use up the kit as best I can, plus not add too much more, so in this case I've added a couple of extra colours (which if you've been getting PP since it came to Australia, you'll have both of these colours!) Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon. I've also used blending brushes (very handy!) a couple of different glues (tombow -Multipurpose liquid glue, and mini glue dots), and a couple of white base cards.

Then moving on to the variants, I only make 2 of these in the video (partly as I got carried away when I was playing with the kit and only had a bit left over to "video" with🤣)

Yep it's Paper Pumpkin time of the month! This Months kit is called "Hooray for Birthdays" And this month I decided rather than to show you how to create the cards in the pack, I'd make up a heap of alternatives and a couple more in my video.... So this is what July's kit actually makes, - 3 each of each of these gorgeous Easel cards (9 cards total)
Then I got to work on "alternatives" I actually love the challenge of using up the entire kit, which is what I succeeded in doing, and the only extras I used were 2 other ink pads (Garden Green and Hydrangea Hue), blending brushes, white cardstock and glues. The kit comes with a Timid Tiger mini Ink Pad, and I would have used Peaceful Pine for the green, but it's packed currently!, and the reason I would have used it is because it was in one of the other Paper Pumpkins)
Anyway onto more photos.... I made these up before the video. When you cut the cards in 1/2 you can use the back and front of the gorgeous cardstock and stick it onto a base card, and in order to give it a nice gap round, you end up cutting off strips which are handy to use on other cards.
Then I also made these 2 before the video, by cutting the hexagon shape in 1/2 and figured it would make a cute "pocket" and banner. I've added dotted lines along the top of the "pocket".
Lastly in the video I made up 2 of these (the oval shaped one, by using 2 ovals togethers to create a cute little card) and the green, orange and blue one, then ironically still had a heap of flowers and tags left over, so the one with all the blue flowers was created with the last of the pieces! Couldn't decide on a saying so left it blank.
Well I have to say this is a beautiful kit!

I think I may add a bit more bling to them all, maybe some Rhinestone Basic Jewels or maybe a spot of Wink of Stella.

This is how the cards are meant to be made (with a small change to the light bulbs)
Then I moved on to "Ad-libbing" the only additive, other than base cards, I used was from last months paper pumpkin, I used the green Stampin' Spot for the trees just below

The first card uses the bit you punch out from the windows
I chose to cut the big fireworks in 1/2 for these next 2 cards
Then these last 2 cards - every time I looked at the lanterns I couldn't help thinking of little sitting stools🤣 so I added some grass/reeds (from last month's PP) if I'd had mini toadstool I reckon they could have looked really cute in amongst the stools!
Then the stamped fireworks kept making me think of palm trees....... And the sayings I've mixed around a bit, they are really easy to just ink up the first or last words.

Anyway today I have next months regular card class cards to show you, These classes are on Friday 5th June at 1pm in my classroom (Laanecoorie) and Saturday 6th June in Maryborough at Wattle City Church.
Next Up I've used something from my Paper Pumpkin Subscription (Wonderful Scenes Dies), which actually seems to have sold out already! They are a special die set, includes the "wonderful", the fireworks, butterflies, flowers and frame. I've also used a stamp set (which is still available!) A Family Celebration, it's kind of cool that it gives a heap of family title names eg Mum, Dad, Better Half, - check it out with the link!
This next card is probably my favourite this month! In the class folks will pick which one they want to make, I just adore the little dogs and cats in this Cutest Crew Bundle, as I write it's currently out of stock, but should be back in again hopefully before the class! add a bit of colour and a saying cut out from the Forever Florals Dies plus one of the little furry's cut out with the dies and up on dimensionals, and voila.....
Today I thought I'd show off this months Paper Pumpkin Kit, it's pretty cool and does make some fabulous Blokey cards! Anyway onto what I've created with mine, and I did use up the entire kit (very proud of myself!) The first 3 photos show the "official" card from the pack in the top left corner, then a couple of varieties, I pretty much used only kit ingredients to create them, except for a bit of ribbon on 2 of the cards and extra glues. As the cards are decorated front and back I cut mine in 1/2 so I could use both sides, and made the most of the scraps that were left after punching out all the elements. This box comes with a stamp set and mini ink pad, and if you stamp off on scrap paper you can get the lighter green effect (very handy for adding a bit more "texture" to a plain background)
Then I went completely off topic and made these ones with left over pieces 🤣 and made the most of the stamp set and ink pad.

Oh wow have you seen this kit yet? Mine has finally arrived so I've done a video on how to put it together, the cards are so pretty! I think it would make an amazing gift for someone at only $37, you could either send it to them to create the cards, they only need a clear block for the stamp set included in the kit, or you could create the cards then send it on (if they're truly not into creating things)! I also think it would be fabulous for anyone short on space or going on holiday... anyway let's show you the cards.
