Something Saturday - Last Chance List plus a simple card

 Hi There Creators,

Today I went through some of my goodies that are on the Last Chance List (click the link to see the list).

There's a heap that have been reduced, and heads up, check the individual prices before ordering the bundle, it may work out cheaper!

So then I saw a card design on a FB reel and thought that is so cool (and simple) I couldn't resist having a go and passing my "newfound" knowledge on to you allπŸ˜ƒ (gotta love me🀣)

I'm pretty sure the lady showing it off called it a Split Scene card, and I confess I did use the same Designer papers as she did (although I did ring the changes with stamps and ephemera choices)

Here is the first card I made (all retiring goodies), I used the North Pole Delivery Designer Paper, and the Traditional Labels Stamp set how cute is the little dog that presses out from the Designer Paper?

Then in the video I made up this one, also using the North Pole Designer Paper, but this time incorporating the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Cards & Envelopes, and the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.  It's such a great way of using up really busy Designer Papers

All you need to create this is a base card, Designer Paper 3 - 4cm smaller than your base card, a mat around 1cm bigger than your designer Paper, and a piece of white (or plain) colour card, same length as your designer Paper, but shorter height, as you'll be cutting it in 1/2, so maybe 3cm shorter.

Then you cut a wavy pattern in the white and stick it all together, add some ephemera/ stamps/ sayings etc and voila!  If you plan to stamp, potentially you might want to do that before sticking it all down!

Anyway if you missed the video, here it is....

I hope you are inspired by my creations

CreateAlong December 2025

 Hi There Creators

Today is my Something Saturday CreateAlong πŸ˜ƒ

In case you didn't order the kit and you need the measurements they are below, and here are the mini cards and suitcase I created. (Make sure you're on my email list so you get details about the next CreateAlong)

CreateAlong, North Pole Delivery, Stampin' Up!

I'll be using one of the Suitcase Treat boxes which were on the clearance rack, and have now sold out, so if you do want one, let me know! I still have a couple spare.
If you have one already you'll be needing:

  • Plain coloured Cardstock (2 of) 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" Plus (2 of) 1" x 2 1/2", Plus (2 of) 1" x 2 3/4"
  • (DSP) Designer series Paper (2 of) 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" Plus (2 of) 3/4" x 3 1/4", Plus (2 of) 3/4" x 2 1/2" * I recommend having a DSP you can cut images out of to "embellish" with I've used North Pole Delivery (click on link to see it)
When you cut your DSP for this, I recommend cutting a strip of 3 1/4" then take pieces off it in this order:
2 1/2",  3/4",  2 1/2", 3/4".  then cut 2 more strips of 3/4" and trim these down to 2 1/2" length, this will ensure your pattern goes round the box.

For the Card bases you'll need 2 x A5 sheets of white or vanilla (depends on what suits your DSP, score them lengthways at 7.4cm, then cut into 7cm strips and fold in 1/2 at the score line, this will give you 6 mini cards.

For the Cards you'll need: (note some measurements are inches some are cm! πŸ˜ƒ)
If you missed the video here it is:

I hope that you did CreateAlong with me, if you did, please send me a photo of your creations I'd love to see them.

God Bless love

Today I decided to play around with the fabulous North Pole DeliverySpecialty Designer Series Papers, they are “Specialty” because 2 sheets are pop out images (so cool to add to a card or scrapbook!) and the Traditional Labels Bundle

I may have got carried away and created 4 (very easy) cards from this fabulous pack😍

This first card is the one I created in the video for this card I also brought out the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper (ooo if you love glimmer this is a "must have")

Then I moved onto this one, and cut the cars out, you can use the ones on the edge of the paper which is what I did with the green car, and just drew dotted lines onto the base card.  I also discovered that it doesn’t take much to separate the outer layer of the die cut tag from the inside, so that’s what I did to get the double line look

Next up I used some of the push out pieces over top of this piece, the Garden Green mat is 10cm x 14.3cm, then the Designer Paper is 5mm shorter again, so 9.5cm x 13.8cm

And lastly, I’ve used one of the cut off sections from my first card, and popped this other piece underneath, can’t actually remember the sizing on this one, and we’re currently away in the caravan in South Australia (sorry!)
