Something Saturday - Click Clack Concertina Card

Image
Hi there Creators Well I was sitting last night wondering what to do for my Something Saturday, and playing around with a bit of paper, ended up designing this card, I've made similar cards before like the cascade cards, this is probably a bit more basic, but I'm happy with it and it's way simpler to create, but still packs a cool Woah factor🤣  I've used Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper which is on the last chance list. I decided it needed a sentiment so picked out this one from Sweetest Star Stamp set (last chance list again), because it has 6 words (1 for each panel!😃) and these Adhesive backed Snowflake Assortment are also on the last chance list and happen to be reduced to 1/2 price (woo hoo!) Ok, onto measurements.... You'll need a sheet of A4 for the base card, score it at 9.9cm either end, then cut in 1/2 at 10.5cm, fold so each piece is concertina'd into 1/3rd's then each folded piece needs a cut that goes 1/2 way up the card (in the...

Christmas in July (next months classes)

Image
Hi Everyone, well finally, been meaning to do this for ages! we're going to do Christmas in July classes! This post is for my 4 Cards class, which will be on Saturday 14th July at 10am in Maryborough (school holidays hence pushed back a week)  Then Wednesday 18th July at 10.30am and 7.30pm in Laanecoorie in my classroom. Here are the cards in no particular order, all very traditional Green and Red colours! lets face it when you think of Christmas those are the immediate colours that come to mind!  Alright so this first card uses the new Christmas stamp set "Mistletoe Season", I love the way there is a gap in the mistletoe (or in my case holly - red berries) for the ribbon to sit in, and it is a 2 step stamp set, the greenery has 2 stamps, and the bow is made up of 2 stamps too. Quite like the fun writing font too!  How cute is the snowman with his little bunny peeping out behind?  This is the Seasonal Chums Stamp set, which has been around a while, but I'v...

Image
Hi Everyone, Sorry it's been a while since you heard from me!  But here I am again :) Wow it's nearly the end of the month, so for next month I thought we'd settle into Christmas with 3 of the cards for the month, and one bright summery one!  Classes for these cards next month (November) are on the 1st Bendigo, 4th Maryborough and 8th (eve) Laanecoorie  Let's start with the bright summery one, because I really love it! lol Oh my goodness, I can't believe I hadn't bought this Iridescent Sequin Assortment before! and for 1c per sequin wow what awesome value!, got to show you a close up of them..... I've also used a new stamp set to me: Hello Friend , along with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks . How gorgeous are they?!! I think I'm in love again! lol Ok ok, I'll move onto card #2 (we'll come back to that later.......lol) Right, the first of the Christmas cards! this one uses the Merry Little Labels Stamp set (comes as a bundle wi...

Cards for class in October

Image
Hi Everyone, As next month is not far off, thought I'd share with you the cards for these 3 classes - Sat 7th 10am in Maryborough:  Wednesday 11th - 10am Kangaroo Flat and 7.30pm Laanecoorie. As Christmas is not far away (gulp!) We have 2 Christmas projects. I'm starting with my favourite card for October!  This uses the gorgeous "Painted Harvest" flower as a wreath, and I just love it!  also uses the Hardwood Stamp in the background, and one of the sayings from Snowflake Sentiments . The other Christmas "project" as oppose to a card is this: I thought it would be a nice change to make up a little gift box, this stocking is a little pillow box, I have used the matching stamp set that comes in a bundle with the dies, called: Tags & Trimmings Bundle .  Card #3 been meaning to use this stamp set Floral Phrases again for a while now, and with the Designer Series Paper that looks so similar, I thought why not make my own Designer Series Paper with...

Ok, well, I may have delved into the new catalogue for a couple of our cards this month lol first up, one of my new favourite stamps: Painted Harvest: this is one of those 2 step stampin' sets where you stamp one image then the next one directly over top, for the flower and for the leaves (Oh it's so pretty!)  and, get this, there's a punch that goes with the leaves! (how exciting!!, it comes as a bundle too 😃) Card #2 New stuff again *Hooray!!* Thought we'd better have a Christmas card in the mix as it's leading up to Christmas (only 4 months!) t...
