Something Saturday - Hooray for Honeycomb Kit

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I thought we'd take a look at one of the new Kits that Stampin' Up! has brought out, it's really fun!, the name "honeycomb" kind of gives it away🤣 There are 9 cards to create, and it's a nice simple kit, would make an excellent gift for anyone who is thinking of starting off with card-making, there's no stamping involved - it's all "stick it together" and everything is included to do this.  At $32 it works out to $3.56 per card (which let's face it is pretty cheap for a card these days!) So here are the cards you can make (3 of each): Don't you just love the matching envelopes? The front of each card has clear embossed shiny bits on it (most obvious on the rainbow card at the top! with my photography) And there you have it, I haven't had the chance to play around and see what else I can create with this kit yet, so if you get it and do play around, let me know what you do! If you missed the video here it

Something Saturday - Mini Ink Pads & Alphabet dies

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I showed off a quick way to create 2 cards from one cut, nice and simple, but with a great look to them. Here are the cards:  The cool thing with this is you can gear it to the colours the person really likes. The idea is to have a piece of card that will give a nice gap all the way round once it's on your card, mine measures 9.5cm x 13.8cm (bearing in mind my base card is 10.5cm x 14.8cm).  You cut out the Happy (or other word) I've used the Alphabet a la Mode dies , leaving enough room to stamp a sentiment in too, (I've used Biggest Wish Stamp set ) use the cut out letters in the other card, and add colour to your base card so it peeps through. I've taken my mini ink pads and swiped them on their ends to get this scribbled effect, I guess you could use pencils or pens, but this was so quick and easy!  Mini ink pads - or Stampin' Spots as they're actually called are such fabulous pads to have, I've inked one up for each colour we h

CreateAbles Team Day May 2018

Hi There, We had our CreateAbles team day on Saturday, and had so much fun, I thought I'd share some photos with you all :) Our day started with "Yours Truly" giving a motivational talk for my team (which thankfully seemed to go down well!)  Then we moved onto Rosalie Fitzmaurice from RJ Papercrafts doing a demo for us on the new Make a Difference Alphabet set, which is a beautiful set, and she did a fabulous job demoing it to us. Next we moved onto our Make & Takes for the day, Jenny Stewart had made this beautiful creation for us (at least this was my interpretation of it, as we were allowed various stamp sets) gotta love this "Share What You Love Designer Series Paper", and the beautiful Pearlised Doilies! Next Up Renee Mallia from Crafty Nay's Cards shared this fabulous Creation using the Sea of Textures Stamp set and the Under the Sea framelits:  and this is the inside it's so cool! called an explosion card (kind of like a tar

Stamparatus video

Hi, Let me introduce you to the Stamparatus! I was privileged enough to be on the team that Stampin' Up! consulted with to develop this tool, so as a result I have been allowed one earlier than everyone else, so I thought I'd a do a quick video on how I've been using my new Stamparatus. (sorry about the view of the back of my head at one point - lol) It really is an AMAZING tool, I have shown some of the ways to use it here but there is more! for example the hinges are designed so you can move the plates down or to the side, and I have discovered that the Stampin Pierce Mat is exactly the right height to continue your stamping down or across your page!  If you'd like to check mine out, let me know, and we can schedule some time together or maybe book you in for a party and show you and your friends! These will be available in June when the new Annual Catalogue becomes available, so if you're checking out the MISTI, believe me this is soo
