Something Saturday - Louvre Windows Card

Image
Hi there Creators Today I thought I'd show you how to create this Louvre Windows card (little bit of trivia, did you know Louvres were invented back in the middle ages around 1500 years ago?, they were made of wood and put on pitched roofs to let out smoke, and increase circulation)😃 Anyway moving on.... I saw these kind of cards at the Picture to Page show, and of course the company selling them had dies to cut out all the components, but I figured I could make it work my own way. And so Voila: I made this card up before the video using the Celebratory Sips Designer paper (see all the links below) and here it is opened up (little difficult to photograph!) So this is the bit that's obscured above! Then in the video this is the card I made up, this time using the Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper (again links below) and the middle..... as you can see I used a bit more of the designer paper to cut out and add to the middle sections and again the obscured bit Links for products R...

Something Saturday - Filled with Happiness Ovals

Image
Hi There Creators Today I thought I'd show you a couple of tricks with the " Filled With Happiness " Stamp Set and Modern Oval Punch .  I'm also using the Water Painters ,and Wink of Stella , and as when you use watercolouring you need an ink that won't move with water, I'm also using Black Stazon for my stamping outlines. Here are the cards I have made up: I made this one up before the video, if you stamp on spare cardstock you can punch out the middle with the Modern Oval punch and layer it up onto your base card. Then I remembered to show how to get just the inside image onto a card (or envelope) and if you punch another oval shape with some of the sticky note paper, you can put that on a card, and just stamp the outside of the stamp. 😉 So then I went on to make this card: combining it with the cute Sale-a-Bration set "Cradled in Love" , which you can pick for free with a $90 order, Woo hoo!  it's only available till end of February as part...

Something Saturday - Thoughtful Moments Hybrid

Image
Hi There Creators Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas!  Happy New Year to you too. Today I thought we'd check out something that will be available to purchase on 4th January - 5 Days time EEK!  hopefully you all have your catalogues by now, if not let me know! What we're checking out today is the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid which is an embossing folder with dies, and it is SOOOO cool!, you can cut and emboss all at the same time.  There are 10 sayings/words, and I've been so enjoying playing with them. Here are the cards I made up after the video, I decided with these that less is more, so they make amazingly simple, but effective cards I think!  I've added a bit of Wink of Stella to some pieces just to add a bit of bling😍 My last card was inspired by some lined cards that a friend of mine gave me for Christmas, they were hand-painted by her daughter and she gave me a jar with it to write down what I'm thankful for, and pop them in the jar.  Here are so...
