Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

Tag Card for September

Image
Hi There! Thought I'd reveal the card that you will get the components to make when you place an order with me this month (and just explain briefly how to put it together!) Here is the card: (colours look much better in real life, despite several attempts at photographing it!) Notice the re-occurrence of the Botanical Tags Framelits? did I mention how much I love these dies lol! I've also used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for the wording. The tag itself is this bit, I'm showing here how to add the green colour behind the leaves, just trim the green till it fits, and stick it down! Add the tag ribbon to the back of the Highland Heather piece of card, I've added 2 lines of Snail Adhesive down the back of the sheet then laid out the ribbon on it, to attach it down, I've then gone with dimensionals to add this to my card, and attached the tag on top. Doesn't it look good with the green under the leaves? and that Berry Burst Metall...

What we did at Coffee&Cards Class

Image
Hi there, thought I'd share with you the creations we made at my Coffee&Cards Class in Dunolly on 23rd. I'm having a bit of a thing with small cards at the moment lol, so I thought what better than to showcase the Notecards and Envelopes that have been around for ages, also the Narrow Notecards and Envelopes (which are currently in the Occasions catalogue and will be moving into the new Annual Catalogue) and also the little 3x3 envelopes, which fit small cards, you can get 6 of them out of a piece of A4 cardstock. Anyway I'm pretty sure you didn't come here to hear me waffle on, so onto the cards! So this first one is the one using the Vanilla Notecards and envelopes, (at only 53c per notecard and envelope they're very economical, and very handy to not have to cut and score you're own!) we also used one of the gorgeous Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers , just cut in 1/2 and the ladies loved that they are really stickers so just peel off the backing!  You ...

Do let me know if you plan to come :) Ok first card off the rank!  I've decided to use a doily (trust me this is really rare lol)  and also the ultra cool Brusho powders (so much fun)  I made up 2 just to make sure I could do it (and because it was fun, and it shows other colours......)  Also used the Perennial Birthday stamp set .
