Something Saturday - A Little Latte

 Hi there Creators,

Well today I thought I'd play with one of my lastest goodies, A Little Latte Designer Series Paper, although I'm starting to think that maybe I should have ordered the Stamp set & Dies too: Latte Love Bundle.  They are all "Online Exclusive goodies", which really only means they're not in a catalogue - but you can see them online (and you can click the links above to view them)

Anyway here is the card I made up in the video:

Stampin' Up! A Little Latte, Trucking Along

I borrowed the saying from Trucking Along (which is another one of the Online Exclusives goodies), and felt a need to add some bling, (another online exclusive)  Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins - oh these are really nice!  I do love a good sequin without a hole in the middle🤣

Then I made up this card below too the backing papers are just gorgeous!, saying is also from the Trucking Along stamp set, the green piece running through the middle is actually the reverse side of the coffee splatter top piece.😊

If you missed the video, here it is......

I hope this inspires you to play with your designer Papers too

Something Saturday - Stampin' Block Watercolouring

 Hi there Creators

Today I thought after last week (and the promise in my blog I'd show you how to create the background to the card) that I'd better show you how I created the background to the butterfly card with the bluey/green background.

So here goes.... this is the card all finished that I started in the video, figured as I'm on a roll with baby cards for church I'd go for another one 🤣  I've used the Cheerful Daisies Stamp set for the background of the base card and the 3 little flowers in the corner, The colours I used for the watercolouring are Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape, Oh and Charming Sentiments Stamp set for the sayings

Stampin' Block watercolouring, Stampin' Up!
Then I also went on to make this card, which uses Azure Afternoon and Sweet Sorbet for the watercolouring bit, then words from Filled with Happiness stamp set, Trucking Along Stamp set and Circle sayings stamps for the flowers.
Stampin' Block watercolouring, Stampin' Up!
So to create this effect all you do is take an E Block, then ink up 1/2 with one colour, the other 1/2 with a different colour, then spritz it with water till the colours run in together.  Then press your cardstock onto it, and allow to soak for a few seconds, lift off carefully and either allow it to dry naturally or force the issue with a heat tool😁

If you missed the video, here it is......

I hope this inspires you to have a go too.

Come and join me again next Saturday. God Bless love

Class Cards for October

Hi there Creators,

Exciting to be able to use some of the new Mini Catalogue products in our class cards for October!

There is a change with my Maryborough class to be aware of, and that is that we're moving!  So we'll actually be meeting up at the Wattle City Church, they have a nice little meeting room at the back which I think will be perfect for us.  I'll be sending out an email with the address, if you don't get my emails let me know!

The dates for classes are: Wednesday 4th at 10.30am in Laanecoorie (my classroom) Thursday 5th 7pm (my classroom again)  and Saturday 7th at 10.30am in our new location.  Class cost is $24 for 4 cards.  Don't forget to book your spot!

Here are the cards we'll be creating:

This first one uses the Online exclusive Trucking Along, which is a punch and stamp set, sadly the stamp isn't from the same set, it's from Artistically Inked but I wanted a basic Happy Birthday rather than a fancy one!🤣 The die set Around the Bend is a really one!

Then how about these amazing Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks?  This is so cool!

I did get asked if we were going to be making Christmas cards at the next class, and most definitely!!........

This one uses the Stars at Night embossing folder (it's a duo deal with the matching dies)  I just knew I had to get this set, I've borrowed a stamp from the Night Divine Stamp set.  Oh my goodness the ribbon is just Wow!  it's called Night of Navy and Gold Glittered ribbon.

Then the last 2 are a "pick one" depending on which colour scheme you prefer.  Again it uses a stamp from Night Divine stamp set the first one uses the Artistic Mix decorative Masks, and the purple one uses the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks

I hope you can make it to class, if not, I hope these inspire you to create in your space 😊

Something Saturday - Magic Slider Card

 Hi There Creators,

Today I'm showing how I make a magic slider card, here is the original one I made up using the Bright & Beautiful Suite:

with the stamps I've used my Brights Stampin' Write Markers to create the rainbow effect by colouring directly onto the stamps, then you huff on the stamp to put moisture back onto it, then stamp it.

Beautiful Balloons, Magic Slider card, Stampin' Up!

Then this is the one I made up in the video using the Online Exclusive Trucking Along Bundle, so cool, it's a punch and stamp set.

I've used the Gold Celebrations Specialty Designer Series "paper" I'd call it acetate!  as I thought it was kind of fun having the printed acetate instead of plain, and there's a bonus that one side is gold and the other is silver 😊  I've also stamped directly onto the Herringbone Ribbon, I love that you can do that with this ribbon as it's quite smooth, and wide.

I promised the measurements on here, so here goes, you'll need:

  • A 1/2 piece of A4 (cut lengthways), so it'll measure 29.7cm x 10.5cm,  this is then scored into 3 equal pieces, at 9.9cm (I just score at that both ends)
  • A piece of cardstock measuring 9.7cm x 12cm
  • A piece of window sheeting (acetate), I used patterned also measuring 9.7cm x 12cm
  • I've also used Brights Designer Series Paper, you'll need 3 pieces to cover the edges of the card, I've gone with 1.4cm x 10.5cm and scored down the length at 7mm

The other things you'll need are a punch or die to create the aperture in the front of the card, a stamp set which will work with your card, as you can see I've chosen with the first card, to create the interest in the die cut balloons when the card is "closed", and only stamped the saying onto the acetate (you'll want to use stazon ink for this, unless you plan to heat emboss).  Or you can pick a stamp set which can be coloured in, so the top image (on the acetate) you leave plain, then colour the image underneath, so the design pops when you pull the tab upwards, both ways create a great magical effect.

If you missed the video here it is:

I hope this inspires you to have a go too.
