Something Saturday - Let's Go Alphabet

 Hi There Creators,

Today we're checking out both of the Alphabet Die sets that Stampin' Up! have on offer at the mo.

Alphabet A La Mode Dies, and Mini Alphabet Dies, both sets really handy, and if you're a scrapbooker, I'd say they're essential!

Anyway, here are the cards I created this time:

The first card, kind of uses the off-cut piece, and I suggested in the video you could do an anagram of someone's name using it, this one is just a FOR U card 😊 with a few other off cuts I happened to have lying around on my desk.

Stampin' Up! Mini Alphabet Dies

Then this is the card I made up in the video, I had previously cut the black glimmer paper (quite a long time ago) intending to make up a card like this, which clearly hadn't been used 🀣 can't rush these things!

So, as Sam's birthday is looming at the end of Feb, and he'll be 13 I thought I could make it up for him, his fav colour is "cyan" as he likes to call it (I'd call it turquoise or blue) I've used Tahitian Tide.  No idea what he'll be getting for his birthday yet...... (hopefully he likes his custom made card)

I also used them in the scrapbook that I've been making (if you're a regular here, you might remember I was doing some last week):

(making it $286 you can pick and only pay $169!! bargain!)  click the links to find out more info.

I hope this inspires you to have a go too!

Cards for May classes

 Hi there Creators

It's that time again, where I show off next months class cards.  The class dates are Wednesday 3rd May 10.30am in Laanecoorie, Thursday 4th at 7pm in Laanecoorie, then Saturday 6th at 10.30am in Maryborough.  New Catalogues should be with everyone by now, if you don't have one and want one, get in touch! Just a heads up that this month will still be $20 for the 4 cards, however due to rising costs I do need to increase my prices, and I'll be increasing by $1 per card - so $24 for the 4 cards.

 Here goes.....

First up I've used the new Zoo Crew (that will be available from 2nd May) to create this cute card

Stampin' Up! Zoo Crew
Then after showing a friend how to use these Give it a Whirl Dies the other day I figured we should do this in class too (they're so much fun!)  I've teamed it up with Alphabest and Waves of Inspiration so the wheel says U R Totally Awesome, as it goes round
Stampin' Up!, Give it a Whirl, Waves of Inspiration

Back to new stuff again, and this time the gorgeous Cheerful Daisies Stamp set (it also comes bundled with dies at a 10% off total) - definitely worth it! and again not available till 2nd May (not long now) - are you noticing any new colours in these cards?

Stampin' Up!, Cheerful Daisies
And the last card uses the lovely big wordings from Good Feelings stamps, and I've cut a mask using the Elegant Border Dies (again a new colour πŸ˜‰)

Which card is your favourite?  I hope you can join me for one of my fun classes, if not I hope these cards inspire you to create too.

Something Saturday - Using up Kit Scraps

 Hi there Creators

today I turn to scrap booking (very rare for me!), but I had some scrap pieces left over from last weeks kit after I'd pushed out the pieces I was using, and for some reason I felt they needed photos in the middle of them - or it could have been that I was going through a draw and discovered photos (from 8 years ago)  that I'd done nothing with🀣

One way or another I ended up doing a video to give you ideas as to how you could use them.😊  However as I didn't finish off the pages in the video, here they are for you to check out.....

In the video I create this blue piece with the 2 photos and white piece to write on

Stampin' Up!

Then this section with the heart and the 2 photos beside it was the other one I showed off in the video

I've also used the Fabulous Frames Dies on the bottom photos

This next middle section was a piece from the kit that I thought the small photos of the boys on the toboggans would look good in I used one of the Heart punches for the middle top photo and used the Alphabest bundle for the lettering.  Oh and as it was snow I couldn't resist using a wide strip of the beautiful Snowflake Specialty Vellum
Stampin' Up!

Again the Fabulous frames dies came into play with this next page, I've always thought the corners would look good on a scrap page.

And the last page is my usual scrap book style of shove as many photos as I can onto a page (I like the collage look!) but as I also wanted to show off a bit of the paper underneath I chose to write on a piece of vellum
Stampin' Up!

Now I just have to find a scrap book album to put them in - as I do this so rarely I have managed to lose it, and apparently Stampin' Up! no longer sell 12 x 12 scrapbooking albums or page protectors - just one of those things you never look for until you need it (oops!)  Maybe I should have stuck to the 8x6" album size that we do have!  Little late now.....

Anyway in case you missed the video, here it is....

I hope you've found this useful and it inspires you to do something with your left over scraps

Something Saturday - Give it a Whirl Dies

 Hi There Creators

My video this week is on how to use the Give it a Whirl Dies (kind of wishing I'd got them sooner!)  Anyway I show off how I use them, and showed these first 2 cards that I'd created, since then I've made up the next 2, so it shows off all the 4 windows/apertures in the die set.

This first card uses the Trees for Sale Stamp set

This second card uses the fabulous Alphabest bundle (stamps and punch)  I couldn't fit all the letters in a row, but I think it works ok lol.

Then these last 2 are the ones I hadn't made up in the video, I went with Love, Joy and Peace in the rectangular peep hole, and embossed the front with the Whimsical Woodland 3D folder

Thought I'd better show you what I used to sandwich the 2 parts together, so the spinner piece will spin! these Foam Adhesive strips are so useful.

And I got the clouds in - Yay! lol this card I just added the designer paper to the whole wheel so as it moves round it's constant flowers, such pretty designer paper: "Hues of Happiness"  I really felt a need to do a "pretty" card and I love the way the clouds have come out using the Highland Heather and Mint Macaron.

If you missed the video, here it is......

I hope this inspires you to create!

Something Saturday - Alphabest Bundle

 Hi there Creators

Today I am showing off the Alphabest Bundle, which has a cute little punch "Best Label" punch and a matching alphabet stamp set.

I mention in the video that I saw the punch in the catalogue and for some reason my mind automatically thought it was double the size, until it arrived 🀣 At that point I decided on getting the alphabest stamp set to go with it, and I'm so glad I did, it's a great size for an alphabet, and I love being able to punch out all the letters.

Anyway on to what I've created with it......  This is the first card I made before the video, although I have now finished it off with some extra tassels on the side, made by taking a couple of lengths of twine tying a knot in the middle of it and sticking it down.  I love the stamp that gives the lines behind the letters in the "hello".

Alphabest bundle, Stampin' Up!

I worked out that if I added all the letters to one block that only had to be stamped once, then the ones that needed 2x stamping to a different block and there was only one that needed 3x, so that was on a different block (definite advantage to punching each letter out!πŸ˜‰)

Then this is the card I made in the video, I've added again extra tassels and the pretty little flowers stamp at the top Click here to see the products I used: What Heather Used

If you missed the video and would like to check it out, here it is...

Gee I can see myself using this stamp set and punch a fair bit!

I hope this inspires you to create
