Something Saturday - Click Clack Concertina Card

Image
Hi there Creators Well I was sitting last night wondering what to do for my Something Saturday, and playing around with a bit of paper, ended up designing this card, I've made similar cards before like the cascade cards, this is probably a bit more basic, but I'm happy with it and it's way simpler to create, but still packs a cool Woah factor🤣  I've used Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper which is on the last chance list. I decided it needed a sentiment so picked out this one from Sweetest Star Stamp set (last chance list again), because it has 6 words (1 for each panel!😃) and these Adhesive backed Snowflake Assortment are also on the last chance list and happen to be reduced to 1/2 price (woo hoo!) Ok, onto measurements.... You'll need a sheet of A4 for the base card, score it at 9.9cm either end, then cut in 1/2 at 10.5cm, fold so each piece is concertina'd into 1/3rd's then each folded piece needs a cut that goes 1/2 way up the card (in the...

Image
Hi there Creators Gee Whizz haven't the months flown by!  Not long till Christmas again (I love making Christmas Cards!) Anyway Novembers cards are sparkly and 2 of them Christmassy 😃 I'll start with them.....   See the links below each card for the individual products (codes and prices) I've used for each card and at the bottom I'll pop the times/day of classes:   I do love this angel from Angels of Peace Stamp Set, she feels really serene to me, I've paired her up with the lovely leaves die from Artistic Dies, and some of the stunning Expressions in Ink specialty Paper.  Not forgetting a bit of Wink of Stella for glittery wings😉   Check out this link to see what I used for this card: Peaceful Pieced Angel   This other Christmas Card Ive finally got around to using a couple of things I haven't used much, the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder and the Stars are Shining bundle, I've heat embossed round the edge and combined my gold and s...

Something Saturday - How to add veins of gold leaf to your stamped images

Image
Hi there My Something Saturday this week is about how to add veins of the gorgeous Gold Gilded Leafing to your stamped work, I've used the beautiful Artistically Inked Stamp set, I think this is just soooooo gorgeous! (check the bottom for the link  to the products I've used) Here are my cards I created: this is the card I create in the video:  Isn't it gorgeous?  It's so easy, this stamp set Artistically Inked, is so forgiving to use, pick a few coordinating colours and stamp, you can stamp quite randomly, I like to try and cluster them together. then just use the fine end of the tombow (Multipurpose Liquid glue) to draw on glue where you want the gilded leafing to go, allow the glue to dry a little before dusting over with the Gilded leafing, and brush off the excess, I like to use a fairly firm sponge for this.  And voila gold veined stamped images, wooooooh 😍 And one last image for you.. (got a bit carried away!)  Link to the YouTube Video Click on th...

Gilded Leafing and ways to stick it!

Image
Hi there Creators I showed this on my facebook page the other day, but I know not everyone is a fan of FB so I'm sharing it here for you too 😊 I've now uploaded the video to YouTube, which I'll include in this blog post, however a quick run down of what's in it..... So when you first get your Gilded Leafing , you'll need a bigger pot to put it into and a sponge or brush to help wipe off the excess.  HOWEVER.... it is soooo worth it! you can purchase Heat & Stick Powder which means you can turn your stamps into gilded images like this: you can pretty much use any glue to apply the gilded leafing, the next example I have is using the Tear & Tape Adhesive (ultra easy!) After that I've used the Adhesive sheeting : attached it to cardstock, then layered on my Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper , then dunked into the gilded leafing I did use the Stampin' Seal and glue dots , which look great for a small embellishment!,  but haven't got round to ...
