Something Saturday - Click Clack Concertina Card

Image
Hi there Creators Well I was sitting last night wondering what to do for my Something Saturday, and playing around with a bit of paper, ended up designing this card, I've made similar cards before like the cascade cards, this is probably a bit more basic, but I'm happy with it and it's way simpler to create, but still packs a cool Woah factor🤣  I've used Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper which is on the last chance list. I decided it needed a sentiment so picked out this one from Sweetest Star Stamp set (last chance list again), because it has 6 words (1 for each panel!😃) and these Adhesive backed Snowflake Assortment are also on the last chance list and happen to be reduced to 1/2 price (woo hoo!) Ok, onto measurements.... You'll need a sheet of A4 for the base card, score it at 9.9cm either end, then cut in 1/2 at 10.5cm, fold so each piece is concertina'd into 1/3rd's then each folded piece needs a cut that goes 1/2 way up the card (in the...

December Class Cards

Image
Hi there Creators Wowsers December already, and Christmas is just round the corner! I made up 4 cards then decided I wasn't happy with one of them, so switched it out for a card that is literally the star of the show!  As it does require a fair bit of cutting on my behalf I really need to know who's coming a few days in advance so I can have the right amount of kits made. Class Dates are Tuesday 3rd Dec in my classroom in Laanecoorie and Saturday 14th Dec at Wattle City Church Maryborough - yes there is a big gap between the 2 due to the Carol Service rehearsal on 7th Dec that I'm in  (so exciting)!  As usual we'll be making 4 cards for a cost of $24. And on to the projects..... Let's start with the "star of the show", A 6 pointed Star Card, using the gorgeous Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Sweetest Star Punch . (photos of front & back) Moving away from elegance to cute, and this uses the Reindeer Days Designer Series pa...

Cards for May classes

Image
Hi there Creators It's that time again, where I show off next months class cards.  The class dates are Wednesday 3rd May 10.30am in Laanecoorie, Thursday 4th at 7pm in Laanecoorie, then Saturday 6th at 10.30am in Maryborough.  New Catalogues should be with everyone by now, if you don't have one and want one, get in touch! Just a heads up that this month will still be $20 for the 4 cards, however due to rising costs I do need to increase my prices, and I'll be increasing by $1 per card - so $24 for the 4 cards.  Here goes..... First up I've used the new Zoo Crew (that will be available from 2nd May) to create this cute card Then after showing a friend how to use these Give it a Whirl Dies the other day I figured we should do this in class too (they're so much fun!)  I've teamed it up with Alphabest and Waves of Inspiration so the wheel says U R Totally Awesome, as it goes round Back to new stuff again, and this time the gorgeous Cheerful Daisies Stamp set (it...

Something Saturday - Elegant Border Dies

Image
Hi There Creators, Today we're checking out these absolutely gorgeous Elegant Border Dies, they are an "OnLine Exclusive" thing, so you can't find them in the catalogue, however there is hope!  check out this link:  Elegant Border Dies .  As soon as I saw them I knew they were keepers!  not in the least bit masculine 🤣 Anyway in the video I simply show them and cut them out, unless you stayed right till the end in which case you'll have seen the cards I'm showing off here: The blue card uses Starry Sky and Bermuda Bay inks rubbed onto the card using the blending brushes, and silver heat embossing for the saying. I wanted this card to Pop, so I chose the Parakeet Party as the base, and the Fine Shimmer Paper is just stunning for the butterflies.  I also mention in the video that I have mixed up gold & silver embossing powder to do the saying, as it kind of ends up a champagne sort of colour which went better than the gold or silver on their own would ...
