oops just realised Card class is on this Friday & Saturday (if you get my emails you'll already know this) but I hadn't done a Blog post to go with it! The last Chance list was updated yesterday and seems to have a few of the goodies I'm using, so get over there and check it out there's some bargains to be had! (click this link:) Heather's Stampin' Up! Shop
Ok, we'll make this quick🤣 Classes are Friday 5th at 1pm Laanecoorie, and Saturday 6th at 10.30am Maryborough.
Cards/projects we'll be making are:
This one uses Shepherds Care Stamp set( on the last chance list), and the ultra useful Everyday Arches Dies
Next is this one, which you may recognise the inside of, if you've watched my videos (especially the one on 1st November) It uses the Gingerbread Man stamps & dies (which are on the last chance list)
Then we have this one which isn't a card, it's a gift card holder, I've used the Encircled with Love stamp set and Season of Elegance Designer Paper
and last but not least one of these 2 cards that uses the Merry Christmas Stamp (also on last chance) and Cheers & Sips bundle (which oh my goodness I 've just discovered is also on the last chance list! yikes!) and incidentally if you're quick you can pick up the dies and stamp set individually cheaper than the bundle price!
Well I am using the same gorgeous Stamp set as last week, and I really wanted to see how it would look if it was built up, the idea with Paper Tole is you stamp the same image multiple times and layer it so the layers that would look like they are on the top are actually the ones that get layered up. It can also be called "Piecing" but generally those layers are kept flat.
But just before we get into it, have you ever thought it would be amazing to get a heap of Stampin' Up! goodies at bargain prices? Now's your chance till end of October! Join my team using one of these links, and get an ongoing 20% discount (and the 10% rewards for orders over $35) How can you lose?! Ask me about it😊(should be a link on the photos, but just in case: Join the CreateAbles Team)
Check out all the goodies I used for this card here: What Heather Used. And bear in mind that this set will only last till Christmas, as it is red rubber, and all the red rubber sets are gradually being depleted and deleted, the next annual catalogue will be Photopolymer only.
I'm really happy with the way it turned out, although if I repeated it I might even up the Shepherds "dress" on dimensionals first, then pop everything else up a second layer higher. love the way the little lambs look with using the basic beige colour for them, although on reflection it might have been worth adding a shadow of colour under them both to make them stand out more (always think of these things in retrospect 🤣)
Just a close up so you can see the detail a bit better......
But just before I share, OH MY GOODNESS! there is an absolutely amazing joining deal for this month, I have seriously never seen one this good, there's 2 options:
1: pay $60 and pick out $235 of goodies
2: pay $169 (the usual joining fee amount) and pick out $344 of goodies (usually it's $235 of goodies!)
Plus once you join then you get an ongoing 20% initially discount (rising after a certain point to 25% PLUS you also qualify for the 10% rewards for orders over $35!) Feel free to ask me for more details or go here: Join my Team the CreateAbles
Here is the card I created in the video: and if you're interested in any of the goodies I've used, check them out here: What Heather used
Thought you might like to see the embossing detail and bling a little closer..........
Then I couldn't resist the other idea floating around in my head
and this is how I created it, stamped saying first, then added a bit of paper over top then did the masking, so the pattern goes on both sides of the saying
don't have a photo of the masking, but if you watch the video you'll know how I do the masking!
