Something Saturday - Hooray for Honeycomb Kit

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I thought we'd take a look at one of the new Kits that Stampin' Up! has brought out, it's really fun!, the name "honeycomb" kind of gives it away🤣 There are 9 cards to create, and it's a nice simple kit, would make an excellent gift for anyone who is thinking of starting off with card-making, there's no stamping involved - it's all "stick it together" and everything is included to do this.  At $32 it works out to $3.56 per card (which let's face it is pretty cheap for a card these days!) So here are the cards you can make (3 of each): Don't you just love the matching envelopes? The front of each card has clear embossed shiny bits on it (most obvious on the rainbow card at the top! with my photography) And there you have it, I haven't had the chance to play around and see what else I can create with this kit yet, so if you get it and do play around, let me know what you do! If you missed the video here it

Cards for June

Image
Hi there! Wow yes, I know, I'm ultra organised for June!! And who would have guessed that I'd be using new stuff?  I really don't know which one to start with, can't pick a favourite this month, so let me know which is yours! Sooo, first off we have this Abstract Impressions Stamp set to create this card, I love poppies, so when I saw this stamp set, I just had to create some poppies with it. Card #2 uses the dies that bundle together with the above stamp set! Springtime Impressions Thinlit dies, there is another die in the bundle, a lovely butterfly, but how pretty is this large die cut?  and I think the sentiment will be one I use a lot!  This card just uses the new 2018-2020 In colours, they are so lovely and vibrant! Card #3, Oh my goodness the embossing die is sooooo pretty!  This is from Garden Scene framelits, with the matching Serene Garden Stamp set (that the bird is from) and I've used the Ribbon of Courage Stamp set for the saying and small hea

Made it Monday on Tuesday!

Image
Hi there Over on the Eureka Stampers Facebook Page, which I'm part of we have something called "Made it Monday".  However as yesterday was a public holiday, the kids were home, and I was unpacking the car back into my craft room/class room, so nothing was made :( So today in my list of things to do were to organise my "tag card" and the card that my Craft@Home ladies will be receiving to create, I thought I'd share them with you today. The Tag Card for those of you who don't know, is a way of making the tag that comes on your bag (when your purchase from me), into a card, so here it is: it uses the gorgeous Eastern Medallions Thinlits to create the beautiful cut out in the card, then the tag itself uses the Ribbon of Courage Stamp set, and Support Ribbon Framelits, along with the Tailored Tag Punch , and the Sale-a-Bration Shimmer ribbon pack (the ribbon may vary from card to card) You can choose to have these ribbons for free when you place

What has Heather been playing with?

Hi Everyone, I thought I'd show you what I've been playing with today. One of my "jobs" for today was to create a card that is quick & easy to duplicate to go in some special boxes.  The guys and girls at Biker Charity Support Group (BCSG) of which Tom and I are members, decided to fund raise to purchase a "Cuddle Cot" for one of the local hospitals, we managed to raise the $5300 for the cot itself and also raised enough for 6 memory boxes on top.  I thought it would be an idea to add some cards into the memory boxes, as I remember one of my friends when she lost her son, needed to write some cards to people to thank them for their support.  This was my first draft: there are boxes for boys and ones for girls hence the different colours, Oh I should probably also explain that we have had fundraising pins produced for the cause, this is what they look like 1/2 blue 1/2 pink Anyway I wasn't 100% convinced on this card, so back to the craft r
