February 2025 Class Cards

Image
Hi there Creators My goodness over 1/2 way through January!, so I figured seeing as I've made them I'd best share my class cards for Feb.  Classes are Friday 7th at 1pm in my classroom Laanecoorie and Saturday 8th at 10.30am at Wattle City Church Argyle Road, Maryborough.  Class cost is $24 for 4 cards I thought we'd better make the most of the Sale-a-Bration goodies, so this is Heart Shaped Bundle (stamps & dies) that you can get for free with an order of $200, it is a pretty bundle!  I've teamed it up with the new Antique Pearls this next one uses the rather cool Linked Together Decorative Masks and also the saying from With You in Mind (I rather like nice large sayings for cards and this one has a few! Moving onto a new punch: To the Point Label Punch and matching stamp set Bright Borders And last but not least one of the new Hybrid embossing folders (this means it has dies that go with the embossing folder): Beautiful Butterflies (never would have gu...

Something Saturday - Stampin' Block Watercolouring

Hi there Creators Today I thought after last week (and the promise in my blog I'd show you how to create the background to the card) that I'd better show you how I created the background to the butterfly card with the bluey/green background. So here goes.... this is the card all finished that I started in the video, figured as I'm on a roll with baby cards for church I'd go for another one 🤣  I've used the Cheerful Daisies Stamp set for the background of the base card and the 3 little flowers in the corner, The colours I used for the watercolouring are Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape , Oh and Charming Sentiments Stamp set for the sayings Then I also went on to make this card, which uses Azure Afternoon and Sweet Sorbet for the watercolouring bit, then words from Filled with Happiness stamp set , Trucking Along Stamp se t and Circle sayings stamps for the flowers. So to create this effect all you do is take an E Block , then ink up 1/2 with one colour, the ot...

Something Saturday - Watercolouring a background

Hi there Creators, Well, if you're anything like me watercolouring is a challenge, that usually ends up as a bit of a muddy mess, however after a bit of experimentation I've come up with these:  I'm not sure the colours look quite as vibrant on here as they are in person, but suffice it to say, Wow I impressed myself 🤣 Somehow my husband saw a puppy dog with a Santa hat on in this one, above, when I gave it to him to look at.... umm ok (should I be worried lol)  then I explained that no, they're not those weird things psychiatrists give you to see just how nutty you are..... Anyway to do this (in a nutshell)  I taped the watercolour paper down to a heat proof tray using washi tape, sprayed heaps of water onto it, then dipped my water painter into various ink  colours and allowed it to drip onto the water laden paper (I used the brights re-inkers ), then I used my heat tool to dry it off. Here's the video if you want to check it out:  Oh and come back nex...
