Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

Class Cards for April

Image
Hi There Creators My classes in April are marginally disrupted with Easter, the Maryborough Class has moved forwards to 1st as otherwise we'd be meeting on Easter Saturday, which might not be the best move! So with that in mind, the first class is Sat 1st at 10.30am in Maryborough, then  Wednesday 5th 10.30am in Laanecoorie, and Thursday 6th 7pm in Laanecoorie  $20 for 4 cards, and here are the cards: I have finally broken into the Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls - it's one of those embellishments I just can't help but look at and admire how beautiful they are 🤣 you know the sort that you don't want to use, you just want to admire?  Anyway I liked the idea of having a couple spilling out of the bottle with gilded leafing .  I've used the Heron Habitat Bundle for the stamped (and die cut) bits, a bit of the By the Bay Designer Paper, and the Jar Punch to finish it off Next card uses one of the new "Online Exclusive" products this is Irresistible Blooms Sta...

Something Saturday - Black Ice

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I'm showing off this Black Ice technique, all you need is silver foil cardstock, stazon black ink and a stamp set. The basics of it is: stamp carefully onto the silver foil with Stazon Black ink (the stamp will tend to want to move slightly when you stamp on foil), allow to dry then drag the stazon ink pad across the foil card.   You end up with a sort of aged looking Sepia/Black & white image, I think it's really cool - let me know what you think 😃 Here is the card I made up before the video, I thought the Heron Habitat stamp set would look good with this technique, reminds me of old Chinese pictures, I ended up using the Heron Habitat bundle (dies and stamps) as I do love the gorgeous tags in it, and thought the long wave type die would look good on the side   Then this piece of foil is the one I actually stamp up in the video, and this is how I made the card with it, there are actually 3 different foils in the Silver Foil Specialty Pack, ...
