Hi there Creators,
Wow October already tomorrow! As I usually do I'm working my way up to having 4 Christmas cards in the selection by December, so we did 1 last month, this month we're up to 2 😊
The classes for October are this coming Saturday 5th in Maryborough at 10am, then Thursday 10th at 10.30am in Laanecoorie and 7.30pm in Laanecoorie. (Please note there is NO Wednesday class this month).
Ok so onto the cards..... First up I wanted to use some of the gorgeous new Designer Series Papers, this one is the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP, and the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set I fell in love with everything on page 31, and conveniently enough Stampin' Up! have put it all together in the Christmas Gleaming suite - Yay!
The other Christmas card for the month is this one, again using Designer Series Paper, this time you get a choice either Night before Christmas or Feels like Frost, have to admit I'm loving the Designer Series Papers available at the moment! I've also used the fabulous Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp set, it has such a great selection of Christmas sayings!
Moving on to non-christmassy cards.....
I think this Memorable Mosaic Stamp set is quite fascinating, I've teamed it up with my sponge brayers (conveniently you get 2 of them) and Rooted in Nature (for the large saying)
then the last card for the month is this one using a stamp set I haven't used for a while, Painted Harvest, it's such a pretty flower when it's built up (and it makes it really easy to line up if you add it to the Stamparatus) Also introducing the Heirloom Embossing folder which I haven't used in class before, and the saying comes from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set
So there we go, that is our line up for October! I hope if you can't make it to class that these cards inspire you to create in your own space.
If you happen to live near Wedderburn and are keen to do these cards, let me know as I am doing a private class over that way mid-month.
God Bless love

Cards for August
Hi there,
Amazing isn't it how the year is just rushing past? I have the cards sorted for August, Class dates are Saturday 4th in Maryborough at 10am, then Wednesday 8th in Laanecoorie at 10.30am and 7.30pm
Here they are, I'm hard pushed to choose a favourite this month, but this first one might be it!
it uses the beautiful "Healing Hugs" stamp set, and I had to use the new gorgeous purples! Gorgeous Grape, and Highland Heather (oh what a good name lol)
This would have to come a close second, how cute is this little platypus? he's from the stamp set Postcard Pals. Using spot of paper piecing, so bring your specs/glasses to class! I thought he teamed up rather well with the Seaside Embossing Folder, what do you think?
Next is this dinky little card made using the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes, and Oh my goodness! the stunning Petal Promenade designer Series Paper, and not forgetting the Darling Label punch box which comes with it's own set of stamps and 2 cute little stampin spots.
This last card is not quite finished as I expected the ribbon I want to use on it, to arrive on Friday, but alas no, so just imagine it with ribbon down the side! (hence the gap!) I've used the Rooted in Nature bundle to create this card and also the Subtle Embossing folder, which gives the background the lovely textured look.

CreateAbles Team Day May 2018
Hi There,
We had our CreateAbles team day on Saturday, and had so much fun, I thought I'd share some photos with you all :)
Our day started with "Yours Truly" giving a motivational talk for my team (which thankfully seemed to go down well!)
Then we moved onto Rosalie Fitzmaurice from RJ Papercrafts doing a demo for us on the new Make a Difference Alphabet set, which is a beautiful set, and she did a fabulous job demoing it to us.
gotta love this "Share What You Love Designer Series Paper", and the beautiful Pearlised Doilies!
Next Up Renee Mallia from Crafty Nay's Cards shared this fabulous Creation using the Sea of Textures Stamp set and the Under the Sea framelits:
and this is the inside it's so cool! called an explosion card (kind of like a tardis, small on the outside, but when you get in, ta da!....... lol)
I did feel mine paled into insignificance a bit beside theirs! however with my card I did get the girls using the Stamparatus, which some hadn't played with before. They had a choice of 2 cards, (same, same but different lol)
These 2 use the rather lovely embossing dies from Nature's Roots framelits, trees and sayings from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set, and the cards themselves are also new! they are the Delightfully Detailed Notecards and envelopes, I just think they're great having the already watercoloured look to them! (gee 1/2 the jobs done already!)
After Lunch we moved onto a fabulous demo by Cindy extolling the virtues of the kits (and there are many) I think she's sold me on the new Calligraphy Essentials Project kit lol, it looks soooo much better in real life than on the pages of the catalogue! (which to be honest is probably true about all the kits!).
I did a quick (very quick) demo showing the Pulled String technique - Oh my goodness it's soooo cool! just as a quick "how do you do it", Ink up a piece of string (I used Stampin' Up! twine, and reinkers) then lay it down in a squiggly line on one piece of card with a small piece coming out of the bottom, lay another piece of card over the top, put your hand over the ends, and pull the string out, and voila.....
lastly we made up colour swatches for all the new colours and all the the revised Colour Collections (we managed to get a bit of a production line going with some punching some tying and some writing)
All in all it was a fabulous day lovely to get together with some of the team members from far flung places who normally can't make it, and here we all are with our new catalogues, only a few days left till it goes live on 1st June!
If you have been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! and my CreateAbles team, do so soon as the next event that most of my team will be off to is the official OnStage Stampin' Up! event in November in Melbourne, I think the date to book is 14th August, and you'll want to have got the hang of it all by then! as the booking window is usually very short before it's all sold out. Can't wait!!
I hope this has inspired you to create (and maybe think of joining my growing team)
God Bless love
