Something Saturday - Click Clack Concertina Card

Image
Hi there Creators Well I was sitting last night wondering what to do for my Something Saturday, and playing around with a bit of paper, ended up designing this card, I've made similar cards before like the cascade cards, this is probably a bit more basic, but I'm happy with it and it's way simpler to create, but still packs a cool Woah factor🤣  I've used Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper which is on the last chance list. I decided it needed a sentiment so picked out this one from Sweetest Star Stamp set (last chance list again), because it has 6 words (1 for each panel!😃) and these Adhesive backed Snowflake Assortment are also on the last chance list and happen to be reduced to 1/2 price (woo hoo!) Ok, onto measurements.... You'll need a sheet of A4 for the base card, score it at 9.9cm either end, then cut in 1/2 at 10.5cm, fold so each piece is concertina'd into 1/3rd's then each folded piece needs a cut that goes 1/2 way up the card (in the...

Something Saturday - Designer Paper Card

Image
Hi there Creators Today I wanted to create something that would show off both sides of the Designer Paper, I'd seen a design I liked, but of course in typical Heather style it didn't turn out the way I'd seen 🤣 Having said that I'm really happy with it, I've used the Mediterranean Blooms Paper , and YAY the Citrus Blooms dies actually cut out some of the paper (gotta love that!) There is currently a special 10% off sale on the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines , and also an extra 10% off on some of the Stamp & Die bundles (so you'll get 20% off as they already have 10% off them - if that makes sense) So here is the card closed Then as you open it up, you get to see the next layer of designer paper, and the inside of the designer Paper that is the outside cover. Just realised I forgot to take a photo of the inside/inside bit lol, but when you lift the flap you see the lemons on the underside of the navy paper (you can see the pattern that was folded ov...

Let's get to it, here are the cards and what I've used: This first one uses one of the Online only embossing folders Fun Patterns , and some of the Countryside Inn Designer Paper , which has been around since last year too (so lovely it stayed!)  And also the Something Fancy Stamp set (also a keeper from last year, I love this particular saying!) Next up is the Citrus Blooms Bundle , this was on my list because of the amazing dies! (plus we have an orange tree in our back garden) Then the So Swirly Embossing folder (which incidentall...

Something Saturday - Citrus Blooms

Image
Hi There Creators Today I thought it would be fun to try out a technique I haven't done in ages - Paper Tole, using the new Citrus Blooms stamp set and dies.  Every so often I come across a stamp set that inspires me to do a spot of Paper Tole'ing, and this one has lots of dimension to it perfect for this technique. To those of you who are saying "Paper Tole-what-ing?"  Paper Tole is a way of taking a picture and literally adding dimension by having several images of the same picture a and cutting out the various parts of it and laying them up, so the picture literally builds up and gives a 3D type image. I thought it would make a beautiful framed piece (and a nice gift for a friend) - let me know what you think.... I did team it up with the fabulous sayings from Unbounded Love Stamp set (the dies that go with this stamp set are a must have!)   Then to create shiny bits I've added some of the fine tip glue pen which dries shiny clear😍 I also said in the video I...
