Something Saturday - Bendy Floating Window Card

Image
Hi there Creators,  I saw a version of this card online pretty sure it was Lisa Curcio over in the States, I have simplified it right down (my husband says conserving cardstock and being economical) 🤣 She had used 4 pieces of A6 Cardstock to create hers, mine only uses one, plus the designer paper, embellishments and a couple of white strips for the back to write on. Anyway here are the ones I created: This first one uses Sweet Jar bundle  (stamps & punch), also the new Regals Designer Series papers , and the Spotlight on Nature Dies (although when I cut the circle I wasn't really thinking about the fact the pretty bit is on the inside 🤦‍♀️) The card I made in the video uses the ever so pretty Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper, then paired up with the new Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and matching Extraordinary flora bundle .  Oh my goodness you're going to want to get those!  I've attached the saying in the same way with a strip of matchi...

Something Saturday - Using up Kit Scraps

Image
Hi there Creators today I turn to scrap booking (very rare for me!), but I had some scrap pieces left over from last weeks kit after I'd pushed out the pieces I was using, and for some reason I felt they needed photos in the middle of them - or it could have been that I was going through a draw and discovered photos (from 8 years ago)  that I'd done nothing with🤣 One way or another I ended up doing a video to give you ideas as to how you could use them.😊  However as I didn't finish off the pages in the video, here they are for you to check out..... In the video I create this blue piece with the 2 photos and white piece to write on Then this section with the heart and the 2 photos beside it was the other one I showed off in the video I've also used the Fabulous Frames Dies on the bottom photos     This next middle section was a piece from the kit that I thought the small photos of the boys on the toboggans would look good in I used one of the Heart punches f...

Something Saturday - Perfectly Pencilled meets Fabulous Frames (quick Wow card)

Image
Hi there Creators I bought this Perfectly Pencilled papers, as they are so gorgeous, but I don't really feel like colouring them in all the time (and I know some of my customers are not fans of colouring in) so thought I should come up with a quick and easy idea for making the most of them..... I was thinking that Spotlighting on the paper would be quite pretty, and I guess this is a kind of "spotlighting" This is the card I initially made:  Although at the time of the video I hadn't added the saying, what I've done is just coloured in the frames part of the card, In the video I had planned something different to what actually took place 🤣 having said that I then had to make another card (see after this one) to show what I was going to do! This is the card I made in the video: where I just turned round a couple of the pieces to display the other side of the designer paper instead,  I possibly could have got away without colouring it, but the leaves in the center...

Something Saturday - Oooo New Stuff!

Image
Hi there Creators In the video this time I show off some of my latest goodies I was allowed to pre-order from the upcoming Annual Catalogue (so exciting - even after almost 14 years!)  The catalogue actually goes live on 3rd May, so you don't have to wait long before you can start ordering 😃 Anyway my main stache was the new In Colours: A4 Papers/ Glimmer Paper (ooooo)/ Special Glittery ribbon, (Oh I'm such a goldfish! lol)/ obviously the ink pads and matching Stampin' Write Markers. I also have a couple of new stamp sets/ dies/ and embellishments, however I couldn't resist playing with my new 3D embossing folder "Fern", and here is what I ended up making up with the embossed piece I showed in the video:  I've used the new Parakeet Party ink colour along with the Evening Evergreen to give the "mottled" effect.  I've also used the new Fabulous Frames dies (2 of them) for the saying and the frame.   Then I also thought the new Rustic Metallic ...
