Something Saturday - Brightest Birthday Kit

Image
Hi there Creators Today we're checking out one of the new kits, I have to say WOW!, maybe it's the holographic blingy bits (ooooo bling....🤣)  if you're a regular reader of my blog or watch my YouTube or Facebook channels then you'll know I can't resist bling.  Anyway check out the kit here: Brightest Birthday Kit And here are the cards it makes.... oh and their matching (also blingy) envelopes. Then you'll notice on the first card with the balloons it has a box that has the holographic outline, which is actually a sticker, so in the video I show you how to get the sticker off and onto a separate piece of card without having to pick it off and re-piece it yourself. And this is the card I made with it:  I probably should have used the same Azure Afternoon colour, but I had this piece of Shy Shamrock hanging around my desk, so chose to use that instead, and seeing as the star stamp hadn't been used I figured I should put it into action.  Its not a bad littl...

In Bloom Bundle/ UFO's

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to clean up my desk, it's one of those jobs that you get started on then find things you haven't finished off....  So instead of cleaning I ended up finishing off a couple of things, hence the UFOs Unfinished Objects, as it turns out I end up using the In Bloom Bundle for both of them. The first one was this card, which I'd previously stamped but hadn't got any further, so I added the ribbon and the gorgeous Artistry Blooms sequins and finished it off: The other project is a 3D one, for which I had the "bones" made up, specifically the outside box bit, but I had plans for the inside which hadn't happened, so finally I chose the colours and what I was going to decorate it with, and here's the finished article...... I admit I did do the inside first, however you get to see the outside first lol, it's a bit purple as I was thinking about a couple of friends who love purple (plus I curre...

Cheats Watercolour techniques

Image
Hi there Creators, The other day I joined in a blog hop with others showing watercolour techniques  I was relieved to hear most of them saying watercolouring was a challenge for them too!  Anyway this morning I thought I'd take it to my Facebook live and give you a video for prosperity 😀 Here is the card I ended up making from the components I made in the video....  I've used In Bloom stamps , Pierced Blooms dies , they also happen to come as a bundle (yay for 10% off)  the bundle is called: In Bloom bundle , I've also used watercolour paper for the flowers and leaves, shimmery white card for the background  And if you want to learn how to do it , check out my video here:   Let me know how you go with these 2 techniques. I hope this inspires you to create! God Bless love Heather xox

Watercolour technique for a Watercolour challenged individual.

Image
HI there Creators Well this week I'm joining in the Watercolour Technique Blog run by Crafty Collaborations which is a collection of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world😊 this one was truly a challenge as I'm not really that great at watercolour! So I had an idea that I wanted to watercolour a few flowers from my new Pierced Blooms dies and make a kind of bouquet out of it, my initial attempts at properly watercolouring them failed dismally lol however after dropping one into the remains of colour that was on my silicone sheet I had an idea...... Here is the card I made, and I have some close ups and explanations to follow.   So my technique....  I used water color paper and cut out the die pieces, then painted each piece with water, inked up a blank stampin' block then dabbed the block onto the pieces till I liked the colour of them, with the flowers I repeated this method with a couple of colours.  I've used the Subtles colours. I really love the ...
