Class Cards for November

Hi there Creators,

Here are the cards we'll be making at class on Friday 6th 1pm my classroom in Laanecoorie and Saturday 7th 10.30am Maryborough.

Click on the photos to see a full list of the products I've used - you can also untick any you don't need and add the rest to your shopping cart with me.

This first one uses the Addressed to You stamp set and surprisingly the Arches dies, - can you work out where?

Addressed to You, Stampin Up

Next up is this So cute card with the reindeer heads from Christmas Crew (click the photo for the list of products used)  and there's some new papers used here too that will be available in November

Christmas Crew, Stampin' Up!

Card 3 is this one using the Shining Stars dies that were the Product of the Month for November, as I predicted they were ultra popular and sold out fast! (gotta be quick!) again click the photo for the products - couple of new ones here! (minus the stars sadly)

Being CreateAble with Heather, Stampin' Up!

And the last card is this one, using the gorgeous Garden Silhouette Hot foils die, without the heat or foil! And the link to the products comes up when you click on the photo

Garden Silhouette, Impressions plate, Stampin' Up!

Remember to book your spot if you plan to come to the class!  I will endeavor to do a video of this when I teach it on the Saturday, so do check that out on my Youtube channel (give me about a week after the class to get it loaded)

Hope you can join in, but if you can't I hope these inspire to create!

Good Thing Mosaic - Chain Card Swap A

 Hi there Creators,

Just in case you're new to this Chain Swap (and have missed the other hops I've done)  I joined in from April to August in something called a "Chain Swap".

The best way I can describe it is Chinese Whispers for cards.  We took turns starting the chain off with our card, whoever starts it sends it to the next person on the list who CASE's it (Copy And Selectively Edit), they then send their card onto the next person and so it continues.  I'm fascinated to see how the beginning and end results turn out, each of these blog posts have links on them at the bottom to the others in the chain, so let me know what you think, and make sure you check out the whole round!

If you have come from the previous blogs you'll have seen the progression so far! Make sure you tap below to see the next one!

This time I was playing with this beautiful light and airy Mosaic Garden paper, the colours are so Spring-like and refreshing!  I discovered that the patterns on some of the papers are identical just different colours, so I took advantage of that for this card, with a spot of fussy cutting.  Click on the photo for a link to see all the goodies I used on this card.

Mosaic Garden, Stampin' Up!

So now, go and check out the others in the chain, I love the variety and inspiration that everyone has gathered from the card that was mailed to them.

Sassy Sunflowers CreateAlong

 Hi There Creators,

Wow I just realised I didn't do a post for this - oops!

Ah well, now to show off the projects, plus a couple of others that I made up with the left overs, the box is first in the video, then the 6 cards below.  If you are keen to see/purchase any of the goodies I've used, check out this link, and untick the ones you don't want/need: Sassy Sunflowers Products Used sadly the Sunflower 3D embossing folder I used in the fancy fold card at the end has retired and went like hot cakes!

Then I made up these 2 extra cards as you end up with a heap of left overs in your kit I created for you.

Sassy Sunflowers, Being CreateAble with Heather

I figured I could create a "blokey" card along with this too, by using the (not quite so pretty in my humble opinion 🤣) side of the Designer Paper

Sassy Sunflowers, Being CreateAble with Heathe

What do you reckon is that kind of "blokey"?

If you missed the video here it is:

I hope this inspires you to create, and if you're keen to purchase the tutorial for this, head over to the tutorials part of this blog, all the measurements are in the tutorial pdf.

Velvet Meadow Friends - Chain Card Swap J

 Hi there Creators,

Just in case you're new to this Chain Swap (and have missed the other hops I've done)  I joined in from April to August in something called a "Chain Swap".

The best way I can describe it is Chinese Whispers for cards.  We took turns starting the chain off with our card, whoever starts it sends it to the next person on the list who CASE's it (Copy And Selectively Edit), they then send their card onto the next person and so it continues.  I'm fascinated to see how the beginning and end results turn out, each of these blog posts have links on them to the next person in the chain, so let me know what you think, and make sure you check out the whole round! I'm not going to spoil the surprise by putting anyone else's cards in (partly because I'd have to search through my classroom - or craft room to find them!)🤦‍♀️

If you have come from the previous blogs you'll have seen the progression so far!

Here is my card I created this time using the gorgeous Velvet Meadow paper (so touchy feely🤣) This layout almost gives a window-like look.  Also love this Peaceful Pine Ribbon! all the Stampin' Up! ribbons are invariably soft, and this is not exception, but it also gives such a nice crisp feel to the card.

click on the photo to see all the goodies I used to create this card. (except for Cutest Crew Stamp set that I used but it wouldn't let me load onto the page🤷)  Have to admit it's one of my favourite sets for the sayings in it!

So now, go and check out the others in the chain, I love the variety and inspiration that everyone has gathered from the card that was mailed to them.

Something Saturday - Blend It & Bling It

 Hi There Creators,

Well today we're kind of going back in time!  When I first joined Stampin' Up! the Blender Pens were one of my absolute favourite colouring tools, they come in a pack of 3 and pretty much any waterbased ink/ watercolour pencils, even pastels you can use them with.

Sunshine Ladybird - Chain Card Swap Hop I

This is the card I started my round with, I wonder 10 cards later how it will have changed?

For my card I have used Springtime scenes Bundle  (which is sadly now on the last chance list, however it might be worth checking out the individual Springtime Scenes Stamp set and Springtime Scenes dies, as it could be cheaper that way!) along with the Brushed Brass Butterflies,(which have retired and sold out😔) watercolour pencils and blender pens.  Having said that it would work well with any line image stamp set!

So now, go and check out the others in the chain, I love the variety and inspiration that everyone has gathered from the card that was mailed to them.

Something Saturday - Diamond Fancy Fold card

 Hi there Creators,

Today I'm showing you what one of my fabulous team members shared with us at our last Team Zoom, I've converted it to A4 structure and added a little twist😜

I mention a couple of upcoming classes in the video, you can find the details for each if click on these links: 25 Day Advent Calendar Boxes,  Creative Celebration Crew

I believe it's called a Diamond fancy fold card, Chris who was teaching us had no sound, it was kind of like watching Charlie Chaplain (mime artist), and it was so entertaining!  We all managed to complete our cards, so kudos to Chris! 💖🎉

Here's how mine turned out on the night: I used the Luxe Foliage Specialty paper to make this one, you can score this paper for only $9 when you place an order of $125+

Diamond Fancy Fold Card, Stampin' Up!

Diamond Fancy Fold Card, Stampin' Up!

The instructions Chris gave us were in inches, and you may or may not know that when I make cards I prefer them to be metric, so of course I had to change it over and reconfigure it, I think I did ok!
Here's my version...... I used the Moonlit Flora Designer Series paper for this one

Diamond Fancy Fold Card, Stampin' Up!

Diamond Fancy Fold Card, Stampin' Up!

In the video I promised the measurements on here, so here goes: you will need:

  • A6 base card, fold back the front in 1/2
  • Matching or contrasting cardstock squares 2 of 5.2cm and 2 of 7.4cm squares and a strip 8cm x 3cm scored at 2cm, 4cm & 6cm
  • Designer Series paper: 14.3cm x 10cm, plus 2 of 14.3cm x 5cm, and 2 of 4.5cm and 1 of 7cm

Let me know if you have a go, or what you think of my "twist"

Creative Celebration Crew November In person Class

Hi there Creators

I mention this in my Something Saturday video on 3rd Oct, and do a quick sneak peek, apparently when I asked ChatGPT to create me a flyer for it she created a bit of a stutter at the beginning and gave Creative 2 C's (which I completely missed until after I'd printed a heap. Oh well back to the drawing board!  This class is 5 Christmas Cards and 6 present tags (or potentially you could pop them on a card front) plus you'll end up with all the spare cardstock we haven't used in class, so you can create more at home.  I'm anticipating this will be popular so I've scheduled in 2 days for it,  I've actually used this fabulous bundle: Christmas Crew Bundle  how cute is it?

Let me know if you have any questions/want to book your spot (check out the details on the flyer)

25 Day Advent Box Calendar

Hi There Creators

I made up these cute boxes and figured that they'd be fabulous to put a scratchy into or chocolate, (or really whatever floats your goat!)🐐🤣  they can be hung from your tree....hidden round the house (hunt down the box for the day!) get your Elf on the shelf hugging them.....

I will do a quick video on how to put the boxes together, but basically your kit will have all the boxes and pieces pre-cut for you.  And if you'd like to make more why not buy the Box of Joy Bundle, from me and get a $10 discount on your kit.  You will need a stamp set to stamp sayings or Christmassy things round the sides and back of your box (ironically you can't see that I've stamped sayings from this kit on the sides and backs of these boxes, this is what the stamp set & dies look like, my fav saying is "Spoiler Alert - it's not a pony" 🤣

Let me know if you have any questions!  (there would be postage on top if this needs mailing to you.)
