Something Saturday - Triple Ripped Card

Image
Hi there Creators I saw a quick link thingo of a card on Facebook, and sort of noted what she did - which was really cool, so set about having a go and I have no idea if it's the same as I can't remember what it was called or who had done it, but it worked out well anyway, and now I get to share it with you🤣 So here we are...... You might recognise this one as it's one in my "card conglomerate" of Mega Class cards for 19th July (if you're keen to come to the Mega class or get it as a mail order class, you've got till 2nd July to book your spot) check out the blog post on the class here: July Mega Class Then in the video I made up the "bones" of this card, which I've then stamped up using the Inspiring Imperfections bundle (great stamp set & dies) For the base I've used the Misty Moonlight two-tone cardstock, it's kind of cool as it has the same colour on both sides, just one light and one darker.  I've cut this to 9" x ...

Something Saturday - Double Embossing

Image
Hi there Creators, So, today we're doing "double embossing" oooo!  First we dry emboss using an embossing folder (with a twist) then we heat emboss the same image 😃 Here are the cards I created from this technique: This is the first card I made before the video (and I was really happy with the way it turned out!  I've put versamark onto the embossing folder, then run the piece of Blackberry Bliss card through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, then heat embossed with silver embossing powder, I was so happy with the way it turned out I figured I should show you all how to do it too 😁  I've used the stamp set Light the Sky (which I think I used last week too!), the embossing folder Merry Melody , and Metallics heat embossing powders I also made this one up before the video, this time I embossed the Pretty Peacock cardstock, then lightly rubbed the versamark over the raised image, and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.   Then I wondered how it ...

Something Saturday - Embossed Acetate

Image
Hi there Creators At our recent Creative Connections (demo only event) Bec Scurr (one of my sister demos from Queensland) did a talk on using embossing folders and created a gorgeous card using an acetate window.  I thought I should have a go and show you too. So here are the cards I created: This is the card I created before the video cutting out of the Cute Zoo Crew Designer Paper for the little guy with his bongo drums, Check out all the products I've used here: What Heather Used I've used my Black Stazon to rub over the window sheeting so the design pops out (and the sentiments are stamped inside the card deliberately to show through the window. This is the one I made up in the video, made in the same way, but this time using the new Stars at Night hybrid (embossing folder & dies), some of the gorgeous new Winter Meadow Designer Paper, one of the new Faceted Gems in the middle of the star, and a saying from (again new) Night Devine Stamp set, oh and not forgetting the D...
