Something Saturday - Great Fancy Fold Card plus more alternative ways to use the Hot foil (cold)

Hi there Creators

After last week of using the "hot" foil - cold I've kind of continued the streak, I feel like I can't get enough of the foil, and I'm so in love with the card I created this week (you all know I can't resist Bling anyway......)

Oh and, absolutely no relevance to this Something Saturday, but there is a Paper Sale on currently so if you had your eye on any of the Gorgeous Designer Series papers/ need any A4 Cardstock colours or 2 Tone Cardstock, check the sale out here  Paper Sale  it's on till the end of the month. - Make sure you sign up for my emails to get the latest updates!

So without further ado, here is the card, sadly photo's really don't do it justice

Stampin' Up! fancy fold card, alternate hot foil ideas

I have started off with a piece of thick white A4 card, cut this lengthways at 10.5cm, then scored 2, 4, 6, & 8cm in on each end.  I've then used the Gears & Textures Bundle to stamp the 3 sections that show once they're folded round to form the pillars at the side of the card

I then cut a piece of smoky slate cardstock 9.2cm x 10cm, embossed it with the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder, using a piece of sponge, lightly brushed glue on, then used the Silver hot foil pressed onto it, and the glue picks up the foil.😃

But wait there's more.....I added some Adhesive sheet to the front of white cardstock, and cut some of the Gears & Textures Dies, then peeled off the protective layer and pressed them onto the foil, and Ta, da... they turn silver - woah, (so easy) and no heat embossing in sight!

I then finished off by brushing on some Basic Gray down the bottom of the embossed/foiled piece, and gluing it all together, oh and the saying/punch is the  Banner Sayings bundle

I've got this photo for you to see the "top" of the card too:

Then I also made this card up, this time I didn't cut it down, so the embossed piece is 10.5cm x 13cm the rest of the measurements are the same. Oh and this one uses the beautiful Swirls of Magic embossing folder and the Gold Hot Foil.  Also the Begonia Belle Stamp set (this is last month's product of the month, which is still available)  to get it you need to purchase $125 of goodies and you then have the option to purchase it for $9.

What do you think?  are you game to have a go?  Oh and a quick tip, I've taken to storing my scrap hot foils in one of these: Stamp & Die organisers - if you cut yourself a 12" long piece of cardstock by 13cm, and fold it, so you can pop the foil inside the cardstock then pull it in and out of the organiser it makes it really easy to store (see it in use in my video)

Thinking of which if you missed the video here it is:

I hope this inspires you to create

God Bless love
