Something Saturday - Long Time No See

Hi there Creators, Well today I just had to show off this idea I had for my new stamp set: "Long Time No See" (click the link to see it)  I couldn't resist the idea of making the bodies longer, with pull out pieces. This is the one I started in the video all finished:  I've used the Regals Stampin' Write Markers to colour my Alpaca & Christmas Decorations in, and some of my favourite bling; Drusy Adhesive Backed embellishments , Oh they are soooo shiny! 😍 I'm so happy with the way it turned out! Then of course I had to have a play with the sausage dog.....  using the Brights Stampin' Write Markers this time, and the Happy Labels Pick a Punch to create the Ticket look for the sayings I took a couple of "how to" photos as I was making this second card and thought I'd share with you: First up stamp the dog on the top piece of card Then  add some body to him, plus stamp his tail and extra body onto other card, and cut out, then cut a slit a...

Cards for October class

 Hi there Creators, these are the cards we'll be making in my classes next month, the class dates are: Wednesday 5th 10.30am in Laanecoorie, Thursday 6th 7pm in Laanecoorie and Saturday 8th 10.30am in Maryborough. I thought we'd do 2 Christmas cards again this month, as we work our way up to 3 in November and 4 in December 🤣 This first card uses Quatrefoil embossing folder, then the Handmade wishes bundle (stamps and punch)  I love this punch I think it's so versatile!  I did do a blog/video on it back in July, you can see it here if you want to find out just how versatile it is: https://mccarthyheather.blogspot.com/2022/07/something-saturday-handmade-tag-punch.html ,  for some reason this embossing folder to me looks "Christmassy"  To see what I used click here: What Heather Used Last time someone mentioned that we hadn't done much by way of embossing folders recently, so this month we're rectifying that 😃  This next card uses Charming Landscapes Embos...

Creating Pearly Paper

 Hi there Creators, I was surfing YouTube the other day looking for nothing in particular and came across a video from a lady in the State called Linda Heller who was showing how to create Pearlized paper, I thought it was so cool that I had to have a go too! It involves Cardstock, a blending brush and a pot of Frost White Shimmer Paint (so tempting to say a pot of gold lol)     Anyway, moving on...... the general gist is you use the blending brush to brush the card stock with the frost white shimmer paint, and then do whatever you're going to do with it, here's what I did!... I've used the amazing Sand & Sea Suite, in particular the Friends are like Seashells bundle and the Seashells 3D embossing folder (it pack a really WOW!)
