Something Saturday - Diamond Fancy Fold card

 Hi there Creators,

Today I'm showing you what one of my fabulous team members shared with us at our last Team Zoom, I've converted it to A4 structure and added a little twist😜

I mention a couple of upcoming classes in the video, you can find the details for each if click on these links: 25 Day Advent Calendar Boxes,  Creative Celebration Crew

I believe it's called a Diamond fancy fold card, Chris who was teaching us had no sound, it was kind of like watching Charlie Chaplain (mime artist), and it was so entertaining!  We all managed to complete our cards, so kudos to Chris! 💖🎉

Here's how mine turned out on the night: I used the Luxe Foliage Specialty paper to make this one, you can score this paper for only $9 when you place an order of $125+

The instructions Chris gave us were in inches, and you may or may not know that when I make cards I prefer them to be metric, so of course I had to change it over and reconfigure it, I think I did ok!
Here's my version...... I used the Moonlit Flora Designer Series paper for this one

Creative Celebration Crew November In person Class

Hi there Creators

I mention this in my Something Saturday video on 3rd Oct, and do a quick sneak peek, apparently when I asked ChatGPT to create me a flyer for it she created a bit of a stutter at the beginning and gave Creative 2 C's (which I completely missed until after I'd printed a heap. Oh well back to the drawing board!  This class is 5 Christmas Cards and 6 present tags (or potentially you could pop them on a card front) plus you'll end up with all the spare cardstock we haven't used in class, so you can create more at home.  I'm anticipating this will be popular so I've scheduled in 2 days for it,  I've actually used this fabulous bundle: Christmas Crew Bundle  how cute is it?

Let me know if you have any questions/want to book your spot (check out the details on the flyer)

25 Day Advent Box Calendar

Hi There Creators

I made up these cute boxes and figured that they'd be fabulous to put a scratchy into or chocolate, (or really whatever floats your goat!)🐐🤣  they can be hung from your tree....hidden round the house (hunt down the box for the day!) get your Elf on the shelf hugging them.....

I will do a quick video on how to put the boxes together, but basically your kit will have all the boxes and pieces pre-cut for you.  And if you'd like to make more why not buy the Box of Joy Bundle, from me and get a $10 discount on your kit.  You will need a stamp set to stamp sayings or Christmassy things round the sides and back of your box (ironically you can't see that I've stamped sayings from this kit on the sides and backs of these boxes, this is what the stamp set & dies look like, my fav saying is "Spoiler Alert - it's not a pony" 🤣

Let me know if you have any questions!  (there would be postage on top if this needs mailing to you.)

Sweetest Day Jars - Chain Card Swap H

Hi there Creators,

Just in case you're new to this Chain Swap (and have missed the other hops I've done)  I joined in from April to August in something called a "Chain Swap".

The best way I can describe it is Chinese Whispers for cards.  We took turns starting the chain off with our card, whoever starts it sends it to the next person on the list who CASE's it (Copy And Selectively Edit), they then send their card onto the next person and so it continues.  I'm fascinated to see how the beginning and end results turn out, each of these blog posts have links on them at the bottom to the others in the chain, so let me know what you think, and make sure you check out the whole round!

If you have come from the previous blogs you'll have seen the progression so far! Make sure you tap below to see the next one!

Today's one is a bit of a fancy fold, where you spilt the front of the card into sections and glue down the 2 outer ones, sadly the stamp set I used has now retired, but click on the photo to see the rest of the "ingredients" I've used to create this one This Homemade Sweetness Designer Series paper is fabulous for being able to cut out the jar images (and bonus they're already coloured in for you🤣) plus you can use some of the partial images to add to the inside edges of your card (you can just see one under the front panel)

So now go and check out the others in the chain, I love the variety and inspiration that everyone has gathered from the card that was mailed to them.

Something Saturday - September 26 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Hi There Creators,

Yep it's that time of the month, Paper Pumpkin Time 💖🎉(pumpkin emoji's aren't that great) Click the link to find out all about paper pumpkin.

My Challenge to myself each time it comes is to create the actual cards, In this case 2, then with the rest of the kit see what else I can create, by not adding too many more products, in this particular instance I used Wink of Stella (gotta have extra bling), green ink pad initially I used Peaceful Pine then realised that actually Mossy Meadow is the right colour!, also blending brushes to go with the Early Espresso that comes with the kit and my green colour, plus some extra glues and thick white cardstock for card bases.

Check this link out for a list of the goodies I used: Sept PP Alternative Extra goodies required

And here's what I created...

First up the "official" 2 cards (of which if you just make these up there's 5 of each)

September 26 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Stampin' Up!

I don't really like to overcomplicate the cards, so clockwise the first card just has the leaves stamped around the image, then coloured in with Wink of Stella. Second card, has the trees masked off first to add green to the frame, then the frame masked to add brown to the trees. One of the brown banners is halved, as is the circle, and wink of stella'd in various places.  Next up (bottom right) I've taken one of the tree frames and cut the trees out, added them to the "middle" of the card then added the trees frame over top, and then the saying at the bottom. Last card in this photo, I've just cut the tree frame and added the trees individually over top, with the other 1/2 of the circle for the saying and the other 1/2 of the brown banner.

Next photo (again clockwise) like before I've masked the inside trees of the frame to create the green outside, and vice versa to add brown to the trees. Also I cut one of the main cards up so I could use the pine trees and yellow trees separately, so the yellow trees are up on dimensionals on this card (more obvious in the flesh as it were) next card, I cut one of the frames down to just the trees (kept the side piece, cut the ends on an angle, scrunched it up and brushed green onto it) the extra trees got stuck down to the base card, and the next frame added over top (on Foam Adhesive strips) then the green scrunched bit added over the right side of the frame, I've dipped the other side of the frame (trees side) into my ink pad just to even out the colour difference and added the saying over top of the trees.  Bottom right I've turned over one of the trees frames, dragged the brown ink pad over it (that came with the kit) then stamped the saying on one of the pieces that get punched out, popped it back in place, and obviously stamped and "stella'd" the main card base.  Last card I cut the card up and used the back of the card, with the ink pad pressed onto it multiple times for the "mat" then cut up the main image into sections, and fussy cut a couple of the leaves for the corners.

Then lastly the 4 somewhat more random cards🤣, The first one is made using the negative of the punched out circles, oh and I made up a bow using some of the cardstock that was between the punched out banners, hence the white and brown stripes.  Next very random looking card uses the trees frame (before you use them on one of the other cards!) as a mask to create the background, I actually think it's kind of cool! (but maybe that's just me)  also added Stella, although you can't really see it in the photo) Bottom right has green brushed onto the base card first, just in the middle so it shows nicely behind the pine trees. then uses the pine trees cut from one of the base cards, and layered up so they sit nicely, then a couple of strips of cardstock coloured with the brown ink and softened by curling it  to create what looks like ribbon.  And last but not least..... I've used the negative piece from the long saying tags as a mask to create the stripey background, then stamped the leaves, cut forks in the end of one of those long saying pieces, and an extra fork in the end of the brown banner, with the saying on top.

September 26 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives, Stampin' Up!

And that's it!  If you don't already subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, why not give it a whirl?, there's so much you can create with these kits and you do end up with a variety of mini ink pads and different stamp sets in each kit, to build up your basic collection of colours.  Check out the info on Paper Pumpkin (click on the link)

I hope this inspires you to create

My Card in this chain is this one:  I decided to focus on the background in the swap I received, and hence built up this card, using the Stitched Stocking Bundle (click on the photo for a page showing you all the goodies I've used)
