Hi there Creators, Today I thought I'd show you something I saw at the Picture to Page show recently, the fold kind of fascinated me, so I went home and mocked up a practice one (and after several attempts with scrap paper finally got it worked out!) A4 style 😁 I decided to use the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper partly because I keep forgetting to use it, and I do love the gold foiling in it. I ended up using Peach Pie A4 Card and B lueberry Bushel A4 to create the base cards with, then used the Nested Essentials Dies (so glad I bought these as they're incredibly useful), and Simply Said stamp set , which is my "go to" set, when I don't know what else to use🤣. Here are the finished cards: and just a few more photos to show you the back, side and bottom.... So to create.... The peach card (portrait) take a piece of A4 cut in 1/2 lengthways, and score in 1/2 at 14.8cm, from the 1/2 way point across the top fold of the card score down...

Hi Everyone, In September's Interactive Card Class on Monday 18th, we will be making Camera Shutter Cards, I thought I'd show you them, and if you can't make it to the class I am happy to mail out the kits (see more info later) although I can't stamp for you, as per Stampin' Up! policy. Here is card #1: kind of needs 3 photos to display it properly! the first card uses the Bookcase Builder Stamp set and the Baby Bear stamp set for the words. Then also the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper such gorgeous paper! The second card is this one: I love this one, you can choose your "critter" to go in the shutter window, it does involve a spot of fussy cutting, but so worth it! This one uses the Marquee Messages Stamp Set , and the cute Pick a Pattern designer Series Paper . If you would like the kit and instructions mailed to you for $15, please use this (secure) link to pay for it: Kit and Instructions Please order by 18th and I will e...

Hi Everyone Gee we're almost at the end of August already! On 1st September the new Holiday catalogue is officially released (yay!) If you are coming to one of my classes next month, I will have them ready for everyone to have one, if not and you'd like me to send you a catalogue - let me know! Class dates are: Maryborough Sat 2nd 10am, Kangaroo Flat Wed 6th 10.30am, and Laanecoorie Wed 13th 7.30pm. Ok, well, I may have delved into the new catalogue for a couple of our cards this month lol first up, one of my new favourite stamps: Painted Harvest: this is one of those 2 step stampin' sets where you stamp one image then the next one directly over top, for the flower and for the leaves (Oh it's so pretty!) and, get this, there's a punch that goes with the leaves! (how exciting!!, it comes as a bundle too 😃) Card #2 New stuff again *Hooray!!* Thought we'd better have a Christmas card in the mix as it's leading up to Christmas (only 4 months!) t...

Hi Everyone, I sent out an email to encourage people to send me photos of their work using Stampin' Up! goodies, and offered a prize draw (some of the gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots ). the brief was to send me photos of anything you've created using Stampin' Up! goodies (and be happy for me to display them on my blog) by 20th August. I had 2 people who entered, and I love what they created! First up Sharon, was telling me how she's also a quilter, and uses her stamps in her quilting, she stamps them then sews over top of them, here is the example she sent me: if you have perused the Hostess stamp sets you'll recognise the pretty flower that's bending over top of the 40! it's from the Feathery Friends Stamp set , I love this idea of sewing over top of the stamped image! Coral sent me 2 entries: funny thing but these 2 also use a hostess set, although this one is retired now (but I still love it!) She's also used the beautiful tree from Though...
Sneak Peek #2: Musical Season

Hi Everyone, the new Holiday catalogue comes out on 1st September, and as a demonstrator I get to pre-order from it (yay!) one of the sets that especially took my fancy was one called Musical Season bundled with the Musical Instruments framelit dies, mainly for the Treble Clef that is in the framelits, being a singer, musical stuff appeals to me (and I know a lot of other musical people too) This first card uses the Sheet Music Background Stamp in Smoky Slate to begin with, initally I'd done the instruments in Night of Navy, but the card looked too bland, so I ended up making a bit more Christmassy with the Real Red and Old Olive colours, of course the Treble Clef!, it has little dots of silver glitter on the side pattern pieces, which you can just see. The other card I was able to make today is this one: how cool is the French Horn?, I like the sayings and the holly sprig is a lovely stamp too, only one other stamp in the set is a little drummer boy, which I didn't ha...

Hi Everyone, Yep that time of year again, where as a demo I get to pre-order from the new Holiday catalogue to be released to the public on 1st September, so I thought I'd best tempt you with some of the new goodies that I've been blessed enough to be able to purchase. First up is this ultra cute Pizza box, its just over 3", so of course I had to make some cute little cards to go in it, because (of course) Stampin' Up! have conveniently enough produced 3x3 size envelopes, funny that! I cut A5 cardstock into 3 (7cm x 7.4cm) to make little cards the right size to go into the envelopes (and no waste - gotta love that!) For the cards I wanted to use the new Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is truly gorgeous, it's all single sided design and has Gold, Silver, Copper and Champagne foil (yes - Champagne eek, how exciting!) Oh I suppose you want to see the cards LOL The backgrounds are all the new DSP, then the die cuts are (su...

Hi Everyone, well I had a message from my friend Angie who'd seen the stamp set You Deserve This , and felt it was exactly what she needed to encourage her Jamberry team. It arrived and we had a play today, funny it's a set I hadn't really looked at till she pointed it out to me. Here it is! So when it came I thought I'd do a little google'ing and Pinterest'ing, and came up with very little eek! I thought I'd show you what I came up with for her (she had a go too, and was able to to reproduce one of the cards (then we ran out of time!) this is the first one I made, not my favourite, the You Deserve This is heat embossed with Copper (not too obvious in the photo, sorry) Next I made up this one: Prefer this, I've mounted the 2 small stamp sets together and stamped those using Elegant Eggplant to create a background, then the Hooray is stamped using Berry Burst and cut out (oh by the way we ended up chopping up the large image with all the w...
Interactive Cards class (Magic Slider Cards)

Hi Everyone, Coming up on Tuesday 15th August is my Interactive Cards class, this month we are doing Magic Slider Cards. Which if you follow my blog, you'll recollect from the Bendigo Craft Alive Show back in June. We'll be making 2 cards (and you will have instructions to create more), here they are: this one uses the Birthday Delivery stamp set and framelits , the idea behind a Magic Slider is that the image is not coloured when the card is slid shut, then when you pull the slider up, it magically colours the image in. Here is the other card we'll be creating: I love flowers done this way, this one is from the stamp set You've Got This . Hope you can join us either Tuesday morning or Tuesday evening, if you do want to, please book as soon as possible, as I will be making up the kits on Sunday/Monday. Hope it inspires you to create! God Bless love Heather xox
