February 2017 Class Projects

Hi Everyone,
Wow we're almost at the end of January!  So here are my class cards for February, class dates are Wednesday 1st Feb at our new home in Kangaroo Flat - Rosedale (10.30am), Saturday 4th Feb in Maryborough (10am), and Wed 8th Feb in Laanecoorie (eve).
My mum reminded me that it's Valentines day in Feb, when I was on the phone to her yesterday, so I thought we'd best do something "Valentinesey" but as I'm not big on Valentines day, this one can be dressed up for the occasion, or just for a good friend:
I love the copper foil, and I'm pleased with the way it turned out I think the copper pairs nicely with the Cherry Cobbler colour (felt I'd better use a red for the occasion - lol)  the spots in the background are from one of my favourite Stamp sets "Gorgeous Grunge"And this saying is from "Suite Sentiments" it has some fabulous sayings in it!
Ok moving onto the next card:
Yes this one does seem to be 3 cards! however you get to pick 1! it uses the beautiful "Artisically Asian" stamp set, and the saying is from "Teeny tiny Sentiments" it's one of my Go To stamp sets for sayings, and I've used the handy notecards and envelopes.
Card #3 is this one:
I have long wanted to get this stamp set "Marquee Messages", and finally did the other day, I thought with my 3 boys it would be perfect for party invitations, not to mention a great one for boys birthday cards!  I just love the saying Party - like a rock star!
And the final card might be a bit familiar for those of you who've checked out my blog recently:)
Using the pretty new lace doilies from the Occasions catalogue as a mask, and the lovely "So Very Much" Sale-a-Bration stamp set, (for every $90 of products you purchase, you get to choose 1 Sale-a-Bration product for FREE! - gotta love free stuff!)

So that's my February Class cards, if' you plan to come to one of my classes do let me know.  And if you can't make it but would like instructions send me a message.
If you would like to join my mailing list, don't forget to add your details😊

Well I hope I have inspired you to Create

INKspiration Challenge Offical Launch

Hi Everyone,
Well I have been meaning to get into my craft room for this challenge for a week and 1/2 now, finally made it.... YAY!
I'm really pleased with this card, quite simple, and I think it'll be in my teaching next month!
So without further ado here it is:
The "brief" was to create a card using these colours, although I haven't used all of them (and I've substituted Blushing Bride for Flirty Flamingo)  I'm still quite chuffed with it!
 INKspiration
You should be able to click on the icecream photo to check out what others have been doing over on the INKspiration Facebook site.
You might be wondering what I've used?  Well the ink colours are Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, and Flirty Flamingo,  then I've taken one of the gorgeous new Lace Doilies, and used it as a mask with the 3 different colours, just daubing them over it, then moving the doily and doing the same again, till the background is covered.  Then I've taken the lovely Sale-a-Bration stamp, "So Very Much" and stamped that straight over the top using Sweet Sugarplum.

Remember for every $90 of product you order at the moment you do get to choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration item (YAY for free stuff 😊)

I hope I have inspired you to create
God Bless love

Global Design Project GDP#69 Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I thought I'd have a go at the GDP challenge again this week, which is a colour challenge
I saw someone's handbag when I was at work the other day, and the button just made me want to have a "go at it!, then I remembered about the handbag cards I used to make when I first started  with Stampin' Up! we used to use various punches, and folded over the top, and they made really cute little handbags.

After checking out my available punches I decided to go bigger......and judging my the reaction from my ladies at my Wednesday evening class it was worth it!
The button is actually made from Silver Foil cardstock, with TipTop Taupe underneath, and a Delightful Dijon cross from the Festive Flower builder punch.

The Handbag card itself is made using the largest Lots of Labels framelit.
Umm this could end up being a Class project, or a video..........

Thanks for reading this, and do check out the other Global Design Project's here:

Hope I have inspired you to create 😊

January 2017 CreateAbles Team Meeting

Hi Everyone,
Well this morning was our monthly team meeting as it's January a lot of folks were away, so in the end there was 3 of us! - and I remembered to take some photos - Yay!
We did a spot of training on the Stampin' Up! levels first, and checked out the reports on the website, hopefully it made more sense now to Val and Marg :)
Then I did a little "Show and Tell" on how to use your thinlits and framelits to emboss instead of cut, (you'll see a video on using thinlits here: video on embossing with thinlits)
I used a framelit too to create this cute card:
Then we moved on to the Make and Takes first up using the new Balloon Adventure Bundle

If you have one the catalogues it's all on page 5 (if you'd like one let me know!) I've also used the Party Animal Designer Series Paper and the Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon and the Party Animal Embellishments (they're so cool!) Oh except for the Candle Border Punch!which is on page 7.

The other card we created is one of the ones I was teaching at my classes this month:
Just love this Beautiful You stamp set!
As there was only the 2 ladies, they both ended up with a prize from the raffle (actually we didn't have a raffle I just gave them both one of the prizes each 😊 (I love treating my team members)

And here are they are creating:
And their creations;

Thanks for coming girls, and for everyone else, if you want to join my team, NOW is the time, as from January to end of March you can get an extra 2 free stamp sets with your starter kit (which you pick your own goodies to the value of $235 and only pay $169!) click on the "Join My Team" tab above, for more information.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post, and it has inspired you to create.

So Detailed Thinlits embossed

Hi everyone
Well here it is the video I promised at the end of the last post!
Here is the actual card again too:
I have used the new So Detailed Thinlit dies, which will be available on 4th January, and one of the new Sale-a-Bration sets, also from 4th January.  With Sale-a-Bration (SAB) items you get to pick one of the sets/papers etc for free for every $90 you spend the So In Love Bundle which is the stamp sets and thinlits in the wood, are just over the $90 and in the clear are just under, which leaves room to get the ribbon, papers or adhesives!  So for just over $90 you could have 2 stamp sets and a set of thinlit dies (bargain!)
Do let me know what you think of the video,
I hope I have inspired you to create :)

Colour INKspiration Pre-Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I was invited to join a group called Colour INKspiration, which will be doing a bi-monthly colour challenge, the first (pre) one is for these colours:  Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron.

So off I went to my Craft room... (and an idea brewed.......)
I really wanted to be able to use this die from the So In Love bundle, but not cut with it, just use it to emboss, and this is what developed from that idea - I love it!  I've paired it with the Sale-a-Bration set Designer Tees, because I just love this saying "Don't quit your daydream".
The other thing I really love about this card is actually the way the paper has split slightly and it gives it that variegated colour, sort of reminds me of dyed silk:

So then of course I had to see if the other 2 dies in the set would look as good! first up came this one:
although I have to say the cutting out of it was bloomin' fiddly!, but I like it, I've used the matching stamp set So In Love with this one, wasn't too sure what to do with the curly leaf things, so had to refer to the catalogue for that one! Oh and I managed to stick to the same colours for it 😊,
Although for the last one, I really don't see hearts in those beautiful crisp colours!
So......
it had to be red!  this one's not my favourite, think I'm going to have to research in pinterest this one a bit more!  I do like the simplicity of the card though.
Thinking that the first card would make an excellent U-tube video, so stay tuned, hopefully tomorrow I'll get my precarious set up going, and give it a whirl πŸ˜€

Tell me which one is your favourite (please),
Hope this has inspired you to create (and maybe check out the video once it's done)

Creations for classes in January 2017

Hi Everyone,
I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and that 2017 will turn out to be an amazing year for you 😊

I have worked out my January class class projects (dates for classes are: Saturday 7th January 10am, and Wednesday 11th January 7.30pm which is what I'll be showing you in this blog
First up we have:
I couldn't resist using this new "Beautiful You" stamp set, I've also used the new Watercolour pencils to colour her in, and cut out with the Flower Medallion punch, the background paper is
As the background papers are all different, I thought I'd do another one to show you too:
I've done a close up of the writing to show you too as it's not so obvious in this photo, as the area I wanted to put the writing on is quite dark, I've added a layer of white first, but you do have to let it dry properly or it will fade away!
So the next card again uses a new set, that I've done a blog post on before feel free to check it out here:  Bookcase Builder Stamp set blog post
I said it last time and I'll say it again, I just love the sayings in this set! and I really think it makes a great baby card, I even think this card would look cute in a scrapbook album!
So onwards - next card uses, Oh look at that, again some new stuff! (huh who would have thought!)
Alright so this card uses the "So in Love Bundle" one of the pretty Thinlit dies, and one of the sayings from the set, the sayings can be interchanged, I just thought it's been a long time since I did a Happy Anniversary card!  Underneath you'll see the embossed piece - that's done with the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing folder (and Smoky Slate cardstock) - it's pretty cool!  Add a bit of the sequin trim (I've used the Blushing Bride colour to match the cardstock)  Love the way Stampin' Up! colour codes everything so it matches!
Onto the last card, and this time I chose not to use a new stamp set, but a continuing one from the Holiday Catalogue:
Paisleys and Posies, I haven't used this set much in the lead up to Christmas so I was quite relieved when it was continued!  Until the 3rd January you can actually buy the stamp set and the dies as a bundle, Paisleys and Posies bundle so if you're interested in them get in quick, or you'll be paying 10% more :(  I've also made up this board to show you what the dies will cut out.
the little tiny tear drops fit into the little stemmed flower next to it.

If you're free on either of the above dates, do come along to one of the classes, if you're not free but interested in instructions (or a kit, although bear in mind that I can't do the stamping for you), do let me know.

I hope this has inspired you to create (and check out the new Occasions Catalogue) if you don't have one let me know and I can get one to you 😁

God Bless love
