June Class Cards

Hi there Creators Can't believe we're 1/2 way through the year!  June cards seem to focus on Designer Papers (it just happened that way 🤣)  however as I've been working out ways to show them off to their potential there are a couple of interesting folds we'll be doing,  Dates are Friday 6th June and Saturday 7th June.  Here goes....... Using the Beautiful Gallery Papers and a spot of pretty heat embossing then moving onto the Boho Vibes Designer Paper , and Round we Go Dies (continued from last year)  This next card uses the beautiful " Thoughtful Journey" Designer Series Paper, another carry over from last year, and I've pair it up with the Cheers & Sips Stamp set . Last but not least we have the Poppin' By Bundle used to create this cute card, also used the Textured Note Dies to create templates for masking the background. Something Saturday - Scroll Cards

 Hi there Creators,

Yep I've jumped on the band wagon, after having seen these cards all around figured I should have a go myself! (and in the process, of course, show you😊)

My first card I wanted to use the map vellum from Layering Designs Vellum, and create a "journey through life" kind of card.  If you check my blog regularly you'll know that I love this wave stamp from Waves of Inspiration Stamp set

After this I moved on to Designer Papers, bearing in mind that we have a heap of stuff retiring at the end of June, only 6 more days!, and some is reduced up to 50%!!  if you haven't checked it out, check it out here:  Retiring goodies

Having said that, this first one was made with some of the new SunPrints Designer Paper - love this colour! I thought it might be a nice card to send off to my step Dad who's currently in hospital.

 Then I did move onto the retiring papers...... the Flowering Fields Designer Paper is so pretty!  Gotta love this bling too! Iridescent Rhinstones

I then finished the video and had a fabulous idea......

Why not make a shaker card out of it?  so I restarted the video and showed how to make this card (so if you thought it was "all over red rover" after the card above, you might want to go back and check it out....)🤣 

All the components in this card (other than the base cardstock) have been reduced!!, check out this link for the goodies I used: What Heather Used

obviously all the beads decided to run to the left side lol (but honestly they do shake around!)

Something Saturday - Mixed Media Florals

 Hi there Creators, Well today I thought we'd check out something from the new catalogue, which will be live in just a few days (7th Jan). Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

 Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...

 Hi there Creators, The Global Design Project #261 challenge this week is a colour challenge: (check out the link to see what others have done)   So I thought I'd join in again, and try out a card type I've seen someone else show off recently  I know it would have been on one of the Stampin' Up! facebook pages, I can't remember exactly what she used, but I liked the 3D'ness of it 😄 and I have no idea what the card is called possibly Diorama card would work?  anyway I set to work trying to work out how she'd done it (although I suspect if I could re-find hers she'd probably already done instructions lol)  I always seem to take the hard way..... So here is my "take" on it using these colours.  The inside is the impressive bit..... The outside not so impressive, but check out that gorgeous Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper !  I've teamed it up with the Ornate Layers Dies , and the super soft ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metall...
