February 2025 Class Cards

  Hi there Creators My goodness over 1/2 way through January!, so I figured seeing as I've made them I'd best share my class cards for Feb.  Classes are Friday 7th at 1pm in my classroom Laanecoorie and Saturday 8th at 10.30am at Wattle City Church Argyle Road, Maryborough.  Class cost is $24 for 4 cards I thought we'd better make the most of the Sale-a-Bration goodies, so this is Heart Shaped Bundle (stamps & dies) that you can get for free with an order of $200, it is a pretty bundle!  I've teamed it up with the new Antique Pearls this next one uses the rather cool Linked Together Decorative Masks and also the saying from With You in Mind (I rather like nice large sayings for cards and this one has a few! Something Saturday - How to add veins of gold leaf to your stamped images

My Something Saturday this week is about how to add veins of the gorgeous Gold Gilded Leafing to your stamped work, I've used the beautiful Artistically Inked Stamp set, I think this is just soooooo gorgeous! (check the bottom for the link  to the products I've used)

 Isn't it gorgeous?  It's so easy, this stamp set Artistically Inked, is so forgiving to use, pick a few coordinating colours and stamp, you can stamp quite randomly, I like to try and cluster them together. then just use the fine end of the tombow (Multipurpose Liquid glue) to draw on glue where you want the gilded leafing to go, allow the glue to dry a little before dusting over with the Gilded leafing, and brush off the excess, I like to use a fairly firm sponge for this.  And voila gold veined stamped images, wooooooh 😍

  Hi there Creators,  Today I'm joining a Crafty Collaborations hop, this is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all round the world, cool eh?   This particular blog hop is What's New? and open to our own interpretation. Sitting out in my craft room I spied the True Love Designer Series Paper that arrived a few days ago, and decided on a spot of colouring in therapy, and the cards started from there..... This Designer Series Paper is black and white, and has some great images to cut out (if you don't mind a bit of fussy cutting) The first card I made with the paper was this one, I've cut the flowers out from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper, and used Stampin' Blends to colour them in. With this first card I've also used one of the Gold Hoop embellishments which I haven't used before too, I have to say the metal ring is really quite sturdy you can see the Gold Hoop a little more clearly with this photo, I've used a bit of the Gorgeou...

Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

 Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...
