Something Saturday - Brightest Birthday Kit

  Hi there Creators Today we're checking out one of the new kits, I have to say WOW!, maybe it's the holographic blingy bits (ooooo bling....🤣)  if you're a regular reader of my blog or watch my YouTube or Facebook channels then you'll know I can't resist bling.  Anyway check out the kit here: Brightest Birthday Kit And here are the cards it makes.... oh and their matching (also blingy) envelopes. Then you'll notice on the first card with the balloons it has a box that has the holographic outline, which is actually a sticker, so in the video I show you how to get the sticker off and onto a separate piece of card without having to pick it off and re-piece it yourself. And this is the card I made with it:  I probably should have used the same Azure Afternoon colour, but I had this piece of Shy Shamrock hanging around my desk, so chose to use that instead, and seeing as the star stamp hadn't been used I figured I should put it into action.  Its not a bad littl...

Class cards for November

Gee Whizz haven't the months flown by!  Not long till Christmas again (I love making Christmas Cards!)

Anyway Novembers cards are sparkly and 2 of them Christmassy 😃

I'll start with them.....

 Expressions in Ink, Artistic Dies, Angels of Peace, Stampin' Up!

I do love this angel from Angels of Peace Stamp Set, she feels really serene to me, I've paired her up with the lovely leaves die from Artistic Dies, and some of the stunning Expressions in Ink specialty Paper.  Not forgetting a bit of Wink of Stella for glittery wings😉

Stampin' Up!, Parisian flourish, Stars are shining

This other Christmas Card Ive finally got around to using a couple of things I haven't used much, the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder and the Stars are Shining bundle, I've heat embossed round the edge and combined my gold and silver powder to create a really cool champagne'y sort of colour

Stampin' Up!, Eden's Garden

Card #3 I've used some new stuff......Eden's Garden is a new Suite coming out on 2nd November I have used one of the dies and stamps from it, combined with the Gold and Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.

Artistically Inked, Gilded Leafing, Stampin' Up!


Last but not least, I think this might be my favourite card.  I love this stamp set - Artisically Inked.  It really doesn't need "dressing up" I've used 4 colours, and have to admit did add some Gilded Leafing.

The day I'm teaching these cards is 3rd November at 10.30am or 7pm, you'll need to book your place if you want to come along as places are limited Class cost is $20 which includes envelopes and instructions to take home too.  However if you'd like to make these cards and can't make it that day, let me know and we can arrange another day (the advantages of having my own classroom is that I can leave it set up for another day 😉)

Class cards for May

Hi there Creators, I have worked out our class cards for May now woo hoo!   Class dates are:  Tuesday 7th at 1.30pm in Laanecoorie, Thursday 9th at 7pm in Laanecoorie, and Saturday 11th at 10.30am in Maryborough.  Class cost is $24 for 4 cards with envelopes.  It's important to book your place if you're coming to Laanecoorie as space is limited. Here are the cards we'll be creating: Using the beautiful Unbounded Love Bundle and Layers of Beauty (I've only used the stamp set here, but Oh My Goodness the bundle is so worth it!), also showcasing some of the new colours: Shy Shamrock and Peach Pie (guess which is which 🤣) Then back in time a little as this was in the mini catalogue (if you want it, buy it now before the end of the month while it's still a bundle price with 10% off it!)  Ice Cream Swirl Bundle (stamps & dies)  again showcasing one of the "new" colours, although Pretty in Pink is actually an old colour with a come-back! Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

 Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...
