Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

CreateAbles Team Morning

Hi everyone,
We had our CreateAbles team morning this morning, which was fun. As there was only 3 ladies they all ended up with a raffle prize :)

Val taught us how to make this really cute little
Handbag/box, thanks so much Val, I'll have to have
a go at it! (we all took notes!)

I showed a spot of "how to use Project Life's Photo organising system", as I said to the ladies, I really don't get on well with Scrapbooking, as I find it uses more time than I have available, to do 3 photos, and nobody really admires it to the full extent of the amount of work I've put into it (if you get my drift!), so this I can do quickly/easily and at the very least my kids admire it! I plan to finish off this one and create one for my parents (as I'm terrible at remembering to send them photos) and once I've got one sorted the 2nd will be a synch!
So here's a couple of my pages, Josh's 11th Birthday (son #2) and Sam (#3) peeling carrots, shows you how easy it is to take your 4x6 photo and cut it in 1/2 or in 6th's to fit into the pockets😊

Lastly we created our Make'n'Takes, I'd seen a really cute card using the chickens and a chicken wire stamp, however lacking the chicken wire stamp, I worked out a different way using the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing folder . And me being me, actually the card ended up completely different! it was fun to do a bit of watercolouring.
When my phone decides it has enough charge to video again, I'll aim to do a video for the chicken card, so you can see how's it's created.
If you'd like to be part of my team, and have the opportunity to come to my Team meetings and do this "in the flesh" just ask me about it, or check out the tab above, about joining my team.  Sale-a-Bration goes till end of March and during this time when you join you get 2 extra free stamp sets on top of the already amazing joining deal!  Trust me 20% off your goodies, is sooo worth it - lol!

Anyway I hope this has inspired you to create,
God Bless love
