Sneak Peek time again :)

Hi Everyone,
thought I'd show you a couple more cards I've been having a go at with my new stamp sets from the upcoming 2017/18 Annual Catalogue. Oh, before I forget, please could someone try and comment on my blog, as nobody has for ages, and I'm a bit concerned that I've locked something!

First up this card uses the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Colourful Seasons Stamp Set and the matching Colour Theory Designer Series Paper - love these snowflake dies (so delicate) Oh and the branch is a die too!

Next is this card, again using the Colourful Seasons Stamp set, and there's a new set of 3 word dies, "Lovely Words" obviously this one is "friend" lol!
Ok, what else do I have to show you? Oh yes this one, isn't it sweet? how cute are the little birds? Its one of the new hostess stamp sets (Feathery Friends) and I've used all the new colours Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, and Fresh fig (also with a bit of Peekaboo Peach and Sweet sugarplum😉
And lastly I was playing around with doing magic slider cards, as I thought it would make a fun card to teach at Bendigo Craft Alive (which incidentally the dates are Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June)  I won't be teaching this particular slider card, as I have a better (in my opinion) one! this one uses Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.

I do have a son (Samuel) who loves dinosaurs, so I thought he'd enjoy seeing this one! having said that I've just realised that I haven't finished off the top!  oops, probably as I'm waiting to order a specific punch to use, but I can't order it till the 1st June (Oh the wait!!)

Ok well that's it for now, I'd best be off to bed!  Hope this inspires you to have a go, and someone/anyone!  please comment below to prove that I can have comments on my blog 😀

Mother's Day cards at school

Hi Everyone,
Yes I plucked up the courage and went into school to do Mother's day projects with them!
the little ones Prep to Grade 2's made this frame for their mums
which they did really well, I much appreciated the help of Lorraine and Erin (2 of the teachers!)  I had everything scored for the kids, and pre-cut the inside bits, and they decorated the back of their frames, and added a few glittery bits.
The older kids did a "Never Ending Card" which was a bit more of a challenge, although Josh (my 11 year old in that class thought they could handle it, and he helped me come up with the wording for my card), again I pre-cut and scored, but even so, the challenge was to get the card glued right. They all ended up with a presentable card! (I was very proud of them all!)
Here's mine:  Front of card
middle of card (first bit)
2nd middle bit of card
and finally the back of the card
which of course then folds down and your back to the beginning again!
I did end up having to buy this alphabet set (oh what a shame!) I'd been eyeing it up for quite a while in the catalogue, and Yay it's moving onto the next catalogue too, so still available if you feel a need for it - lol! check it out here: Labeller Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp set.
Well I hope this has inspired you to create in your space :)

Sneak Peek time!

Hi Everyone,
Yay my BBB's came! (short for Big Brown Box) yep they're in a wheelbarrow! had to pick them up from the postbox, and they were too heavy to just carry them (had 8 boxes of catalogues in there too)
So if you'd like a catalogue let me know!
Anyway these arrived on Wednesday about 1/2 hour before the kids came home - eek that doesn't give much play time!!  However I managed to squeeze a little play, so thought I'd share them with you, here goes......
this first set caught my eye when I first flicked through the new catalogue, it's called Crafting Forever, how cool are the pens/scissors/paint brushes and pot, and of course the saying!  I really felt the scissors needed to be cutting some DSP!  Oh and it's all new colours too (Yay!)
Ok next up is this:
This uses a stamp set called Daisy Delight, and a new punch - Delightful Daisy, Oh and new ribbon.... and new Faceted Gems (so cool)

Righty Ho onto the last card I was able to create in the short space of time I had!
This card uses Lovely Friends Stamp set, and the framelit dies Lovely Laurel Thinlits that cut out the flowers and more, check out the next photo
How cool is this?  they pop out from the middle of the card, although I've got a feeling the horseshoe shape is meant to go the other way! is that right or is it ok to have it that way round too?  Oh and it's so easy to fit into the middle of the card.  And isn't the little "Yes You" and the two hearts in the corner cute?

Ok well that's All Folks as they say, I wasn't able to make any more, so I'm hoping to get back in there again tomorrow, we'll see.

Anyway I hope this inspires you create (and want one of the new catalogues - again if you want one, let me know!)

A spot of Photo organising!

Hi everyone,
Well if you know me, you'll know that I'm not terribly good at remembering to take photos of everyday life (sometimes I remember the important stuff - lol)
Anyway my poor mother, keeps requesting photos from me, and I keep forgetting to send any!, so eventually around Christmas time last year I said, how about I make you up an album with photos (as I was having a half hearted go at doing one for myself I figured I could potentially do 2!  Yay today I finally got Mum's album in the mail to her!
I thought I'd share with you a few of the pages (of my album, as I'd already sent hers by the time I thought about taking photos of the pages - lol), and the front cover of my Mums' album.
Here is the front of my Mums album, really pleased with the way it turned out
So that's it for Mum's album - lol now you get to see some selected pages from our album! these first two show how to use the small 2" square boxes, you can either put reduced size photos into them, or you can use a full photo and cut it up to pop in, I think your eye just sort of fills in the gaps, and sees the whole photo!

Next up when we went up to Hervey Bay in Queensland we saw this Go Kart track, and just HAD to go back and give it a go!  I love some of the photos I got from this (with Tom's camera), again you can see that I've taken a couple of photos and cut them in 1/2 to fit them in.
Love this photo of Samuel, he was SOOO excited!  got to go on the tandem with Tom (apparently both sides had working controls (made for an interesting ride - lol)
And lastly my favourite spread of my album, Josh's Birthday party they had frozen drinks, and I found the perfect card to go with it - Smile Laugh Repeat!

If you're after some of the Project Life Cards or Albums, check them out here: Project Life there are a few reduced items (Yay!)  Now to finish our 2016 Album and start on this year!
Can't wait to see what the new catalogue reveals with Photo Organising!

Alrighty well that's it from me for now, hope it inspires you to dig out your photos and start organising them :)

Cards for Classes in May

Hi Everyone,
Wow isn't the year travelling fast!! Tomorrow is May, so here are the cards I'll be teaching in my classes, The dates are: Wednesday 3rd May 10.30am (meant to be in Bendigo, but the venue we usually use is unavailable, so it will be in my classroom for those who fancy the trip out), Saturday 6th May in Maryborough at 10am, and Wednesday 10th May at 7.30pm (my classroom in Laanecoorie)  Do let me know if you'd like to join in any of the classes :)
first card uses the Watercolour Wings Stamp set, and the Bold Butterfly Framelits (on the retiring list), if you have the stamp set, but not the framelits, I recommend that you get on and purchase them quickly before they run out!
Next up is this pretty flower from "You've Got This" stamp set, also a peek at one of the new In Colours, Lemon Lime Twist!, I think it looks so fresh, and a bit of Clear Wink of Stella over the flower

I thought I should use up some of my favourite Designer Series Paper before it's no longer available, and eek I've just checked it and it's on the low inventory list :(  So saying goodbye to Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper
thankfully the Garden in Bloom Stamp set I've used is continuing as is the Best Badge Punch, you probably won't be able to tell from the above photo, but I've used another one of the new In Colours in the stamped leaves (Tranquil tide).

And last card, I just HAD to use the brand new Eastern Palace Suite, as it will be available for customers to purchase, as a suite from 1st May to the 31st May, then in the new annual catalogue as individual items, this showcases the 3rd new In Colour Fresh Fig  (these 3 new In Colours are in the Eastern Palace Suite) Oh my goodness this suite has so many uses!
Anyway, that's it for now, I hope you can make it to one of my classes, if not, I hope this has inspired you to create!
Don't forget if you're ordering to use my current open hostess code: 7R4QTZMQ to go into the draw to receive the hostess benefits. (unless you're in my craft@home group in which case use the code I email you)

Todays Fundraiser Event

Hi Everyone,
Well today was the day of the Crafting Fundraiser for the Loaves and Fishes.  We had 11 ladies there today, it was a really fabulous day!, I thought I'd show you all what we created, I had originally scheduled to create 4 projects, but turned out we had time for 5 😊
We started off the day with this notebook and pen set, We were using a gorgeous Stamp Set - Strength and Prayers, sadly retired and sold out :( and the beautiful "Falling in Love" Designer Series Paper, again retired and last I checked it was on the low inventory list :(

and the back of the notebook........
Then moved on to this card:

As we still had 1/2 hour before lunch, I'd whipped up this extra card, first thing in the morning with a sneaky suspicion that I might need to fill in a bit more time (just as well I did!)
this is such a fun card to make, I figured a group of ladies together, and we needed Handbags - lol the handbags themselves are made using the Best Badge Punch, I think they make cute little handbags, and the ladies loved having an extra card to make. I also think the rings in the background look like coffee stains on a table, handbags and coffee, umm all we need is chocolate......  which conveniently enough I'd put chocolates into the little bags I made up for the ladies!

After lunch, Denise then treated us to a slide show explaining how and why the Loaves and Fishes community meals programe got started/up and running, which was really interesting (even though I was part of it, it was amazing to see the photos and the transformation that the church kitchen had)
I then taught the ladies how to create these next 2 projects
this card........
and this framed piece........
Everyone loved the gorgeous papers, and the projects we created with them, and of course in true Heather style I forgot to take any photos of the day, however I did get reminded to do the door prizes, which I'd organised for each hour (just as well someone was on the ball - lol)
I haven't been able to work out the exact amount we raised today, but it's around $300!  Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported this day, I really enjoyed it, and I'd love to do another day like this again, stay tuned....lol

I hope these projects inspire you to create.
God Bless love

Just a little add on now that all the monies have come in, We have officially made $400 which I will be giving to Coral Davies (the treasurer) tonight at the Loaves & Fishes Community Meals.  Not a bad effort, thanks to all who took part and helped to make it a great day.

Oooo something new!

Hi Everyone,
well I know I've been on the "What's Retiring" game show, but I thought I might show you a little sneak peek of something that's coming - lol
Stampin' Up! are bringing in early an ultra special "special" offer it will be available as a special offer from May 1st, then going into the new Annual Catalogue come June, so without further ado, let me introduce you to Eastern Palace Suite:

These first 3 cards are one that Stampin' Up! have given us instructions for (Ok so they're slightly different to the original Stampin' Up! ones, those of you who know me know that I don't tend to copy exactly - lol but they're not far off 😊) having said that they were a great starting ground for using the bundle of products. For anyone who purchases one of the deals on offer from 1st May from me I will send/give you the instructions for the above cards, and the 2 projects below.
So then I branched out on my own with them and created these:
First up this cute pop open bag/box. Oh my goodness just look at the gold! lol the Designer Series paper is sooooo gorgeous! Oh and you might have noticed new colours in the above cards, the purpley colour is Fresh Fig, then there's Lemon Lime Twist, and Tranquil Tide - I'm pretty sure you can work out which is which :)  I've teamed up the dies in the label on this box with the Layering Circle Framelits Wow I think it looks amazing!
and here's a nice simple card, what do you think of these new colours? which one is your favourite?  I think mine might just be this fresh Lemon Lime Twist, although I think the others are growing on me too - lol!
Ok well I'd best be off (time for bed!)
Hope you're feeling inspired!

God Bless love
