Hi there Creators Today we're checking out one of the new kits, I have to say WOW!, maybe it's the holographic blingy bits (ooooo bling....🤣) if you're a regular reader of my blog or watch my YouTube or Facebook channels then you'll know I can't resist bling. Anyway check out the kit here: Brightest Birthday Kit And here are the cards it makes.... oh and their matching (also blingy) envelopes. Then you'll notice on the first card with the balloons it has a box that has the holographic outline, which is actually a sticker, so in the video I show you how to get the sticker off and onto a separate piece of card without having to pick it off and re-piece it yourself. And this is the card I made with it: I probably should have used the same Azure Afternoon colour, but I had this piece of Shy Shamrock hanging around my desk, so chose to use that instead, and seeing as the star stamp hadn't been used I figured I should put it into action. Hi there Creators,
Well I've been saying that my new glass mat would be ideal for scrapbooking on, so thought I'd better prove it 🤣 Just as a side note it's Sale-a-Bation at the moment (SAB for short) till end of Feb, and you can score yourself one of these amazing glass work mats for free when you join Stampin' Up! Anyway moving on to the scrapbooking, I can't say I'm an expert at this, it's definitely not my favourite thing, but, I volunteered to create a scrapbook of our Carol service as a gift for someone. I have these bright ideas sometimes 🤣 Although actually I quite enjoyed making these sheets up in the video and I've had a few more ideas for the pictures with songs connected to the photos.
The first page is this one: not made in video - and as you can see it's remarkably simple!
Then I made this one up in the video, I decided the streamers from the Beautiful Balloons Bundle would look good in the background, and I'm happy I did do that, then some of the balloons to go with it, it's such a fun page with the little kids section of the service. Then the other side of the spread is this one, I've tried to connect up the streamers so it works across the 2 pages.
They are fairly basic, although I'm quite chuffed with my use of the Decorative Circle punch to create an interest in the corners of the photo on the blue page.
I tend to think the whole purpose of scrapbooking is to preserve the memories in photo form, and these will also have cards in the gaps, that those involved in the carol service are writing on, so I'm not really big on lots of embellishments, although we'll see how the other pages come out if I get more adventurous!

Hi there Creators, thought I'd join in this Sale-a-Bration Blog hop today, and I'm excited to see what others have created using the upcoming Sale-a-bration SAB products. Hi there Creators, I have worked out our class cards for May now woo hoo! Class dates are: Tuesday 7th at 1.30pm in Laanecoorie, Thursday 9th at 7pm in Laanecoorie, and Saturday 11th at 10.30am in Maryborough. Class cost is $24 for 4 cards with envelopes. It's important to book your place if you're coming to Laanecoorie as space is limited. Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is: I hope this inspires you to create one t...
