December Class Cards

  Hi there Creators Wowsers December already, and Christmas is just round the corner! I made up 4 cards then decided I wasn't happy with one of them, so switched it out for a card that is literally the star of the show!  As it does require a fair bit of cutting on my behalf I really need to know who's coming a few days in advance so I can have the right amount of kits made. Class Dates are Tuesday 3rd Dec in my classroom in Laanecoorie and Saturday 14th Dec at Wattle City Church Maryborough - yes there is a big gap between the 2 due to the Carol Service rehearsal on 7th Dec that I'm in  (so exciting)!  As usual we'll be making 4 cards for a cost of $24. And on to the projects..... Let's start with the "star of the show", A 6 pointed Star Card, using the gorgeous Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Sweetest Star Punch . Coffee & Cards November

So Coffee & Cards is on again next Wednesday (21st) in Dunolly, thought I'd share the projects we'll be making, firstly I have a confession to make, I am a Shaded Spruce Addict!  It would appear that I really have to drag myself away from this colour to use other ones lol.  Also I've decided to make a determined effort to start using some of my gorgeous Designer Series Papers, as I tend to love them so much that I can't bear to use them!

Anyway, onto some cards that just so happen to use Shaded Spruce!  And they both use the gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, that has those lovely coppery foil bits, I've paired this one up with my favourite ribbon it's so soft and pliable (and totally my colours!) Merry Merlot and Copper Reversible Ribbon, and the Christmas Traditions Punch Box (stamps and punch).
 

 The other card we'll be creating (let's face it its too close to Christmas now not to make Christmas cards!)  So again I've used the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, Oh fancy that it's got Shaded Spruce in it lol, I have used a ribbon that isn't shaded spruce but it does tone nicely - Tranquil Tide ruffled ribbon.  I've also found a great use, under the saying, for the mini boxwood wreath, which I've been meaning to use for ages! Saying and punch from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box again.

Celebration of Tags

 Hi there Creators, I've been waiting ages, but finally this stamp set has arrived and it's every bit as cute as I expected it to be! So of course I had to play with it....... First up I stamped all the images using Black Stazon (they come in strips of 3 to match the dies) and cut them out with the big joined together die.  Then got to work creating cards with them, I ended up with 5 cards in the end, Oh and I've just realised I forgot to take photos of the insides, bother! This first one didn't get anything on the inside, I stamped the tag up, then debated what I could do to lessen the impact of the white card, and came up with the idea of inking the little label then stamping it a few times without reinking, and repeating till the card was covered sufficiently.  I'm quite pleased with the effect I got!   This second card is such a fun kid card, you might recognise it from my previous post on Global Design Project #264.  I've tied the ribbon at the end, then th

What's New?

  Hi there Creators,  Today I'm joining a Crafty Collaborations hop, this is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all round the world, cool eh?   This particular blog hop is What's New? and open to our own interpretation. Sitting out in my craft room I spied the True Love Designer Series Paper that arrived a few days ago, and decided on a spot of colouring in therapy, and the cards started from there..... This Designer Series Paper is black and white, and has some great images to cut out (if you don't mind a bit of fussy cutting) The first card I made with the paper was this one, I've cut the flowers out from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper, and used Stampin' Blends to colour them in. With this first card I've also used one of the Gold Hoop embellishments which I haven't used before too, I have to say the metal ring is really quite sturdy you can see the Gold Hoop a little more clearly with this photo, I've used a bit of the Gorgeou
