Something Saturday - Mixed Media Florals

 Hi there Creators, Well today I thought we'd check out something from the new catalogue, which will be live in just a few days (7th Jan). I saw the Mixed Media Florals Memories & More Card Pack in the catalogue and thought they looked lovely, and yes they really are gorgeous! (link prob won't work till 7th) Anyway in the video I show off all the cards in the pack, and mention that I am doing share packs for various things in the new catalogue (Designer Paper, Ephemera Packs, Embellishments, Ribbons and this Memories & More) See more details at the end or send me a message. And here are the cards I made up using the Basic White Assorted Memories & More Cards & Envelopes : This firs one uses one of the larger cards, a couple of stickers, the stamp set "simply said" for the saying and some of the pretty Riverside Irregular Pearls . Coffee & Cards November

So Coffee & Cards is on again next Wednesday (21st) in Dunolly, thought I'd share the projects we'll be making, firstly I have a confession to make, I am a Shaded Spruce Addict!  It would appear that I really have to drag myself away from this colour to use other ones lol.  Also I've decided to make a determined effort to start using some of my gorgeous Designer Series Papers, as I tend to love them so much that I can't bear to use them!

Anyway, onto some cards that just so happen to use Shaded Spruce!  And they both use the gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, that has those lovely coppery foil bits, I've paired this one up with my favourite ribbon it's so soft and pliable (and totally my colours!) Merry Merlot and Copper Reversible Ribbon, and the Christmas Traditions Punch Box (stamps and punch).
 

 The other card we'll be creating (let's face it its too close to Christmas now not to make Christmas cards!)  So again I've used the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, Oh fancy that it's got Shaded Spruce in it lol, I have used a ribbon that isn't shaded spruce but it does tone nicely - Tranquil Tide ruffled ribbon.  I've also found a great use, under the saying, for the mini boxwood wreath, which I've been meaning to use for ages! Saying and punch from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box again.

  Hi there Creators,  Today I'm joining a Crafty Collaborations hop, this is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all round the world, cool eh?   This particular blog hop is What's New? and open to our own interpretation. Sitting out in my craft room I spied the True Love Designer Series Paper that arrived a few days ago, and decided on a spot of colouring in therapy, and the cards started from there..... This Designer Series Paper is black and white, and has some great images to cut out (if you don't mind a bit of fussy cutting) The first card I made with the paper was this one, I've cut the flowers out from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper, and used Stampin' Blends to colour them in. With this first card I've also used one of the Gold Hoop embellishments which I haven't used before too, I have to say the metal ring is really quite sturdy you can see the Gold Hoop a little more clearly with this photo, I've used a bit of the Gorgeou...

Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

 Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...
