Something Saturday - Hooray for Honeycomb Kit

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I thought we'd take a look at one of the new Kits that Stampin' Up! has brought out, it's really fun!, the name "honeycomb" kind of gives it away🤣 There are 9 cards to create, and it's a nice simple kit, would make an excellent gift for anyone who is thinking of starting off with card-making, there's no stamping involved - it's all "stick it together" and everything is included to do this.  At $32 it works out to $3.56 per card (which let's face it is pretty cheap for a card these days!) So here are the cards you can make (3 of each): Don't you just love the matching envelopes? The front of each card has clear embossed shiny bits on it (most obvious on the rainbow card at the top! with my photography) And there you have it, I haven't had the chance to play around and see what else I can create with this kit yet, so if you get it and do play around, let me know what you do! Something Saturday - Cradled with Love

 Hi There Creators,

Today we're checking out the Cradled with Love stamp set you can get for FREE when you purchase $90 of goodies Woo hoo!  it's only available till end of February as part of the Sale-a-Bration offering. click the link to see the sale-a-bration goodies.  Also if you join Stampin' Up! there's a rather good deal going on too, check out this link: Join my team.  Time is running out!

When I was at church the other day, I asked what cards they needed (as I usually try and keep them supplied with cards) and they said baby cards....yikes!  I really don't make many as most of my friends are my age, and have teenage/young adult kids not quite up to the marrying and reproducing stage yet🤣  So I thought I'd better get to work!  Thank goodness Sale-a-Bration has a dedicated Baby stamp set for me to use!

Here's the card I made up before the video: I have to say the detail is so lovely in the stamped image.

I did discover a couple of things that made me realise some stamps have to be used the right way round LOL, such as the bottle, turns out it has "liquid" in it on an angle, huh who knew?, and I think the mat is meant to go all the way under all 4 legs of the bassinet!  The saying is cut using the Modern Oval punch, then cut down again with the same punch, and I've added bling (of course) the Iridescent Pastel Gems matched in really well with both cards.

And very easily I now have 2 baby cards - wey hey 😃

I hope this inspires you to create (and know that you don't need to have heaps of layers on your cards to create a great card!)

God Bless love
