Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

Something Saturday - Card/Gift Card Holder

 Hi Creators,

well today I'm showing you a handy card to house a gift card (2 in 1)  It uses some of Stampin' Up!'s gorgeous Artfully Composed Designer Paper, I figured it would be a handy "boy" card (as my boys are getting a bit older now), I've picked out the saying from the Kite Delight Stamp set.

So here are the finished cards:

Stampin' Up!, Artfully Composed Paper, Kite Delight

Stampin' Up!, Artfully Composed Paper, Kite Delight

To make these to fit onto the front of an A6 card,

  • cut your Designer Paper to 13.8cm wide, and 12.5cm high, then take 1cm off this bringing it down to 11.5cm.
  • score a 2cm line along the bottom, and fold this over
  • secure in place with a couple of brads either side
  • Add the 1cm strip up a little bit and again secure in place with brads
  • attach the whole lot to your card
  • add other decorations, and slide in your gift voucher card.

And that's it!  simple isn't it?

Check out what I used here:  What Heather Used
