Got a new stamp set and dies!

Hi Everyone,
well surprise, surprise I bought another new Stamp set and matching dies! lol
This time I figured because I'm doing a "Coffee&Cards" class I should really have the Coffee Cafe Bundle
Coffee Café Photopolymer Bundle See? how appropriate!
So, I finally set to work with it and created these 2 cute little cards.......
The cards are small (dinky I'd say), the cardstock measures 7 x 14.8cm, and then scored at 7.4cm (you can get 6 out of a piece of A4)
Kind of loving the cute little Corrugated elements too!  (the little heart and oval)  and this evening I have just discovered that there is a cute tiny coffee cup that is cut out with the dies too that's in the Designer Series Paper (Coffee break Designer Series Paper)!
Umm I can feel some more playing with it coming along now I know about that.......

Ironically I don't actually drink hot drinks (tea/coffee) however I do like my iced coffee/mocha, so I'm seeing those ice cubes in a drink lol.

I hope this inspires you to create.

Cards for October

Hi Everyone,
Sorry it's been a while since you heard from me!  But here I am again :)
Wow it's nearly the end of the month, so for next month I thought we'd settle into Christmas with 3 of the cards for the month, and one bright summery one!  Classes for these cards next month (November) are on the 1st Bendigo, 4th Maryborough and 8th (eve) Laanecoorie
Let's start with the bright summery one, because I really love it! lol
Oh my goodness, I can't believe I hadn't bought this Iridescent Sequin Assortment before! and for 1c per sequin wow what awesome value!, got to show you a close up of them..... I've also used a new stamp set to me: Hello Friend, along with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.
How gorgeous are they?!! I think I'm in love again! lol

Ok ok, I'll move onto card #2 (we'll come back to that later.......lol)
Right, the first of the Christmas cards!
this one uses the Merry Little Labels Stamp set (comes as a bundle with the Everyday Label Punch), the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing folder (which I haven't used much before, but I really like the effect it gives!, what do you think?)  I've also used the 2" circle to punch out the saying, and the Starburst Punch under it, and what do you think of the bow? this is from the Holly Berry Builder Punch, and the extra bits are drawn on (no tying involved!)

Card #3 uses one of my favourite sets for Christmas words - Snowflake Sentiments, (comes as a bundle with dies) I think the font that's been used on the words is beautiful!
I've also used the Winter Wonder Embossing folder, but not as a folder through the Bigshot, just inked up and pressed on!  and the Houses are not stamped!  they're from the Just Add Colour Specialty Designer Series Paper, add a bit of Dazzling Diamonds and pop them up on Dimensionals (have to admit that I use Dimensionals all the time, have you tried them yourself?  did you know that dimensionals come in 2 sizes, and for $6 you get 300 big ones or 720 mini dimensionals! (and that doesn't include the outside bits that I cut up and use too)

Last but not least Card #4 I just had to use Every Good Wish Stamp set
I've teamed it up with Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist, and also *drum roll* the ultra gorgeous Year of Cheer Washi Tape (looks way better in real life than here)  Oh and not forgetting the leaf Punch (I really do hope this one moves into the next catalogue too, I use it so much!)

Well I did say that I'd get back to that first card, so thought I'd show you the other variations I made with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks....... Do you know what the pack is only $10 for the 4 masks, that's only $2.50 per mask! how's that for value!!

Saved the best for last (I think)  which one is your favourite?, let me know!

Ok well I hope this inspires you to create, and I look forward to seeing whoever can make it to the classes this month.

God Bless love

Interactive Cards Class Next Tuesday

Hi Everyone,
We're doing Never Ending Cards on Tuesday 17th October, if you'd like to join in, the classes are 10.30am and 7.30pm, or you can order a kit from me.  I can't stamp the kit, but you can add your own images, as the main part will be in the kit (cardstock, cut and scored and Designer Series Paper) and the gate will be cut out too (for card #2)

Here are the 2 cards we'll be making, they each have 4 "pages" so I've done a little video for each, otherwise it would have to be 8 photos!

Card #1 uses the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, along with Musical Season Stamp set and matching Musical Instrument Dies (comes as a bundle - yay!)

Card #2 uses the gorgeous Detailed Gate thinlit, Vintage Leaves Stamp set, Number of Years Stamp set and Large Numbers Framelits, and also the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  Isn't the gate so gorgeous?
If you are interested in ordering the kit, or coming to one of the classes, let me know.

I hope these inspire you to create!

Is Emerald Envy the colour of Christmas?

Hi Everyone,
What do you think is Emerald Envy the colour to use for Christmas?  I inadvertently ended up with a new Stamp set on Saturday, when we discovered that we'd ordered a wood set instead of a Clear mount set for someone, so I happily paid her for the difference, and skipped away with the wood mount set lol (ok, yes I will order the clear set for her to replace it lol)
Anyway the set is "Every Good Wish" which I've been looking at in the holiday catalogue and umming and ahhing if I should buy it, so Yay! I now have it!

Got to work with it today and created these:

they ended up just a tad Emerald Envy'ish!  Which strikes me as very Christmassy.  I've actually gone with In colours all the way with these 4 cards (and managed to use all the stamps in the set - go me!)  So the Red/pinky colour is Berry Bliss, the orange'y colour is Peekaboo Peach in the first card, I kind of felt that Peace needs a blue or green, Love is red or pink, and Joy is definitely orange! (does anyone else have that opinion or is it just me?)

Let me know what you think, and I hope this has inspired you to make the most of your stamp sets!

Eureka Stamper challenge day 7

Hi everyone,
Yep that's it made it to the final day! Day 7's brief was "It's World Card-Making Day" make a card and send it!
Thankfully I had my Saturday class in the morning, as Saturday was a bit chaotic then I ended up with a migraine in the evening, so by then I wasn't up to much at all!
However at my class I did end up completing one card, and one of the ladies who loves this particular colour hadn't been able to make it due to being sick, so I sent it off to her.  Later I read the challenge for the day, and thought Yay already done it!

So this is the card I sent her (might look a touch familar if you're a regular reader of my blog!)
I did replace the "enjoy today" with "hello"  This card uses the Leaf punch, which I have daubed colour (lemonlime twist) onto, pressing harder and lighter to create the varied look.  The saying is from Eastern Beauty stamp set, Then the main image in Rich Razzleberry is from Floral Phrases. Oh and the gatefold card is cut using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, to create the pretty bit to clasp.

Pheww made it!  I hope some of these creations in the last week or so, have inspired you to create too. I'd love to see what you've been creating!

Eureka Stamper Challenge Day 6

Hi Everyone,
Woo hoo made it to day 6!  This one was to create something with our favourite current Stampin' Up! item (something that if it went missing we'd really miss!)  Oh my goodness what a condundrum!  I made something, but then of course looked at what others had said, and thought oh yes I'd miss that, and that........
I will admit that I'd have to replace my bigshot if it died (Oh yes I've already done that - lol) however that didn't make it into my card!

So this is what did:  Teeny tiny Sentiments, whilst it might not be my favourite item, if I lost it I'd have to replace it because I use it so much!, and my favourite current Stamp is the Arum lily from Remarkable You stamp set, my most used punch is the Duet banner Punch, Oh and of course Wink of Stella - lol, so here's what I came up with:

I have used the Wink of Stella brush to paint on the colour (using it like an aquapainter), with the colour under the banner sayings I have punched an extra shape, then cut it through the middle to attach it either side of the underneath, so you get the colour on both sides of the saying.  And even though I'm not really a big "pink" girl I have to admit to really liking the Berry Burst colour!

Ok well day 7 to blog, and that's the whole week of challenge!
Hope this has inspired you to dig out your wink of stella and give it a go at painting with it.

Eureka Stamper Challenge Day 5

Hi Everyone,
Well Day 5 was (after our oldest stamp set on day 4) our newest stamp set/goodies.  Happily a new stamp set had arrived 2 days earlier, so this spurred me on to use it!
Labels to Love stamp set, goes beautifully into the new Everyday Label Punch, which in turn fits nicely into the Lots of Labels framelit dies!  Add a bit of Designer Series Paper underneath (in this case Delightful Daisy) and a touch of copper metallic thread, on top of a Mini Pizza Box. What more could you want?
I hope this inspires you to create!

Eureka Stamper Day 4

Hi Everyone
Day 4's challenge was to find your oldest Current Stamp set and create something with it.
My oldest current stamp set is Lovely as a Tree.
While I was thinking of my oldest, still current stuff, I realised that some of my punches I have had practically from day 1 too, my 1 1/4" circle punch and 1" circle punch, so thought I'd use those too :)
(hence the circles lol)  I have brayered the background with the sponge brayers, and added some dazzling diamonds stampin' glitter over the top.  And my 2nd oldest still currrent stamp set is Teeny Tiny Sentiments, so that got a show too!
The circles are actually inset but not really sure you can tell that, so I probably didn't need to go to the lengths I did to create the card lol (oh well.....) you live and learn!

I hope this inspires you to create.

EurekaStamper challenge day 3

Hi Everyone,
Yay made it to day 3!  The challenge today was to take 1 stamp set and use ALL of the stamps in it in 1 project/card.
I really wasn't sure how to incorporate a heap of sayings into 1 card, so I took the easy option and chose Vintage Leaves Stamp set, which doesn't have any sayings lol
So I also borrowed a saying from Rose Wonder Stamp set.  I really couldn't work out what to say on this card, was thinking of it being a "sympathy" card, but I think this saying works nicely. The leaves in the background are inked up first with Soft Suede ink, then I've used sponge daubers to add Garden Green, Early Espresso, and Cajun Craze.
The 2 leaves in the left bottom corner are done, by layering up gold heat embossing powder on a piece of card, so you press the versamark into the card, dust over the embossing powder and repeat, around 5-6 layers thick, then quickly pressing a stamp into it (then it's cut out), nice thing I did discover is that if you muck up and the image doesn't come out properly just add more powder and it all melts down again :) yay for quick fixes!
Doesn't it look good? they kind of look like metallic ornaments.  What do you think, are you going to have a go?  I'd love to see what you create with it!

Hope this inspires you to have a go too
God Bless love

Eureka Stamper Challenge Day 2

Hi Everyone,
oops this was yesterday's challenge, to find the largest stamp we own and create something with it!

As I have a few background stamps I thought I'd ink up one I haven't used much Marbled Background Stamp.
I wanted to create a multi-coloured effect, but the idea of using Stampin' Write Markers on such a large stamp wasn't so appealing, so I tried out the "Baby Wipe" Technique, but wasn't too impressed with the way it inked up.
So my next option was spritzing......
and this is how it came out:
I did feel this was kind of pink, which is great if you're a big "Pink" fan, but I'm generally not lol.
So then I made up another one using more green and blues
This is more my colours, but of course once I had it made I then thought I maybe preferred the Pink one! generally I'm pretty happy with the way it worked.
To make them I have had the stamp sitting in my bin, and I sprayed colour onto it (drops of re-inker, mixed with Isocol alcohol liquid into the Stampin' Spritzers), I've used 3 or 4 different colours, then having the stamp still the wrong way up, I've moved it onto my table and pressed the card onto it. You don't want to get the stamp too wet or it blurs the image too much.

Then with these 2 cards I've heat embossed the Stylized Birthday stamp. Love this stamp it's nice and easy to use, always gives a great image, and it's big enough to make a great card on it's own!

Well that's it for challenge day 2 (little late admittedly) I'll see how I go with challenge day #3 hopefully will be back later..... watch this space as they say!

Hope this inspires you to create!

EurekaStamper challenge Day 1

Hi Everyone,
Simone, the team leader of EurekaStampers (Stampin' Up Team) issued a challenge on our Facebook group a day or two ago, to create something everyday for the first week of October.
Today was to use a stamp set that we haven't inked up before (or not much).
I bought Graveyard Gate, for 2 reasons, the first is that it bundles with the gorgeous Detailed Gate Thinlits Die, and the second was for this card (which I finally got around to making tonight).  I also quite like the "You're Invited" in it too.
However I'm sure you're keen to see the card, so I'll stop waffling :)

How well do the gravestones work as Chess Pieces? (not that I actually know anyone who plays chess) I showed Tom (husband for those uninitiated), and he suggested the saying that I will admit to printing out on my printer.

Figured while I was here, I should also show you the Detailed Gate Thinlits too, I made this card up  a few weeks ago, for a lad who was turning 21, so far it hasn't made it to him yet!
What do you think? it has a belly band that goes round the middle that the "21" is connected to, along with the cute little key.  The 21 is cut from Dazzling Diamond glimmer Cardstock with the Large Number framelit dies, then sponged with Dapper Denim ink.  I love this graduated look.

What do you think of this bundle? What would you create with it?
I hope this inspires you to create.
God Bless love

Something Saturday - Shepherds Care meets Snowy Delights Masks

Hi there Creators,  Today I thought I'd play around with a couple of my latest goodies, Shepherds Care Stamp set and Snowy Delights Mas...
