Hi Everyone,
well I had a message from my friend Angie who'd seen the stamp set You Deserve This, and felt it was exactly what she needed to encourage her Jamberry team. It arrived and we had a play today, funny it's a set I hadn't really looked at till she pointed it out to me. Here it is!
So when it came I thought I'd do a little google'ing and Pinterest'ing, and came up with very little eek!
I thought I'd show you what I came up with for her (she had a go too, and was able to to reproduce one of the cards (then we ran out of time!)
this is the first one I made, not my favourite, the You Deserve This is heat embossed with Copper (not too obvious in the photo, sorry)
Next I made up this one:
Prefer this, I've mounted the 2 small stamp sets together and stamped those using Elegant Eggplant to create a background, then the Hooray is stamped using Berry Burst and cut out (oh by the way we ended up chopping up the large image with all the writing on it, so each could be used individually.), bother again you can't tell much but I added dots of silver glitter to the background.
Lastly I made up this one, I think this is my favourite!
so with this one I've used the lines and dots stamp to create interest on the banners (which I've cut using the Triple Banner Punch) I've also used the punch to create the 3 chevrons. There's a line of mini sequin trim along the top of the saying , and some of the sequins have been pulled off to create interest in the blank area under the banners.
Angie was pretty pleased with these results, so she's gone off with these cards as templates, and I can't wait to see what else she creates!
I hope this inspires you to create too :)
God Bless love

Interactive Cards class (Magic Slider Cards)
Hi Everyone,
Coming up on Tuesday 15th August is my Interactive Cards class, this month we are doing Magic Slider Cards. Which if you follow my blog, you'll recollect from the Bendigo Craft Alive Show back in June. We'll be making 2 cards (and you will have instructions to create more), here they are:
this one uses the Birthday Delivery stamp set and framelits, the idea behind a Magic Slider is that the image is not coloured when the card is slid shut, then when you pull the slider up, it magically colours the image in.
Here is the other card we'll be creating:
I love flowers done this way, this one is from the stamp set You've Got This.
Hope you can join us either Tuesday morning or Tuesday evening, if you do want to, please book as soon as possible, as I will be making up the kits on Sunday/Monday.
Hope it inspires you to create!
God Bless love

A couple of things I've created:
Hi Everyone,
thanks for joining me again today 😊 I've been making up a couple of cards for specific occasions, the first one is for my manager at work, who's leaving to go and manage a new branch at the end of the week :( However as the resident card maker I volunteered to create her leaving card, here it is:
I know she loves peacock sort of colours and pink, so after sorting through some of my old swap cards, I found some inspiration in a Bokeh card, I love the way it's come out (mind you I also love the effect of Bokeh photography!) I hope I'm fairly safe posting it on here, as I don't think she follows my blog! (and it looks better in real life than the photo will allow me to show)
Just a close up of the balloon, I think the pearls really make it stand out, what do you think?
The other totally unrelated card/presie I've been working on, is for one of my friends Birthdays (admittedly I have missed the birthday now, but I'm getting together with her for lunch today, so I'll aim for this post to be viewed after......
I just couldn't resist giving her the 21 again dinosaur (she's the same age as me), I know she's a pink and purple girl......
And for her pressie, as it was something small, I didn't think it would look too fabulous wrapped in paper, so I found this box (Stampin' Up! used to sell them), and it was perfect size! bit of decoration and Voila!
Admittedly using a couple of retired items (the petite petal punch, and blushing bride glimmer paper) but the larger punch Pansy Punch is still available, the ones on the top have a slit to the centre, so I could roll them up a little, so they'd sit up, umm makes me want to go and play some more....... lol
Ok well that's it, I'm off to my craft room for 20 minutes before I have to go out.
Hope this inspires you to create,
God Bless love

July CreateAbles Team afternoon
Hi Everyone,
thought I'd just share with you what I taught my CreateAbles team ladies today (for those of you who are part of my team and weren't able to join us I am uploading instructions, and more photos for you on our team facebook page)
Anyway on with the blog post! I taught them "Step" cards; side step and middle step
Here is the "Side Step":
We used the new Carols of Christmas stamp set and thinlits (love the cute little deer!)
The second card is a Middle Step card;
this one we used the Birthday Delivery bundle, cutting out some of the images from the Designer Series paper with the thinlits. The little girl facing forwards, and the cake are from the Designer Series Paper (also the background blue dotty paper) and the back of the girl and the flowers are stamped then coloured in.
Jenny Stewart also taught us how to make a Zig Zag card, and I showed the girls how to use the embossing paste, and spritz colour over top.
We had a fun afternoon, with a lot of laughs! If you are interested in joining my team, do check out the link above; "Join my Team, the CreateAbles", and bear in mind till the end of July, there is extras that you receive when you do join!
I hope this inspires you to create

Having some fun with Embossing Paste
Hi Everyone,
as I was scrolling through one of the Stampin' Up! related Facebook pages the other day I came across a beautiful card by Juana Ambida made using the Embossing paste, she was saying that as the embossing paste is white, we know you can colour it using re-inkers, but to do that is a bit messy, and the paste does dry fast, so then you don't have long to use it. Her blog post was showing how she'd spritzed colour onto the paste (check it out here).
I really liked this idea, so here are my first versions :)
By holding the stencil onto the cardstock, you can add the paste, then I've spritzed using a few drops of re-inkers, and topping it up with Isocol (which is an alcohol based rub, dries fast!) then you remove the stencil and Voila! the one above uses Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie, the one below uses Garden Green and Dapper Denim. They still need to be left somewhere to dry for 5 - 10 minutes, but I love the texture you get on the card, and the vibrancy of colour that you can achieve (if you add enough re-inker)!
I did take a couple of close ups to give you a better view too:
you can see the texture it creates with these 2 photos above, and below I thought you might like more of a close up of the "hooray", which is gold heat embossed onto vellum, as I thought white cardstock would be too stark over top, this at least shows a little of the colour through.
To use the Embossing paste, you'll need to have stencils the ones I've used are Pattern Party Decorative Masks, and you'll also need something to spread it on with, I've used the Palette Knives, and lastly to spritz on top of mine I've used the Stampin Spritzers (which happily come in a pack of 2!) although I think I now may need more........ lol Oh and lastly when you do use the paste, clean up everything immediately after, I just used a few baby wipes as I wasn't near a sink, but it washes off easily.
Don't forget for this month of July every $90 you spend will earn you a $9 "bonus days" gift voucher to use next month, it gets emailed to you, so don't lose your emails!
I hope this inspires you to create

Ideas for July's classes
Hi Everyone,
I missed out doing Christmas in July with you all, so I thought we could do a Christmas in August instead!, So here goes, I need some input with these, as we'll need to pick 4, and I'd rather they were chosen by you who are coming!
#1:this one is for sure, because I really love it! and it shows you the baby wipe ink pad technique it uses the new Carols of Christmas stamp set, wow the sayings/fonts in this set are amazing!
#2 this one is growing on me, I wasn't sure that I liked it much when I first did it, but it does show another technique - Versamark resist, with the new/old Glossy White Cardstock. The stamp sets I've used are: Watercolor Words (always makes me cringe spelling colour that way lol) and Star of Light.
#3 Not sure if this is too busy, I really like it but then I'm prone to these colours lol!, and not sure if you can tell but the star in the middle is embossed with gold again using the Star of Light Stamp set Oh and the music notes in the background are the new Sheet Music Background Stamp, every time I see the saying "Star of wonder star of Night" my mind starts singing, so figured very appropriate with the musical notes lol!
#4: Oh Yes we're back to the Carols of Christmas stamp set and framelits this time, how cool are the cut out sky scene and the trees? Oh and I don't know if you can see, but I've added sparkle to the trees in the form of Wink of Stella Clear.
Moving onto card #5, again I'm not sure how I feel about this card, I wanted to use up the trees that were cut out from the last card, but I'm not sure if the whole thing is a bit too white? what do you think? it does use the same saying as #2, so we can't do both of them!, Again the star and the saying are from the Star of Light Stamp set
#6: this card made me laugh, I just couldn't resist portraying Santa as a Chef, so it uses the ultra cute Stamp set Birthday Delivery and my little Santa, has gold mini sequin trim on his outfit, would have liked white, but didn't have anything I could think of:( Oh and the saying and cute holly sprigs are from Oh What Fun stamp set
Ok, we're there! as I was going to add one more, but realised it uses the same stamp as #1 and we're definitely doing that one! lol.
So, now I need you're input, which are your favourites? Oh, and did you know that the blue writing in these posts are links to the product so you can see what else in the stamp set etc? - although I do recommend opening them in new tabs or windows, so you can carry on reading the blog!
Well that's it from me for now, please let me know which ones you like (hopefully at least 4 appeal!)
I hope it inspires you to create,
