Something Saturday -Snow Crystal Stamp 3 colour heat embossed

 Hi there Creators,

In my video this week I show how to pop 3 different embossing powders onto this gorgeous Snow Crystal (159821 $37) stamp set.

Here are the cards I have made up after the video with the embossed pieces: I decided the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty paper went really well with it, so the first has the rose gold and the 2nd has the gold.  I've picked out a a saying from Trees for Sale (159785 $39), which also goes with the "Tree Lot" dies (a Sale-a-bration set you can get for free when you purchase $180)  I  might try and show this off next week actually, as it's got a really cute caravan in it too, umm stay tuned......

You'll notice these also have a pretty little sequin in the middle too, this is from the new Adhesive Backed Sequins and Gems (159972 $13.25)  I have to say that the sequins look more like gems, and I thought they were till I went to pick one off the backing!

Oh and, to do the saying, as it is all on one line, I have "masked off" the opposite side of the stamp set with a bit of sticky note, then inked it up, removed the sticky note and stamped: see the photo below

Do check out what I used for the cards here: What Heather Used

If you've missed the video and would like to see it - here it is!

I hope this inspires you to dig out your heat embossing gear and get creating!

Craft Alive Wodonga Friday & Saturday presentation

Hi Creators,
Here I am at Craft Alive Wodonga Friday I did a live video showing how to use the Stampin Write Markers to colour in the gorgeous Wonderful World stamps  (you can get the stamps and matching papers for free when you purchase $180 of goodies)
Here are the cards I presented, I love that using the pens allows you to colour one stamp in multiple colours - aren’t these stamps stunning?
Wonderful World, Stampin' Up!

To cut the A4 card to the right sizes: the white layer is 7x9.9cm (cut your A4 card into 3 even sections each way). The coloured card is 10.5x 7.4cm (to get this cut the A4 card in 1/2 to A5 then 1/2 again to A6 and 1/2 again)

Saturday I showed how to decorate one of the Craft Gift Boxes using the Wonderful World papers, and I put together this gorgeous box to house the cards plus a couple more cards made using the “left over” bits from the box:  I’ve used the Kraft Gift boxes which the C6 envelopes and matching A6 cards fit into beautifully 😀
Wonderful World, Stampin' Up!

During the video I said I'd give the measurements for the layers on the box, so the base plain colour for the two large sides (top & bottom) are 16cm x11cm and the designer paper that sits on top is 6"x4".  On one of these you'll need to cut the hole for the top - I used the Fabulous Frames Dies.  Line up the base card with the designer paper on top, place the die in the middle, and run through your cutting machine (in my case the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine)

Then for the two (or three) long thin sides you'll need base plain colour 16cm x 1.8cm and designer paper measuring 6" x 1/2".

And here are the 2 cards made with the bits I cut out from the middle - gotta love the Fabulous Frames dies!

And the whole lot together - I might make a couple more cards then I reckon it would make a lovely gift 💝

 Wonderful World, Stampin' Up!

This is the sheet I made up with all the items I used for my presentation  however you can check out this link instead:  What Heather Used which should take you to my website and show you all the goodies (except apparently the Wonderful World stamps & Papers that wouldn’t attach - you can pick them out as your freebies at the end)

I hope this inspires you to create

Something Saturday - Delicate Edges Dies

 Hi there Creators

Today I thought I'd show off these gorgeous Delicate Edges Dies (they were on my "must get" list) and I haven't been disappointed!  I thought I'd show case a couple of unusual ways of using them, so here goes......

In the video I show making your own stamps out of them, using them as masks and more.

This first card shows how I finished off the piece that I had masked back to back, makes such a pretty border!  I used the blending brushes to add the colour and I find it gets into the "cracks" easier than the daubers do.  I've used the Biggest Wish Stamp set for all these cards (such a handy stamp set!) And I couldn't resist using the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, they just go with everything!

Delicate Edges Dies, Stampin' Up!
Next up I've used the 2 negative pieces from the die cut and coloured in between them - remarkably easy to do with this die!
Delicate Edges Dies, Stampin' Up!
and here's the actual piece that was cut out, I've used the fabulous Artistic Mix Decorative Masks for the background
Delicate Edges Dies, Stampin' Up!
And in case you're wondering where did she get that fluffy twine......  yep I've dismantled the White Frayed ribbon 🤣
Then lastly I've used the stamp I created with the die to make this card
Delicate Edges Dies, Stampin' Up!
The Birthday kind of got lost in the background so I've gone with gold embossing, which shows up way better in the "flesh"!  I've also added some of the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon, I kind of figure it can be a "guy" card 😃

If you haven't seen the video, here it is....

Something Saturday - Handmade Tag Punch, let me count the ways.....

 Hi there Creators,

Well...... have you checked out the new July to Dec Mini Catalogue (aka Christmas Catalogue) yet?

Eek there's lots to love (again)  As you will have seen from my Christmas In July Class post there is this punch, Handmade Tag Punch, I'm excited with all I was able to do with it, (and suspect there's more!)

I show in my video the different ways you can cut with it to create different shapes - gotta love a versatile punch!

Here's my sheet of shapes, then after, the cards I created with it

Handmade Tag Punch, Stampin' Up!
Handmade Tag Punch, Stampin' Up!
the above card was actually the one I sent out as my team swap card (very exciting) we had our first ever CreateAbles Team Card Swap, and 7 of us joined in - not a bad effort.  It's exciting receiving the different cards through the mail!

Handmade Tag Punch, Stampin' Up!
When I made the above card I used one cut out to create 4 of the little ornaments and was left with this piece, which I'm sure should be useful for something, so if you have any ideas let me know!  Kind of looks like a flying weapon 🤣  And look you can even create mini leaves (or middle ornament piece)

I've paired it up with the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks  love this for a bit of something subtle, and the Silver Foil sheets which I've never used before, this sheet seems to have a pinky tinge to it (very pretty)

To check out the video, here it is.....

If you'd like to join in my Christmas In July class either in person or by mail, just let me know (you can find the details here: Christmas In July Class

Something Saturday - Scroll Cards

 Hi there Creators,

Yep I've jumped on the band wagon, after having seen these cards all around figured I should have a go myself! (and in the process, of course, show you😊)

My first card I wanted to use the map vellum from Layering Designs Vellum, and create a "journey through life" kind of card.  If you check my blog regularly you'll know that I love this wave stamp from Waves of Inspiration Stamp set

Waves of the Ocean, Layering Designs Vellum, Stampin' Up!

After this I moved on to Designer Papers, bearing in mind that we have a heap of stuff retiring at the end of June, only 6 more days!, and some is reduced up to 50%!!  if you haven't checked it out, check it out here:  Retiring goodies

Having said that, this first one was made with some of the new SunPrints Designer Paper - love this colour! I thought it might be a nice card to send off to my step Dad who's currently in hospital.

SunPrints DSP, Stampin' Up!

Then I did move onto the retiring papers...... the Flowering Fields Designer Paper is so pretty!  Gotta love this bling too! Iridescent Rhinstones

flowering fields DSP, Stampin' Up!

I then finished the video and had a fabulous idea......

Why not make a shaker card out of it?  so I restarted the video and showed how to make this card (so if you thought it was "all over red rover" after the card above, you might want to go back and check it out....)🤣

All the components in this card (other than the base cardstock) have been reduced!!, check out this link for the goodies I used: What Heather Used

Stampin' Up!, flowering Fields DSP, Windmill dies

obviously all the beads decided to run to the left side lol (but honestly they do shake around!)

If you missed the video and would like to see it, here it is.....

I hope it inspires you to create,

God Bless love

Something Saturday - Cute & Easy Boxes

 Hi There Creators,

Today's video was showing you how you can create these ultra easy "sunny boy" boxes, so called after Sunny Boy flavoured frozen iceblock/drink things.  Before I arrived here in Australia (Tom - hubby said, Oh they were so good and only 10c each......)  probably not 10c anymore if they were still around 🤣

Anyway, they are so simple to make, my one recommendation with them is to make sure the join isn't going to end up on a fold, so when you squash flat the bottom, make sure the join isn't central, but to one side!

Here's what I created, my first one was with a sheet of A5 cardstock (14.8x 21cm)  I had stamped the fishes on it first using the "A Fish & a Wish Bundle".  Then rather than sealing up the top, I've cut slits using the Label Me Fancy Punch. and made up a ribbon handle.

This next box is using Designer Series Paper (this one, Artfully Composed -so gorgeous is retiring at the end of June) so currently it's reduced to $14 (from $20) Bargain!!  Anyway this box is made from 8" x 4" cardstock.
And this last long thin box is made from 6"x 6" card!

Really you can create them with any size of rectangular cardstock.  So if you haven't before, have a go!

I mention in my video they'd probably be a nice alternative to Christmas Crackers or if you're organising a game where people need an individual something secret (like charades)

Do check out the video showing you how to make them here:

I hope this inspires you to create

God Bless love

Something Saturday - Nutcracker Tags Kit

Hi there Creators, Today I figured I'd crack open my Nutcracker Tags Kit (pardon the pun😃) I did discover there's more than you ne...
