Something Saturday - Click Clack Concertina Card

Image
Hi there Creators Well I was sitting last night wondering what to do for my Something Saturday, and playing around with a bit of paper, ended up designing this card, I've made similar cards before like the cascade cards, this is probably a bit more basic, but I'm happy with it and it's way simpler to create, but still packs a cool Woah factor🤣  I've used Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper which is on the last chance list. I decided it needed a sentiment so picked out this one from Sweetest Star Stamp set (last chance list again), because it has 6 words (1 for each panel!😃) and these Adhesive backed Snowflake Assortment are also on the last chance list and happen to be reduced to 1/2 price (woo hoo!) Ok, onto measurements.... You'll need a sheet of A4 for the base card, score it at 9.9cm either end, then cut in 1/2 at 10.5cm, fold so each piece is concertina'd into 1/3rd's then each folded piece needs a cut that goes 1/2 way up the card (in the...

Cards for Classes in March 2017

Image
Hi Everyone, Wow hasn't February gone fast?! I have worked out what we're doing in March, and here they are......  So, this first card uses the Sale-a-Bration "Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper", you can get this paper for FREE, when you purchase $90 of goodies at the moment (till the end of March) It also uses one of the sayings from the "Suite Sentiments" Stamp set, great set of sentiments! Next card is this one that uses the Sunshine Sayings stamp set , there is a heap of different words to use, so if the ladies don't want to say this, they can use other words (if you want to check out the stamp set, just click on the words in my text) Up Next I just lurve the Moroccan Designer Series Paper , so here it is used for the butterflies (punches Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly )   It also uses the Stamp set "Birthday Bright" Then last of all....... I think this is my favourite card for the mont...

CreateAbles Team Morning

Image
Hi everyone, We had our CreateAbles team morning this morning, which was fun. As there was only 3 ladies they all ended up with a raffle prize :) Val taught us how to make this really cute little Handbag/box, thanks so much Val, I'll have to have a go at it! (we all took notes!) I showed a spot of "how to use Project Life's Photo organising system", as I said to the ladies, I really don't get on well with Scrapbooking, as I find it uses more time than I have available, to do 3 photos, and nobody really admires it to the full extent of the amount of work I've put into it (if you get my drift!), so this I can do quickly/easily and at the very least my kids admire it! I plan to finish off this one and create one for my parents (as I'm terrible at remembering to send them photos) and once I've got one sorted the 2nd will be a synch! So here's a couple of my pages, Josh's 11th Birthday (son #2) and Sam (#3) ...

Today's Party

Image
Hi Everyone, I thought I'd share what I taught at the party I did today, the hostess really likes the Beautiful You Stamp set so I created this card for the ladies to make: They had a choice of the new Sale-a-bration glimmer papers to choose from to put behind their row of hearts, this one uses the Sweet Sugarplum, but also available in the pack is Mint Macaron, and Bermuda Bay (they're officially available from the 20th Feb to 31st March)  Also uses one of the beautiful lace trim stamps from Delicate Details stamp set, and the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Then the other thing I wanted to show was the really cool Project Life Cards, so we created cards like these, using the 3x4" cards from 2 different sets of cards - All Year Long Project Life Cards , and Hello Lovely Project Life Cards . (first card)   We used the Decorative Label Punch on both cards, funnily enough I hadn't realised I'd used it for both until I came to...

New Video - Reflection Technique using Beautiful You

Image
Hi everyone, Well finally the school holidays are over, and I have peace and quiet!  I'd been asked by a couple of people how I made this card: I have used the Beautiful You stamp set So I thought I'd do a video! However I also said at one point that I would show you how I have my room/equipment set up to do the videos!, So I got my trusty husband to take a couple of photos of me (before I started filming), he got a bit carried away, so I've picked (what I think is the best one) 😁  My room is also set up for a class this evening here, so I have just moved some of the bits back to create the space for the Vid!   Here's the Video!   And this next photo is what I actually made in the video! Do have a go at the reflection Technique, I hope you enjoy it, and as I said in the video, if there's anything else on my blog that you're interested in seeing as a video, do let me know:) I hope this has inspired you to create :) God Bless love Hea...
