3D train

Hi there,
well with Bendigo Craft Alive looming on the horizon this weekend (by the way - watch Weekend Sunrise as they will be broadcasting from the show!! let me know if you see us on it!)

Anyway, as I was saying with Craft Alive coming up, I was turning my mind to doing some 3D type items, I'd seen someone else had made a train using the Wood Crate Framelit dies, she'd used the really cute Animal Outing to put the kangaroo, giraffe, and Rhino in the carriages.  However I seem to be distinctly lacking in animal stamps :(  but then I remembered......

Yes! the Cookie Cutter Christmas has a reindeer in it! Cut the reindeer and Santa out with the matching Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (yay for punches!)  I was so pleased with the way this turned out, even Tom (the hubbie) was impressed! (he's insistent that I tell you the "smoke" was his idea lol) although I was the one that had to make it happen!
I hope that people will like this at the show.  Do leave me a comment to let me know what you think!
I hope it inspires you to create some 3D items at home too

God Bless love

what have I been making recently?

Hi there,
well I wonder what I have been making recently lol!  A quick trip into the craft room, a few photos later and yep I have been making things (oh thank goodness for that lol)

First of all I thought I'd share this ultra cute little apron holder I made, it could hold some greetings cards, or business cards.....
It's made using the Apron Builder framelits, and even though I'm not the worlds greatest cook, I still think it's cute (and I do wear an apron quite often when I am cooking - mainly to stop oil splatter!)

Next up I thought I should make a couple of framed pieces for Craft Alive Bendigo (which is coming up soon 17-19th June)
firstly using the new absolutely stunning Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper
Oh my! it really doesn't need extras to this paper, wow!
Alright last thing for today!  Another framed piece, using the beautiful "Share What You Love Designer Series Paper"

Again it doesn't really need adorning in any way, but who can resist a bit of bling?
I just had to add a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the flowers - eek couldn't resist lol

And that's what I've been up to....
I hope it inspires you to create too, dig out those beautiful Designer Series Papers and frame them!

God Bless love

Interactive Class "Book Cards"

Hi there,
On 19th June 10.30am and 7.30pm I will be doing my Interactive Class (also available as a mail out class), and this month we are doing "Book Cards"  (mainly with new products *yay*)

This first card uses the stunning Stained Glass thinlits, and matching Painted Glass stamp set
then inside you have the Sheet Music Stamp set, and I thought the saying "just a note" from Flourishing Phrases Stamp set (often a "go to" set for me) was rather appropriate lol

This second card uses the beautiful "Serene Garden Stamp set" on the inside, It reminded me of the sleeping beauty story book I had as a child
Then on the outside I've used the matching Garden scene framelits, this one is an embossing die (how cool!!), and the smaller dragonfly from Detailed Dragonfly thinlits
As I mentioned at the beginning this is available as a class in my classroom on Tuesday 19th June (10.30am or 7.30pm)  for $20 or it is available as a mail out kit, I can't do the stamping for you, but I can cut and emboss all the relevant peices, this is available for $17 which includes postage.
Do let me know if you'd like to book into the class or order a kit.

I hope this inspires you to create!

CreateAbles Team Day May 2018

Hi There,

We had our CreateAbles team day on Saturday, and had so much fun, I thought I'd share some photos with you all :)

Our day started with "Yours Truly" giving a motivational talk for my team (which thankfully seemed to go down well!)
Then we moved onto Rosalie Fitzmaurice from RJ Papercrafts doing a demo for us on the new Make a Difference Alphabet set, which is a beautiful set, and she did a fabulous job demoing it to us.

Next we moved onto our Make & Takes for the day, Jenny Stewart had made this beautiful creation for us (at least this was my interpretation of it, as we were allowed various stamp sets)

gotta love this "Share What You Love Designer Series Paper", and the beautiful Pearlised Doilies!

Next Up Renee Mallia from Crafty Nay's Cards shared this fabulous Creation using the Sea of Textures Stamp set and the Under the Sea framelits:
and this is the inside it's so cool! called an explosion card (kind of like a tardis, small on the outside, but when you get in, ta da!....... lol)
I did feel mine paled into insignificance a bit beside theirs! however with my card I did get the girls using the Stamparatus, which some hadn't played with before.  They had a choice of 2 cards, (same, same but different lol)

These 2 use the rather lovely embossing dies from Nature's Roots framelits, trees and sayings from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set, and the cards themselves are also new! they are the Delightfully Detailed Notecards and envelopes, I just think they're great having the already watercoloured look to them! (gee 1/2 the jobs done already!)

After Lunch we moved onto a fabulous demo by Cindy extolling the virtues of the kits (and there are many) I think she's sold me on the new Calligraphy Essentials Project kit lol, it looks soooo much better in real life than on the pages of the catalogue! (which to be honest is probably true about all the kits!).
I did a quick (very quick) demo showing the Pulled String technique - Oh my goodness it's soooo cool! just as a quick "how do you do it", Ink up a piece of string (I used Stampin' Up! twine, and reinkers) then lay it down in a squiggly line on one piece of card with a small piece coming out of the bottom, lay another piece of card over the top, put your hand over the ends, and pull the string out, and voila.....

lastly we made up colour swatches for all the new colours and all the the revised Colour Collections (we managed to get a bit of a production line going with some punching some tying and some writing)

All in all it was a fabulous day lovely to get together with some of the team members from far flung places who normally can't make it, and here we all are with our new catalogues, only a few days left till it goes live on 1st June!
If you have been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! and my CreateAbles team, do so soon as the next event that most of my team will be off to is the official OnStage Stampin' Up! event in November in Melbourne, I think the date to book is 14th August, and you'll want to have got the hang of it all by then! as the booking window is usually very short before it's all sold out.  Can't wait!!

I hope this has inspired you to create (and maybe think of joining my growing team)
God Bless love

Cards for June

Hi there!

Wow yes, I know, I'm ultra organised for June!!
And who would have guessed that I'd be using new stuff?  I really don't know which one to start with, can't pick a favourite this month, so let me know which is yours!
Sooo, first off we have this Abstract Impressions Stamp set to create this card, I love poppies, so when I saw this stamp set, I just had to create some poppies with it.
Card #2 uses the dies that bundle together with the above stamp set! Springtime Impressions Thinlit dies, there is another die in the bundle, a lovely butterfly, but how pretty is this large die cut?  and I think the sentiment will be one I use a lot!  This card just uses the new 2018-2020 In colours, they are so lovely and vibrant!
Card #3, Oh my goodness the embossing die is sooooo pretty!  This is from Garden Scene framelits, with the matching Serene Garden Stamp set (that the bird is from) and I've used the Ribbon of Courage Stamp set for the saying and small heart.  I've used the sponge brayer to create the 3 tone background
And last but not least card #4 uses one of the new Host sets Hand Delivered, if you would like to be able to get this stamp set you'll need to either: 1; host a party, I will come to your place and teach you and your friends how to make a couple of creations, then once orders are gathered up you will be able to pick some free stuff 😊, 2; join my Craft@Home group, or 3; place an order with me for $250 or over, and you can pick this as part of your free goodies.
The dates I will be teaching these cards are: Saturday 2nd June at 10am in Maryborough, and Wednesday 13th at 10.30am and 7.30pm in Laanecoorie, Do let me know if you'd like to come along to any of the classes.  The fee for the class is $15 this includes envelopes and instructions.

Don't forget the new Annual Catalogue will be available online from 1st June (yay!)  If you are placing an order do use the "open hostess code" for your chance to win the free goodies  9G4HM46V  this code will go through till around 10th June.

I hope this inspires you to create!

God bless love

Interactive Card Class May - Twirl cards

Hi There!
This month's Interactive Card Class is Twirl Cards, which are really amazing, when you open and close them up they have an element inside that spins around (how fun!) remember this class is a mail out class as well as in person - more details at the end.

I have taken photos but they don't really show it well, so also done a short video to show it better, however... photos first!  this first card uses the fabulous Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, and the sayings are from the matching Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.

The next card uses the cute Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, which is on the retiring list, so if you want more, get it while it's still there!

isn't the dog so cute?
And now to see them in "Action" check out my short video below.
And down to the nitty gritty.... The in person class is on Tuesday 15th May 10.30am and 7.30pm, please book your place by 14th, cost is $20 or the Mail out class is available for $17 inclusive of postage, this comes with full instructions.

I hope this inspires you to create

Cards for May

Hi Everyone,
Well as May is at the end of this week, thought I'd better get my act into gear and show you the cards we'll be making at the "4 Cards" classes on Saturday 5th, and Wednesday 9th.

I'll jump right in with a brand new Stamp set - Love what you do, which will be available from tomorrow, as a pre-order for you in special bundles (see the video Stampin' Up! have created for it in my "specials happening tab"
Oh and spot the new colour?  Grapefruit Grove.
Card #2 also uses new stuff - the Love What You Do Specialty Designer Series Paper, oh my goodness it's gorgeous, has a pearl effect (as Stampin' Up! is in it's 30th year, and Pearl being the 30th Anniversary "stone") I've teamed it up with the Duet Banner Punch and the Thoughtful Banners Stamp set.
Card #3, and we're back to the "old" finally using my Marbled Stamp as the swirly background, and the Stylized Birthday stamp (which is on the retiring list, if you want it order it soon!) both stamps are individual stamps not in a set! just realised that as I was typing this up, so thought I'd better share that useful piece of info with you - lol Oh also features some of the new colours Blueberry Bushel and Call Me Clover.
Ok and the last card #4 when I'd made this it felt very tie dyed!  I just love this Bubble Over Stamp set!  I think it has so many uses, so I've also made the Bubble Over Stamp set and Bottles & Bubbles framelits my Bundle of the month for May (that'll come in the next post) I've teamed this one up with the fabulous Eastern Medallion Thinlits, and some more of the new colours Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.
Well that's it for today, I hope you can join me either on Saturday (5th) at 10am in Maryborough or Wednesday 9th either 10.30am or 7.30pm in Laanecoorie
I hope this inspires you to create!
God Bless love
